Ich dachte zu den "armed forces" zählen nur die militärischen Streitkräfte eines Landes?! Gehört da bei uns die Bundespolizei auch dazu?

Das haben Sie völlig richtig erkannt. Natürlich sind die Bundeswehr und Bundespolizei nicht ein und dasselbe. Aus Platzgründen habe ich nur German Armed Forces als Titel benutzt, da er sonst zu lange werden würde. Schließlich geht es fast ausschließlich um die Bundeswehr. In der Beschreibung, im Vorschaubild des Videos (Thumbnail) und im Video bei "Directors of Photography" ist die Bundespolizei jedoch angegeben.

Seit 1994 nicht mehr. Bis 1994 waren Mitglieder des Bundesgrenzschutz (Vorgänger der Bundespolizei) durchaus als Kombattanten geregelt und könnten somit zu den "Armed Forces" dazu gezählt werden.

Viele Bundespolizisten waren damals auch Soldaten bei Spiezialeinheiten und Tranieren teilweise auch mit ihnen weil sie auch in Auslandseinsätze gehen .Habe ich mal gehört zu haben .Wenn ich da falsch liege tut es mir leid und berichtigt mich bitte.

Zum Glück war es keine Trump spezifische Forderung aber gut das die Orange es nochmal thematisierte, jetzt kann man gegenüber Biden nicht mehr ausweichen. Dennoch traurig, dass Druck von außen nötig ist um den Männern und Frauen, die für uns einstehen, eine vernünftige Basis zu schaffen. Wäre mMn auch nicht verkehrt die Bundeswehr wieder auf 300 - 500 000 aufzustocken. Man muss ja jetzt nicht auf Ami Niveau bzgl Quantität aber wenn man überall mitmischen will muss auch ne vernünftige Fluktuation der Kontingente geschaffen werden. Die europäische Armee werden wir wohl eher weniger erleben.

The intimidation factor of the German Armed Forces is nil. How does the German military determine its readiness and effectiveness these days? The number of diversity training classes conducted? The number of new daycare centers? The increase in percentage of non-combat personnel?

That's the point, Germany has built an army to defend itself, not go out and attack another country. They are trying to establish peace throughout the world but with countries such as North Korea and USA it's gonna be really tough.

@@robinwillmann6693 I can understand the reluctance of the Germans to have a credible defense force given the criminal actions of its armed forces during World War II. To be responsible for the deaths of tens of millions of people will hang on to the German conscience for generations to come. It is hard to believe that so few Germans were willing to actively resist Hitler and the Nazis. Hey I understand where you are coming from . . .

If you haven't already watched it, I recommend the RT video on Saint Petersburg commemorating the 75th anniversary of the Siege of Leningrad. Joe Haupt as a german, it's really difficult to talk about history without talking about World War 2. I admit, germans have f***ed up numerous times through some pr*cks who governed us but I also can't stand the fact that germans are so negative.
