Lol!! one of the d best video I have ever seen for a glass replacement. This man does everything using his hands..no OCA machine or separators machines used here. Salute to u bro! U d fixer!!
I've found that buying the glass with the bezel already installed is actually cheaper than buying them separate and it makes it easier plus it acts kind of as a guide for the LCD and makes it to where it can't go far off center
9:30 How to know that the screen is aligned well with the LCD? feeling from the sides should be easy enough to align left and right, but how about up/down direction? (directions are like if you were to hold the phone in your hand)
Wow thanks so much for the info, I have been replacing screens for a while and always save the old ones, now I am glad I did. Thanks for the informative video!
Wow! Thank you very much! I have replaced my battery, now after watching you’re video, I feel confident I can replace the Glass as well. I guarantee I’ll have to watch it several more times,). I Appreciate you.
Follow up. I have my kit. At 4:30, I'd love to see those screws come out with the tool I was provided. I'm on hour 3 removing the second of these screws. Still wont budge. About to do permanent damage to the LCD. (I've replaced these before with other kits) Tools are total garbage.
I really appreciate you doing this video bro, I swear I've damaged 4 LCD Screens of Google Pixel trying to replace battery. I tried using plastic cards, but I liked this method that you demonstrated. Do you think this technique work with Google Pixels?
I just got my kit after a couple weeks without any communication from ErCellutions. I was getting ready to dispute the transaction, and suddenly I see a tracking number on my PayPal account. The kit came with poor quality tools, but its what you see in the photos on the site, so I expected that. My kit did NOT come with a Y-tip driver needed for the repair. Luckily I already had one of my own.
Same issue here. Look elsewhere people. Took nearly a month to receive and does not come with the 'tri-tip" Y-000 screwdriver, so now I have to hope I can find one elsewhere. Waste of time and money.
How can get the kits? Id love to get this free repair your tlaking about? Your website wont let me purchae, nor does it have any contact info and Amazon doesnt have any kits either. Please advise... Thanks Joe
Hi mate I want to do this as I have a few iphone 6s screens genuine apple ones that I want to practice on you know the iphone 7 people say that replacing the home button fucks the finger id up I know you havnt replaced it and used the original one but what I've seen and been told that the once you disconnect the home button don't it come up with error code and u no longer have touch Id? With you taking the home button off did the finger ID and home button work after you did this repair? Cheers
He makes it look so easy because of his expertise, actually it is better to do it with suitable equipment (lcd separator), I broke two displays before doing one succesfully
it's only the glass broken on mine but I am comfortable replacing the whole screen, after watching this I have ordered glass and glue kit to try on the screen I am replacing if it looks good then I have a spare. Thanks for the video man.
I have a shattered iPad mini that would love to be a guinea pig. Great video btw, very helpful tips. I started repairing my own iPhones when I had the iPhone 4, and I mastered the 5s and 6s. Now I am going to attempt a 7. You guys only sell the glass(digitizer), no LCD?
Hi , help!! Watched your video and followed it to replace screen on iPhone 7 , after changing the screen at first I had a dim glow on screen but nothing more, so rechecked all connections but phone won’t turn on at all now 😟but the home button pulses when touching so think it has power, any suggestions gratefully received
Do you have a video on how to take off the side seers? Two of them seem to be glued on 😫 I noticed you had a little trouble with yours too. What did you do?? Please help! Lol
I used a can of compressed air upside down to instantly freeze the glass (I MEAN FREEZE GOOD) and it really made it easy to release the glue from the glass.. maybe easier than heating it.. Just a tip if anyone heard to use dry ice, I didn't have that so I took a chance with the upside down air can and it worked well.
Just seen your video I had one question I have an iPhone 7 that needs screen fixed I ordered the screen and tools is that all I need? glass, tools and glue etc. I seen you have a extra part that I don't have.
Why do you have to take off the thermal plate if you are just going to remove the outer glass? I ask because I can only get a couple of the tri-wing screws out of the thermal plate holders. The other four won't budge.
i think hes refering to the white piece, you always have to reuse the plate. Ive found from experience the screw drives you get in kits are cheap, and strip. in this case, its teh high quality screws stripping the drivers LOL.
@@floridaapplemacprosinc.2224 At approximately 4:28 he starts unscrewing the 6 screws which attach the metal plate behind the lcd. At approximately 4:50 he unscrews the last of the screws and then jumps ahead without showing his removal of the metal plate which I am calling a thermal plate. I am wondering what is the point of removing that metal plate if you are only going to flip it over and work on removing just the outer glass?
@@OutThere21 the plate has to go back on after you put back the camera and home button. you always transfer the plate if you were getting another glass. I never do this. I have a shop, and im not saving that much money by saving 6 dollars a phone to have to do all this extra work.
I tried the wire method on an iphone 8+. Got about 90% thru it and the wire cut thru the polerizing layer on the digitizer. Basically this ruined the screen. Trashed it and ordered an new replacement screen. I kept the glass warm with heat gun, but not too hot. Not sure where I went wrong.
I’ve got a 7plus, I’ll buy a kit from you. Just so I have it for future, and if you wanna do a 7 plus tutorial with my phone? I just need a glass replacement. My lcd is fine
tristan2reveur well, if you're doing machinery method then you can remove the film. This is Loca, Oca and Loca are different! Loca is a liquid where OCA is a film. Polarizer is removed to make the process simpler as the glass came with the polarizer. If you're doing this method DO NOT REMOVE THE FILM!!! You will damage it. Good luck
Yes as long as you are using all the same parts you took off the screen for that phone you are doing this to the only thing being changed is the glass so you shouldn’t have any kind of problems with Touch ID unless you damaged the flex cables during the procedure
Omg I bought a kit from eBay months ago and just came across this video trying to get some guidance. still haven’t changed the glass because I’m scared to. I keep hearing that its extremely fragile like a potato chip or like an egg shell so it scares me. But I’ve dropped my phone since and glad that I haven’t yet because I Did get some new cracks I would otherwise have on my new screen. At this point I think I’m going to just take it in and have a pro fix it.
How is the quality of the new lcd’s? I bought one to fix my phone, and now my screen seems dimmer. Or like it has a blue hue to it. I dont think I damaged anything so I was wondering if your parts had better quality??
Hello. I'm having a hard time changing my screen n I don't want to proceed because I'm afraid of destroying the device so are you still up for receiving iPhones through the mail?
Hey this is a great video, you got me most of the way there, but I just realized that my replacement kit only has the iPhone glass and no bezel frame. Do you have any recommendations on where to get bezel frames without the glass? Thanks!
I seriously messed my diy iPhone 7 Plus. First, the tools sent from digital supply couldn't remove all of the tiny screws. Then, I learned that I needed more than just the front glass screen. Oh, I want to cry. Would you be willing help me out? Please?
Ha! First i bought the wrong size (7plus) for replacement then now i end up buying 7 but with no tools! Watching this i feel like i better just stick to the brokenness..😩
No, unlike on some Android phones, since the area under the glass is the only place to slide the metal wire and is inaccessible from the outside. iPhones are pretty easy to open up compared to other phones, since the screens are clipped in and are additionally held in with some stretchy black adhesive. On the iPhone X, XR, XS, and XS Max, it's probably possible to remove just the glass without removing the frame, but the Face ID units would also need to be separated from the screen since they are sensitive to heat.

Hi, can I do this only with original screens or also copie screens
To heat the screen up can I use a regular hair dryer ?
Yeah
No
Buy a heat gun on amazon for $12
Yeah
Household flat iron will do better since it heated the entire screen evenly.. Just do it with precaution.. Did it myself successfully.

What if the kit I bought didn't come with that uv glue? Do I have to get it or can I use the glue it came with. Actually looks like tape
Will the screen look as good?
Because I see some of these knockoff screens and they look really bad.

if you do make sure that they do just the glass part before hand. Many of them just swap in a new cheap aftermarket lcd kit instead
