Really great to see another video. I'm betting it was too windy downtown to send the drone up. Regardless, it appears all three of the recent major projects: the Couture, the 333, and the Baird Convention Center expansion are wrapping things up around the same time. Their progress was great to follow these last couple of years. Thank you. Not surprisingly, Northwestern Mutual has moved quickly with the start of their North Tower's renovation. Beyond that, of the more than half-dozen high-rises planned over the last 3-7 years, only the Edison seems to have any real life left in it. The Neutral Project website still maintains they'll begin construction on the Edison in the second quarter of '24. No equipment on site as of yet. Finally, wouldn't it be great if another skyscraper would go up? Tallest in the city. I can dream, can't I?
Hey Long time no see 😀 Also that last building I find impressive how fast they're near completion on that building. Finally! I-794 needs to go like yesterday. What's going on with that update for that study? I was reading there's rumors it's going to be pushed back.
@@quenmarice545 I am very concerned with the lack of public awareness. They are doing a poor job, i actively look and participate and it’s hard for me too.
@MilwaukeeCentralParkProject I understand. That's why this upcoming public meeting update. Folks need to show up and show out. I'm very surprised the mayor and the county executive didn't discuss this in their State of the State address. This is one of many reasons why our city is always behind when it comes to the Midwest. 🤦🙎 You have a good day 👌
Anyone else not a fan of the Northwestern Mutual Tower Renovation? I find mimicking the main tower with a baby version takes away from the aesthetics and place held from the main tower. The main tower has a curved design on its east face and a square box design on its west face. The smaller tower would do much better being designed to mimic the main towers curved design on its west face and mimic the main towers square box design on its east face. Thus having the buildings stand out aesthetically and hold their own place. Seeing the Northwestern Mutual lettering repeated again comes across to me as strip mall gaudy. I'm actually bummed about this baby main tower detracting from the weight and place held had the main tower been left to shine on its own...
I tend to agree with your assessment, I hope that in the future it will be the right decision. Highlighting their campus on the skyline rather than making up half of it… if that makes sense?
@@MilwaukeeCentralParkProject Yep, that makes sense. That thought reminds me of the Chrysler building complex (now the Renaissance Center) in Detroit. It screamed when first built, "Chrysler built this town! Look at me, look at me!". The Renaissance Center also uses buildings that mimic each other and multiple buildings that match each other exactly. I find it be gaudy, unappealing and overbearing.
@@DarrenAlchemy I agree after visiting Detroit I thought it was out of place however theirs is much more over done and loud than this. So I don’t hate it. I’ll take glass blue towers over pitch black ones any day.
I-794 is a joke, if the state or federal govt doesn’t interfere, the dream should come to fruition. It feels that the only ones against the removal are the beneficiaries, ie Cudahy, St Francis, & South Milwaukee residents. It really serves a minimal population base, I-94 is just way more practical/ efficient for commuters from Oak Creek, Racine, etc.

Thank you very much. I hope we have a new tallest soon.
Thank you! Looking good Chillwaukee!!! Add LED lights on 794.
Nah we should just take it down!
Agreed, but in the interim. Birmingham, AL did this to their freeway and it looks great.@@MilwaukeeCentralParkProject
Please keep doing updates on the Northwestern Mutual tower! So cool to see more construction there. Great video as usual
Copy that!
Nice job!!
Thank you!

Good to see you too! I heard it was pushed back to fall

Any idea on when the intersection at Michigan and Lincoln memorial is going to be rebuilt?
Unfortunately no
@@MilwaukeeCentralParkProjectit’s such an eyesore, hopefully soon!
Ok, 794 should be replaced with a tunnel.
