Ever since I was a lil ole kid I always loved mustangs, was always my favorite car. And thankfully this year I got one of my own 🙏🏻 it’s a v6 but I’m not a speed freak and it’s still a whole lot of fun to drive 🤷🏼♂️
You forgot the boss 429 and 302. The foxbody first came out in 1979, not the early 80's. The 2000 cobra is an 'R'. Would be nice to mention the saleen's and roush variations. The iaccocca edition as well was a great tribute car. Can't forget eleanor and the mistychrome edition.
The one role the Foxbody Mustang also got not mentioned in this video? Watching out for speeders...

It's a 68 what would you expect?
There are some shops doing coupe to fastback conversions if you can't afford one. Just be aware it will never be worth a lot. Fastbacks have gone up so much in price it's crazy. Or you could always get a new shell and do a full kit build over time but depending on your state titles can be tough because it will follow new emissions ECT anyways keep the dream alive and you will have it.
S. Bull there's a 68 Shelby gt500 for sale in my area and it looks sick as hell but I'm about to buy the 2018 gt so there's no chance of getting it

My mom bought a Mustang a couple years ago. It’s the last V6 model ever made. Manual transmission, no frills, the car is amazing. If I didn’t live in Canada I’d buy one and drive it all year.
The only Cobra with a supercharger was the "Terminator" (all Cobras before that were N/A) and the Cobra with the big wing is a Cobra R.

a little bummed there was no mention of the 93 cobra r, or the 95 cobra r with a 5.8L V8. And no mention of the 96-98 cobra, or the 93 cobra for that matter, since it was the introduction of fords special vehicle team working on the mustang with the name SVT (not SVO) and using the name cobra again. Also, mention of the 662hp gt500, but no mention of the generation before that bringing back the shelby name for the first time in decades on a mustang.

My uncle put a 302 boss in a 74 mustang and I had a lot of fun pushing that thing almost to the limit, the engine was so heavy the front end would bottom out on the shocks but doing a burnout at 40mph was frickin awesome! I today own a 09 gt, and I absolutely love it and its retro style I can't wait to make it faster, and it's not slow, smokes tuned hondas and sounds like a monster when she comes alive! Love your show thanks for all the laughs too!

The new edge cobra R had a big wing and was instantly a collectable. The regular cobra however lacks the wing but falls more in line with what James said

Correction: the 99-01 Mustang was N/A and the 03-04 was the only supercharged SN95. Also you didn't mention the facelift in 2013 as well was the power bump in 2013 to 420 horsepower.

PeRXiTY the ford didn't really update the car to 420hp , it already had that with premium fuel in 2011. The dyno numbers and acceleration between a 2011 and 2014 are EXACTLY the same, so i wouldn't mention it either.
The 2013 5.0 is actually a bit different from the 2011. They used smaller head bolts, got rid of the oil cooling jets, phosphorous coated the pistons, and used the boss 302 piston rings. They also made calibrations to the computer. The front timing cover also has minor changes. They are not EXACTLY the same.
When ford rates their horsepower numbers they use 93 octane tunes so the 412 hp in 2011 was Ford using 93 octane, the 420 in 2013 was Ford using 93 octane. Don't believe me go on their website and look at the current mustangs advertised HP rating, it will have an asterisk letting you know it was achieved using 93 octane, they have done this for years.
Kara G i have them both , bone stock and they have 375rwhp and 377rwhp.... almost the same numbers and they acceleration down the track at similar times. I. Aware of the oil squirters but one is definitely not more powerful.

Bought my first mustang in 2018, still own the 4cy turbocharged ecoboost 2016 triple yellow premium..
My biggest memory is when I travelled to Ottawa from Toronto and couldn’t afford the hotel (was broke back then) and decided to sleep in the mustang, I drove the 850km round trip, visited everywhere slept in the car at a -1 Celsius... and went back to Toronto pushing the 220km in some stretches of the highway.
I also crashed the car one year ago and decided to rebuild it myself, I own what I know about fixing cars to the mustang.
The clubs, cruises to Niagara Falls, the fellowship, owning a mustang is more than owning a car, you belong to a part of fords history and a gigantic club where even if you don’t know the other person you nod in acknowledgement because he owns one two.
What about the 03/04 Mach 1? I know it was completely over looked because of the 03/04 Terminator but it was definitely no slouch especially compared to the base GT of that body style
And roush tuned some of them and also @100 mph the shaker hood would produce more positive pressure than the supercharged mustang

That movie was 30+ years old when I first saw it as a kid, and it blew my fucking mind. H.B. Halicki wrote, produced, funded and starred in the movie. He broke his fucking arm when he spun out and smacked into the light-pole, but he kept going with the scene. Such an epic movie that people always overlook because of 'Bullet'.

Mr 7K5 the older ones were much more iconic. The AE86 chassis was RWD, nimble and agile. Overtime it just became an economy sedan lol. But the BRZ/FRS/GT86/Toyota 86 took inspiration from the AE86 driving experience and brought it to modern day light.

In the late 80's a child hood friend of mine bought a pinto and stuffed a 302 ( reenforced frame ect ). he would race mustangs and laugh all the way to the stop light and never once popped the hood after he won lol. I knew but was sworn to secrecy lol. he sold it much later after grad because the car became (in)famous as no one would race him anymore.
Legend has it he was pulled over buy a local. Upon bragging that this car would smoke that cruiser they went light to light. Condition was: he wins he goes home with a warning, he looses impound and jail, revoked lenience etc.
He agreed and won, he shyly admitted to me that he did open the hood after and talked with the cop for a while about the car. Not sure where the fish story starts and ends yet the local PD at the time? Yes they would.

Well, you could have alleviated your concern by simply reading the upload date and realizing this is one of the first up to speeds they ever uploaded and simply assuming that he got more upbeat the more production quality rose. Or, we could just pretend like time doesn't exist and assume that every single one of these videos was uploaded on the same day, that seems to be the hot trend for all of the comments from the past half a year.

I owned an S197 V6 with a stick shift for about 6 months and I have one takeaway: THIS IS PROBABLY THE BEST CAR YOU CAN BUY FOR $5000. Looks sick, with a $180 muffler is sounds amazing, and with some other minor modifications to bring it into the 2010s it becomes a truly great car. Should I have sold it? I question that decision often.
If I had the cash, the S550 ecoboost would probably be my car of choice, they ironed out all the little issues that gave me pause with the s197.
