@ByallMeans8270 How many of these have you replaced in your shop? With the Honda warranty extension on the AC Compressor Shaft leak, I've read that up to 40% of the Honda's coming in for the AC compressor shaft leak warranty extension, that the discharge hose is often a failure item too and is NOT covered by the shaft leak warranty extension. You must be getting a lot of work!
getting ready to do a compressor on a 19 1.5L Service manual says to drop the subframe to get it out. See anything about getting it out through the top ? exhaust removal or condenser and rad removal?
I don’t really remember but you should be able to reach down in the engine bay to disconnect it. If you having trouble get a pocket flat head tap it in to break the seal. Spray silicone/wd40 when you start to see a gap on the oring
Have the same issue, honda quoting 641 for hose and 425 for rechage= 1066$. Only then they will check if the compressor seal. What would be the fair price for this repair if I get it done outside ?

@@jdjccs74 At the time yea that’s all we was doing throughout the day lol. Easy work! It’s either the compressor, condenser, or ac hose/line
If mine has a crack in it can I still replace this at home then bring it somewhere to get Freon filled? Or will it lean Freon when I take it off?
Maybe but you need to discharge the system cause it may still have Freon in there. It’s also not good to let stuff out in the atmosphere

Nah I don’t think you to do all that what model is that? You should be able to get underneath once you remove the plastic shield
How did you disconnect the othee end of the discharge hose. I cant get to it at all.

Why did you change out the line? I have a 17 CRV with warm air blowing. My line looks like it has oil in it. Thinking it’s a Freon leak.
If you see oil on it, it's leaking. The ac system has oil in system to lubricate compressor.
That line was leaking so it needed to be replaced
Did you purposely remove front bumper just to do this task?
Yea you got to
Bro what do you guys charge to change this line please 🙏🏻
@@RareCnC Probably around 4 hours I don’t remember. A/C evac recharge normally around 1.4 hours for just that
why does this cost $300 dollars to replace
My quote from Honda the part is $91.76 and labor is $897 and that doesn't include the freeon
@@dakotabounderjust paid $880 with Freon gas all included labor parts and gas🫣 at Honda center
@@dakotabounder $880 at Honda center labor parts and gas still a lot for a $88 part as part of the quote and $60 online

Same problem on 2018
Have you replaced the line and recharged the system?
