Why not just use the adhesive remover first instead of using a hot blade as soon as I saw I thought not good turns out I was right the two scratches of considerable size on the lcd but still nice job

i left my battery connected and sim card in. kinda hard to disconnect the battery on this one, not that kind of party. without further adu: THIS IS A GREAT VIDEO! i did NOT replace the digitizer, but had ordered an entire OEM used screen i own precision screw drivers, my screen included the generic set, this worked for me on some screws but not for others. the guitar pic thing wore down, i used a fresh razor blade around the case, broke the tip and kept going just fine. i have an iphone 6s plus do yourself a favor and tighten up your headphone jack while youre in there.

You could risk damaging the components. You should always power the phone off and disconnect the battery. It doesn't take that many more steps.
