I have a huge respect for Germany. They hold my favorite martial history in their books. They fended off Rome and proved that the empire could be defeated in a devastating way. They were the fathers of the Franks and Saxons two powerful people groups. They created the Holy Roman Empire by joining the different German states together under one Emperor. The Prussian Empire was one of the greatest and mightiest European powers at that time (except maybe Great Britain). They unified and were very powerful during WWI and WWII. Not only this but they build magnificent things. Great old cities filled with culture and history. Germany is the home to so many great thinkers and inventors. The US is thought to be a great nation for its inventions but Germany was where those inventors were born. Sadly the German nation has lost much of its glory because of the Nazi party. I was stationed in Germany with the US Army in the mid to late '80s in Baumholder, Rheinland. I trained and worked with the German military often and enjoyed my time there. Germany will always be my 2nd country. I was with the 8th Infantry Division in the Field Artillery from 1985-1989. I will always support Germany, even though I am American.

I'm an American from Santa Fe, New Mexico, and while serving my country a couple of years back, in the US Air Force base of Alamogordo, I made a lot of friends among the Luftwaffe pilots and crews that are stationed there with their families. Great guys, tremendously proffesionals flying their German-made Tornado fighter-bombers.I have to say this : we all in the USAF are more than happy to have them (at last !) on our side if a war should ever break out, God forbid it. They sure make fantastic allies to rely on.

Aber das hast du auch angesprochen, dass wir vernünftige Schiffe etc. brauchen und auch (wenn überhaupt) einen Flugzeugträger. Doch wenn wir einen Flugzeugträger bauen, dann wird es ziemlich viel Protest von Frankreich und GB geben, da diese Länder "auch nur" einen haben. Unsere Bundeswehr ist aber nicht wirklich mehr eine Verteidigungs-Armee, denn: Unsere Bundeswehr macht viel zu wenig Schussübungen um gut zielen zu können. Um die Ausbildung zu bestehen, werden pro Person ggf. zwei Magazine verbraucht und dann geht es zur Prüfung. In der Prüfung haben die alle Zeit der Welt um zu Zielen und das War es dann auch schon wieder. Sonst machen sie ein Training mit Platzpatronen. Laut der Bundeswehr ist es so, dass wer üben möchte einen Schießverein besuchen müssen. Weil das der Fall ist bieten manche Schießvereine Rabatt für Polizisten und das Militär an.

Klar jetzt kann man sagen, dass diese auch in den Krieg ziehen müssen, doch ich meine die höher gestellten. Diese, die weit hinten im Krieg sind. Man steckt in dieser "Verteidigungstruppe" viel zu viel Geld in unnötiges. Ich wollte damit auch deine These aufgreifen, dass man das Geld in bestehendes pumpt und um das bestehende zu erhalten (die Soldaten), damit diese bestmögliche vorbereitet sind auf alles, finde ich, dass Schießübungen das grundlegende Fundament für alles sind. Das man von einem Torpedo eines Zerstörers nicht getroffen werden will (bsp) das ist auch klar. Ich muss dir leider in dem Punkt wiedersprechen, dass der größte Teil der Bevölkerung eher denkt, das die Bundeswehr überbudgetiert sind. Das ist es gerade. Viele Leute leben in ihrer eigenen Welt. Wir sollten es doch schon mit den Attentaten wissen, dass es nicht der Fall ist oder mit anderen. Fast jeden Tag wird doch in den Nachrichten berichtet, dass der Weltfrieden nicht gegeben ist. Wäre alles gut in der Welt, dann hätten wir bsp. keine so hohe Anzahl an flüchtigen (sry für das heikle Thema was ich als bsp. nutze) -Großmachtdenke: Klar wir haben aus der Geschichte gelernt, doch GB stellt sich doch auf ein extra Podest. Früher hatten diese ja viele Kolonien, was du bestimmt weißt, und es ist weiterhin so, dass die denken über diese Länder, die sie früher erobert haben, weiterhin zu regieren. Siehe auch EU Austritt. Der größte Teil der Bevölkerung (der jüngeren Leute) wollten das nicht. Oder mit ihren Königen etc. Sie sehen sich immer noch als Großmacht und wollen als "Alliierten" nicht das DE das wieder macht, da sie immer noch ein Teil von den die denke betreibt, dass wir Nationalsozialistisch sind. Siehe (ein etwas schlechteres bsp.) die Türkei. Sie hat es doch so oft erwähnt was wir sein sollen. Zudem: Wenn wir aufrüsten, wären wir die zweit stärkste Macht in der NATO. My grandmother is from Frankfurt born 1940. Her dad was a captain for the Kaisers best fought the Americans In the Argonne but before that he was fighting the French. After the war he became a engineer on the rail roads still getting paid by the military to do so. Two of oma brothers fought in ww2 one was a ace fighter pilot I don't know much about him other than that. But her other brother was a infantry officer who fought Russia but he took a bullet to the shoulder but recovered then was sent to France in 42 I don't know much about him after then. I was stationed in Germany with the US Army in the mid to late '80s in Baumholder, Rheinland. I trained and worked with the German military often and enjoyed my time there. Germany will always be my 2nd country. I was with the 8th Infantry Division in the Field Artillery from 1985-1989. I will always support Germany, even though I am American.

I'm an American from Santa Fe, New Mexico, and while serving my country a couple of years back, in the US Air Force base of Alamogordo, I made a lot of friends among the Luftwaffe pilots and crews that are stationed there with their families. Great guys, tremendously proffesionals flying their German-made Tornado fighter-bombers.I have to say this : we all in the USAF are more than happy to have them (at last !) on our side if a war should ever break out, God forbid it. They sure make fantastic allies to rely on.

Für alle die den Video-Titel nicht verstehen, es heißt "schlafender Riese" und nicht "Streitmacht die bereit ist alles nieder zu mähen". Das die aktuelle Situation bei der Bundeswehr nicht perfekt ist, ist wohl jedem klar. Aber es wird daran gearbeitet, wenn vllt auch in kleinen Schritten. Der Titel bezieht sich auf das Potential des deutschen Militärs im allgemeinen und das schläft halt aktuell ein wenig ;)
Also ein großer Schritt kommt in den nächsten 10-15 Jahren. In der Zeit soll Deutschland einen Zuschuss von 150.000.000.000 € bekommen. Dann würd der Riese sehr wahrscheinlich wieder Aufwachen ;)

Aber das hast du auch angesprochen, dass wir vernünftige Schiffe etc. brauchen und auch (wenn überhaupt) einen Flugzeugträger. Doch wenn wir einen Flugzeugträger bauen, dann wird es ziemlich viel Protest von Frankreich und GB geben, da diese Länder "auch nur" einen haben.
Unsere Bundeswehr ist aber nicht wirklich mehr eine Verteidigungs-Armee, denn:
Unsere Bundeswehr macht viel zu wenig Schussübungen um gut zielen zu können. Um die Ausbildung zu bestehen, werden pro Person ggf. zwei Magazine verbraucht und dann geht es zur Prüfung. In der Prüfung haben die alle Zeit der Welt um zu Zielen und das War es dann auch schon wieder. Sonst machen sie ein Training mit Platzpatronen.
Laut der Bundeswehr ist es so, dass wer üben möchte einen Schießverein besuchen müssen. Weil das der Fall ist bieten manche Schießvereine Rabatt für Polizisten und das Militär an.
Michael Riechers Ich will damit ausdrücken, dass unsere Bundeswehr eher einem "selbstbedienungs-Laden" ähneln. So viel wie diese verdienen. Klar jetzt kann man sagen, dass diese auch in den Krieg ziehen müssen, doch ich meine die höher gestellten. Diese, die weit hinten im Krieg sind. Man steckt in dieser "Verteidigungstruppe" viel zu viel Geld in unnötiges. Ich wollte damit auch deine These aufgreifen, dass man das Geld in bestehendes pumpt und um das bestehende zu erhalten (die Soldaten), damit diese bestmögliche vorbereitet sind auf alles, finde ich, dass Schießübungen das grundlegende Fundament für alles sind.
Das man von einem Torpedo eines Zerstörers nicht getroffen werden will (bsp) das ist auch klar.
Ich muss dir leider in dem Punkt wiedersprechen, dass der größte Teil der Bevölkerung eher denkt, das die Bundeswehr überbudgetiert sind.
Das ist es gerade. Viele Leute leben in ihrer eigenen Welt. Wir sollten es doch schon mit den Attentaten wissen, dass es nicht der Fall ist oder mit anderen. Fast jeden Tag wird doch in den Nachrichten berichtet, dass der Weltfrieden nicht gegeben ist. Wäre alles gut in der Welt, dann hätten wir bsp. keine so hohe Anzahl an flüchtigen (sry für das heikle Thema was ich als bsp. nutze)
-Großmachtdenke: Klar wir haben aus der Geschichte gelernt, doch GB stellt sich doch auf ein extra Podest. Früher hatten diese ja viele Kolonien, was du bestimmt weißt, und es ist weiterhin so, dass die denken über diese Länder, die sie früher erobert haben, weiterhin zu regieren. Siehe auch EU Austritt. Der größte Teil der Bevölkerung (der jüngeren Leute) wollten das nicht. Oder mit ihren Königen etc. Sie sehen sich immer noch als Großmacht und wollen als "Alliierten" nicht das DE das wieder macht, da sie immer noch ein Teil von den die denke betreibt, dass wir Nationalsozialistisch sind. Siehe (ein etwas schlechteres bsp.) die Türkei. Sie hat es doch so oft erwähnt was wir sein sollen.
Zudem: Wenn wir aufrüsten, wären wir die zweit stärkste Macht in der NATO. Bei der Brittischen denke löst das kein Jubel aus.

My grandmother is from Frankfurt born 1940. Her dad was a captain for the Kaisers best fought the Americans In the Argonne but before that he was fighting the French. After the war he became a engineer on the rail roads still getting paid by the military to do so. Two of oma brothers fought in ww2 one was a ace fighter pilot I don't know much about him other than that. But her other brother was a infantry officer who fought Russia but he took a bullet to the shoulder but recovered then was sent to France in 42 I don't know much about him after then. High respect for my family who survived Germany 🇩🇪.

To be honest the pure Germanic people are great warriors and have proven this throughout history from the germanic people crippling the Roman Empire to the 3rd Reich..they show enormous military strength with just a few number to a mass of millions through discipline and will....and they never give up from the cold city of stalingrad to the burning capital of Berlin

No, they are both germanic, but germans are Germans, they are not part of the Nordic countries. Austrians and Switzerland and Lichtenstein are probably most close to them.But Germans are vera diffrent, somone form Bavaria is probably more simular to someone form Austria than someone form Hamburg. Is more líke a union than a nation .

I believe every nation has the right to be proud of their nation whether they have a bad history or not. Germany you should be proud, you're country achieved a lot to be proud of. Despite the wars still be proud, even be proud of you're men who died fighting in both world wars most died valiantly. I say most because I don't want to count the SS.
