    For 600 I could see buying this if it had a GPU block. You can get a decent aio for only 100 these days and it holds the same exact function. Terrible price for practicality.

    • @TechSource
      @TechSource  6 лет назад +7

      If you watched the end of the video you will see the huge gap in temps from an AIO. 30 degrees Celcius difference switching from the corsair h150i to the liquid cooling kit AND i was able to push the CPU an extra 100mhz. Yes, the price is high, but you are investing in your RIG at the same time squeezing more performance out of it, keeping it silent AND making it look cooler. Please dont compare AIO to custom water cooling, its not the same.

    • @reloadstuff5
      @reloadstuff5 6 лет назад +4

      I wouldnt call this all that "custom" its a kit everything is already there for you; you just need to put it together. Thats like calling an office chair kit custom. You also easily could piece together a better colling kit for yourself and I do agree its easier to just buy this without worry about the different sizes but for something that is 2x the price of the best practical cpu its a waste. And in the temps aspect thats because it has a reservoir and is able to hole at least double the liquid. I appreciate the reply.

    • @keenanmurchison2274
      @keenanmurchison2274 6 лет назад

      reloadstuff the pricing is actually a bit incorrect if you look at PPCS you can get the kit for 550, also it is a custom loop as its actually the same parts you can buy individually from EK just kitted together for you. Also having a larger reservoir has nothing to do with lowering the temps, the lower temps are due to the radiator being a 40mm thick rad vs your standard AIO which is about 30mm thick.

    • @reloadstuff5
      @reloadstuff5 6 лет назад +1

      so back to the office chair i can buy all that stuff separate but i choose to get it in a kit. and a 25% thicker rad wont give that big of a difference

    • @Rishab112
      @Rishab112 6 лет назад

      reloadstuff yeah ,it's not very practical.More of a show off thing tbh.Well u can spend on it if you have so much money

    Nice video. Thorough enough to cover everything, but short enough to not overwhelm novices. I've been building PCs for almost 20 years and still growing the balls to do a custom loop. I really want to do hard line, but I think I'll go with soft to start. I'm not sure how my patience would go with bending the hard line. Once I have it in my rig I can switch whenever I'd like for probably under another $100 USD.

    I'm trying to make my own pc, and I legit watched this video like 5 times, Now taking notes. At first I didnt know what you were saying with all the tec talk but after the 5 watch and my notes, It makes sense haha. Plus watching your Full Beginners guide that you made last year helps. I also watched your 1000$ Streaming PC. Still a little overwhelming, just trying to figure out what to buy what case fits what and what kind of fans/water cooling etc etc but I love this video cause now I really want this type of style computer shoot. Thank god I saved up cause this seems a little over my budget of 1000$. Biggest fear, Just hoping I dont get all this stuff and then boom it doesnt work. ANYWAYS! THANKS for these videos! I try to watch other youtuber but you really explain everything well that I just get easier haha Thanks! Keep up the good work

    Cool.....but no mentioning of properly cleaning your radiator since it can and will has flux inside the rad which can destroy your pump or cause the cpu/gpu fins to get gunked up. Another point is cutting the tubing NOT with a scissor but with a good quality tube cutter. Lastly in order to leak test your water cooled rig BEFORE filling it up i highly suggest using for example Aquacomputer Dr. Drop for air pressure testing once it shows no leaks on the gauge for at least 1 hour (better do 2 or 3 hours) then fill your rig with coolant, and make sure you bleed it properly. Oh also flush your tubing with distilled water before using it it might have dust and other crap in it. Dont use silver kill coils it can mess up nickel plated blocks use a good pre mix coolant (clear) that protects against corrosion.

    It is normally significantly quieter to mount the pump to the rad rather than the MB tray or case panel. The rad is a much more solid mount and effectively isolates vibration whereas the case wall is relatively flimsy and can transmit vibration for more noise.
