I used this video to guide me through the replacement of my iPhone screen. It worked awesomely, I watched a a few others before choosing this one and none were as good. Thanks for making it. 😊
Best video I had seen so far. No unnecessary talking, breathing on the microphone etc. Just very concise and right to the point. Clear and close up video just as it should be.
Yep, great video. Perfect. Every single step. I'm just gonna say this for all the normal people out there. If you don't have tiny hands it's gonna be a struggle. If you think you had good eye sight, these screws are gonna prove to you whether you were right or wrong. These screws look big in the video....they ain't. You can hardly tell any of them apart, and there is no way I can tell which one has which head. You need a bright light, and a nice, big, CLEAN working space. If one of these screws pops away.....she gone. I got it all put back together...somehow had 3 screws left, plus a pentelope screw that I couldn't get to grab when putting it back together. For me, this is a one shot deal....I screwed up so many screws I'll never be able to do this to this phone again. But....this time it worked, and all thanks to this video. By the way the first video I watched was some lady doing this....She got to the part where you remove the home button and says "now just remove the home button and the camera and you are home free". Like.....WTF. lol. I had a little trouble with the camera ribbon getting it to line up correctly, but seriously...overall the ribbons are not a problem. The screws man. The screws. I got extras left over if anybody need em.
HAHA ive always tried to fix my kids iphone screens. After 1st attempt i got smart and id draw a ruff diagram of the insides and were all screws went and as i removed screws id place them on theyre spot on the diagram. Works great...until about 3 quarterz of the way to job done the cat comes in to say hi. Before i could react cat jumped onto table...onto paper diagram and tiny screws flew everywhere 🤣 dont think the cats ever run so fast as that day! Its funny man, that was years ago and i found i tiny iphone screw stuck between floorboards a few months ago 🤷🏾♂️ Clean, bright, tidy work space helps a lot...and patience i find. Just take my time👍
@@mancomesaround8442 hi mate I’ve done a few screens but not really payed full attention to it as I don’t want to mess things up lol , I’ll look back at it again soon of course
Thanks, managed to get this done with the help of the video. The screws on the metal plate were 3-point screws on mine, not sure if video is wrong or they differ?
Done it in no time with the help of this video!! Appreciated! Be careful dont apply force on the Y screws; you can easily break the head of the screwdriver that comes with the replacement screen! I had to buy and wait two days for a new screwdriver
Thank you for posting this. It was very helpful. May I suggest you alert others to the fact that you can buy pre-cut adhesive which will help the repair. Also, it’s worth testing the screen before final assembly. Thank you, yours was the easiest to follow.
This video is fantastic but I only critique would be it understates how difficult it is to pry the old screen out. I used an exacto blade to carefully cut around the edge and finally i could get the triangle pick in there to wiggle more room. Also if you're screen replacement kit came with a waterproof sticky edge, you'll have to watch another video on how to install that too.
I’ve watched several videos on the iPhone 7 screen replacement and yours is the best one so far and the most competitive video yet. You did an awesome 👏 job and thanks for your help with this video! Best one yet and excellent video! Thanks again 👍✅💕🇺🇸
Great video! I followed the video and everything went smoothly. But when i reassemblied and turned on the phone the screen wouldn’t work. I can feel vibrations when i get notifications and such. It’s just that the screen is completely dead aswell as the home button. Do you think i have done something wrong or is the screen broken? Thanks alot!
@@randycollens2681 Thanks for the help. Even if a year later : ). I did manage to fix it and even did another screen replacement after that on the same phone. I ended up throwing that phone away getting a new one about 8 months ago.
Fuck bro, this was a great tutorial except for one major thing. You never said to disconnect the battery, which is apparently extremely important. My phone is ruined now. Again great tutorial, I'm just extremely depressed rn.
Not disconnecting the battery will not ruin your phone. I have done thousands of repairs never touching the battery because when you do, it sets off a protocol on the logic board to Smc reset. I don’t know why several people who are looking for “gotcha” flaws in my videos keep commenting about something they don’t really understand. Look, we stopped wearing static straps back in 2005, that’s 15 years ago, internal tech designs have changed for safety against shorts.
You couldn’t have reined your phone because of the battery being plugged in. Perhaps the screen you ordered is doa or you bent the pins on it or just need to reseat it.
@@GRIBSOFT First off, I'm not looking for "gotcha flaws," and secondly every other source I'm finding says that that is a very important step. For example, and this is the situation that most nearly matches mine www.ifixit.com/Answers/View/520292/Phone+dead+after+replacing+screen+%3E+didn%27t+disconnect+battery "Removing all sources of input power is generally a best practice for working on anything involving electricity. That said, in phones, the reason why it is stressed so much is that FPC connectors are especially prone to allowing contact when misaligned. This can send voltages to the wrong lines on a screen or, in more dramatic circumstances, create a short between two pins on the FPC which will likely blow a component somewhere on the line. Not having damaged a phone is great but it's one of those things that is never a problem for you until it is. Being the only board-level tech in my area as well as now starting to do mail-in repairs, I see a huge number of devices with blown components due to exactly this issue." "It’s very important to always disconnect the battery before disconnecting/reconnecting the screen assembly. The issue is that the LCD connector has pins that have high voltages (i.e. the backlight is ~20V) and ground in very close proximity. When you fumble around trying to line up the connector plug to the receptacle, you can short out the voltage rail and cause damage to the components in the backlight circuit. If you’re lucky, then only a backlight filter is damaged but other times, the entire circuit could be affected. Either way, this type of repair requires micro-soldering and isn’t really a DIY repair."
@@GRIBSOFT removal of VCC power absolutely does NOT set anything off. Not sure where you read that, but that’s incorrect. Disconnect the battery, don’t disconnect it, It doesn’t really matter. Just make sure you have the phone OFF.
He didn’t show to disconnect the battery, which should always be done before disconnecting a screen. But you likely tore a ribbon cable during the swap.
You energized it or shorted something during the swap. Easy fix, restore it. May need to put it into DFU, download the current software, and manually restore it through iTunes.

How complicated and hard to mess up is this ? Really don’t want to break my phone further :/

Reopen and check the screen connection cable, reseat it. If it doesn’t help then most likely it was a bad screen, have it exchanged.
My first time doing it and you really helped out the most thanks so much for the help🙌🏽
very good and detailed video. thank you :) i will replace my ip 7 screen in near future maybe.
BRQ Oxapam are the screen in the description good quality?
Very smooth tutorial appreciated for that! Very helpful

Thanks for sharing this video. It was helpful and also girls it can do. :) Step by step. Nice done.
Thank you 🙏 for your all videos your explain very nice 👍 thanks
Do I have to put the “water proofer” / double sided tape around the edges when putting the new screen on the phone? Thanks in advance
It's your choice, in my experience once the seal is broken the replacement gaskets are ineffective
Okay, thanks bro. Happy New Year! Peace & blessings to you & your family.
used this video for my shattered screen and now it works perfectly
Don't normally comment, but this is great thanks mate.
if i take a iphone 7 screen and swap it with my other iphone 7 . Can i just connect it with the 2 wires or do i need to replace home button and camera
You will have to swap the home button to keep the ability of touch ID
Do you need to disconnect the battery as well?
Great tutorial, not so great music!
I followed the tutorial step by step now the screen won’t turn on what do you recommend
Check if the lcd cables ripped
Not all replacement screens work. Always test the new screen first before proceeding with the swap of parts and closing.
Can't see which way up the camera cable is fitted?
Now my home button doesn’t work - that happens to a lot of people that if you replace the screen the home button stops working search RUclips
amazing video the calm voice helped me keep calm too:)
Good one. I could replace iphone 7 screen easily thanks
"Go ahead" count: 3,000,000,000
it helped me thanks
Thank you, so helpful!
Blud needs to unplug battery before screen
Questions:
Is the inside of the phone supposed to smell like Nail Polish?
Is the home button required to start the phone
No, it’s not. That means the battery has a tear and leaking that smell
Ima fix my phone in a couple of hours thanks bro
I changed my screen, but the touch ID is not working, any advice???
Open the iPhone & check the home button cable if it is ripped or stretched
Must keep the old home button and swap it over
Such a good video. Thank you
