The first was the Balkan Kreuz used by the German order in middelage... Or some nlknow it better as teutonic order.
Just because something can be associated with National Socialism doesn’t mean it has to. There are so many things that have been forbidden by the Allies even though many of these things existed way before National Socialism was even a thing. Glad that they were allowed to keep the Iron Cross.

Before Hitler became the Führer, we didn't even have a real army. It was only really formed when he became the Führer and that in a few weeks. For example, young people were trained to become soldiers quickly
and many at least I am not afraid of death if someone makes me angry or threatens my people he has to die and I wouldn't even flinch ///

My grandparents who fought in the Finnish wars (The Winter war and the Continuation war) against the Soviet Union, they called Germans as brothers-in-arms. Germans were important in our civil war too: "The Finnish Whites"+Germans (the winners) vs. "The Finnish Reds"+Soviets.

I am an Italian, I have a lot of respect for the German armed forces, and for the German people in general and for Germany in general.
Of course we all know the story, we cannot change that, even my city in the past was occupied and bombed by the Germans (and also by the allies), and I myself am part of a minority that was exterminated by the Nazis.
But this is the past, let's all remember not to repeat the horrors of the past, and let's think about the future, I'm happy that our countries are allies.

Solange unsere Politiker nicht voll und ganz hinter der Bundeswehr stehen wird sie bei uns in Deutschland nie die Akzeptanz und vor allen den Respekt für ihren Einsatz bekommen der ihr zusteht. Anfang der 1980er gab es ein Gerichtsurteil das es erlaubte, alle Soldaten als Mörder zu bezeichnen. Wir mussten uns in Zügen auf der Heimfahrt während der Ostermarschzeit beschimpfen lassen, ohne das irgendwer auch nur das geringste unternommen hat. Wir wurden ins Kosovo geschickt vereidigt das wir niemandem von unseren Erlebnissen erzählen, bis der ich glaube es war ein Reporter vom Stern erschossen wurde. Dann musste man zugeben das wir in einen Kriegseinsatz geschickt wurden. Aber es freut mich das man wenigstens in anderen Ländern die Leistung der Bw zu schätzen weiß.

Es sind nur gestellte Manöverbilder, die sagen nichts über tatsächliche Kampf-und Feuerkraft der Truppen, deren Entschlossenheit und deren absoluten Willen zur Aufopferung für sein Land und den Siegeswillen aus, derartige Filmchen sollten wir uns nochmal ansehen wenn der verhasste Feind entgegen allen Erwartungen zurück schießt, dann wird sich die Spreu vom Weizen trennen. Die Bundeswehr ist schwach, sie ist unfähig Deutschland zu verteidigen nicht nur weil sie schon die zweite (also mindestens) Generation von Weicheiern herangezogen hat, sondern weil auch noch zu allem Übel zwei inkompetente Frauen nacheinander als Chef hat die nichts weiter zu tun haben als die Streitkräfte kaputtzusparen und lieber Bundeswehr-Kindertagesstätten und Schwangerenuniformen wichtig finden. Jetzt fehlt nur noch der Kindersitz im Eurofighter und im Leopard2. Die Luuschentruppe kann sich bei den Weibern von der Leyden und Kramf-Kanarrenbauer bedanken.

there is a difrence with nazi's and soldiers. soldiers just follow orders.
nazi's ( SS ) was the trouble kid's naughty sqaud to say it sofltly....... altho most of those were not actualy bad pepolle either and more than not foreiners as they could not join the german armed fources directly and got in trough the SS branch. so it's a bit of a grey area that's best untoched.

Good comments, I enjoyed living and working in Germany. My first time was I was Nuremberg 1977.then 5 more years to 1995.All great memories and with wonderful people. I was treated like family. And had many a Hoochmagandy with The Bundeswehr. Great times..

Respect from the US. Germany's power right now may be small but they are nothing to be dismissive of and have proved their worth throughout history, proud to be half German.
It's true. Our military is rather small in comparison. But at least we also have some things we are undisputable the best in. Best trained EOD, state-of-the-art field hospitals, excellent tank crews, etc.
Our strength could be rebuild in less than 10 years. The Problem is the mentality of the German people.
@@nationalpropagandist I have a lot of hope and faith in the German people in changing their mindset and wanting the military power to increase in size plus power, even in small numbers the Germans seem to have just as much power if not more in my opinion as any other EU Nation but it could be better, also being half German I could be a little biased towards Deutschland. I love my Nation the US and the large military power we have is a plus and every country with a large military boost love of ones Nation for a majority of the people. Examples are the US, Russia, China, North Korea, and India, these are the biggest examples as of now.

I have two technical education and some experience of work in the military factories. I have long been interested in military equipment - this is my hobby. I have read a lot the opinions of qualified military personnel from the United States and Russia who are recognized experts. Based on all my experience and knowledge, I can say that the beliefs that German tanks have always been the best and still the best belong to the category of religious sectarian beliefs. I respect Germany as a country, the Germans as a nation, German engineering, but alas tanks like Leopard 1 are a shame. Leopard 2 only from А6 version began to represent something more or less similar to a normal tank. The combat debut of the Leopard 2 tank is one of the most shameful in history, the Turks suffered unthinkable losses from old Soviet ATGMs in Al Bab and Afrin. Such serious nation like Germany will very easily find many real reasons for pride, but some Germans stubbornly want Germany to be the best in tanks.
