Gratz on your dream car im still saving for my dream subaru or evo but with kids is going to take me more time but this videos inspire me to dont give up
Don't give up! I plan on having kids too and both subie and evo were my option as they offer AWD, 4 door, turbo and manual! Can still have fun getting groceries!
Since you'll be swapping the gauge bulbs, you could swap the radio and the gauge pod locations and the gauges will actually be readable! And you could also switch the boost gauge to the left most position as well so you can read it while driving as well. Glad to see that there's some really clean Evos still out there in the wild!
Good job on the LEDs. the Climate control ones are even easier only two bulbs. They are t5 but make sure you get the color you want. There is no filter in the bezel to make them amber or red.
Hey mate, so its a 8 gsr with stock turbo, Dump pipe with exhaust, 268 cams, intake, 1000cc, dw300 fuel pump, Running straight e85 it ended up making 240kw at the wheels on 24psi
This is what i do: oem oil for TC pumped from the bottom, driven, then repumped, oem oil for gearbox and diff, after purchase all this within a day, 10w 40 high zinc oil for engine, for built motor 15w 50, I use Penrite racing, high temp brake fluid, I use Penrite racing, get tune checked urgent after purchase, check compression too and note. You have white line SBs good, check brake pads replace as required, I copper ease the back of mine, check under battery for spills, track days can push out acid, check all ball joints, replace with oem, future stuff learn how to tune or tuner but learn anyway, flex tune, LIC, injectors, walbro, cams, springs, around 350 on mustang, then turbo, dump, mani, 400+ on mustang, watch the torque on 6 speed. All pending budget and goals
Wow thanks for the tip! I'm still learning about this car and loving it every minute of it! The Evo community is great and nothing but helpful! Appreciate it!
Planning to get one very soon hopefully I can find one here in northern cali if not I might have to drive like you did but it will definitely be worth it as I will be keeping it forever!!! Lol
DO not own an EVO so maybe my opinion means jack shit, but if I were U ......U outta get OEM MITSUBISHI oil filters U can usually get a great deal for 4 or 5 in a package from car dealers or on amazon they not that expensive n they OEM as rec' from the manuals. ALSO for OEM mitsu manual fluids n transfer case, rear diff etc rec EXTREME PSI they offer competive prices. Cherry Hill in New Jersey is a great car dealer too they have ebay page or U can go to their website. Sure U know this but in case U do not there also OEM MITSU coolant as well. CHEERZ! p.s. U DID THE RIGHT DECISION BY BUYING THIS JAPANESE LEGEND.
Thanks for your support! I bought OEM mitsubishi trans oil, tcase oil, diff oil, and coolant. I was a bit of a rush to get the oil change done so I didn't have time to get OEM filters. But thanks for the tip! I will surely buy them in bulk for next time!

Hi, I'm a newbie of driving, but I really like the Evo 9 and I don't have another car. I wanna let Evo 9 become my first car. Do you think it's worth it for me to buy an Evo 9 for regular driving?
Yes it is! I'm using mine for daily driving. Make sure to buy a stock Evo 9 or with just simple bolt ons. Don't buy someone's fully built car because it's not as reliable anymore.
@@ikigaidriven Thank you very much for your reply! I will not going to buy a fully built Evo 9 haha. I would also like to ask what website I should go to if I want to buy the stock Evo 9. Is a normally used car search website ok? Thank you very much!
@@shengyukai1724 I used all the search engine sites possible but I use facebook marketplace. Most people selling their cars aren't listed on car selling sites so that's where I would begin. I also joined a lot of Evo facebook groups that are selling their Evos. I tried to find a seller that was local to me but it was limiting my options. For an Evo, it's definitely good to keep waiting for a good one that pops up and even if you have to fly out and drive it back, it's definitely worth it! I wish you the best of luck finding one! It's a great car to own! So don't rush on it and just keep looking.

Really clean evo. Congrats on picking it up Mann. We should try to gather up our evos sometime since I’m in the Philly area as well.
Thanks! Yeah we should. I don't know any Evo meets in Philly. Which part of Philly you from?

Come on David, easy on that door!

Hahaha true, until I saw the lift had rubbers
Haha I knew people might be commenting on that but the lift has bumper stops. But he didn't even hit that
Awesome. Didn’t know you were near Philly. I’m like an hour away and just brought a evo 8 about 5 months ago.
