The reason why Harry can run so fast in the PS1 version is because his movement speed is tied to the framerate. The old PS1 consoles had a lower framerate, so Harry ran normally then. But now, using emulators and today's computers, framerates have been boosted for games that were never made for them, thus the death of physics.
Imagine that, some companies are still coding the games same way, without frame limited or frameskip, making games either too fast or too slow unless you have the exact specs (and even then it varies based on a scene) or limit framerate artificially.

Yeah gameplay wise I figured. I don't handle bad graphics well. Minecraft gives me nightmares. And when I tried playing old styled 3d pixelated type game it made me physically sick. And I actually wanted to play both.

Bottom line, this game looks real bad.

PC CoS is one of my favorite HP games. I played it dozens of times. I still have it and occasionally still play it from time to time. I know EVERYTHING about that game. I know where all the secrets all, where every wizard card is, etc. That game is unforgettable.
I beg you Kevin, please finish the PC versions of HP1 and 2, because they are beautiful. Featuring the ever intimidating graphics of the early 2000's, an even worse stealth section in HP1, and the polyjuice potion one more time 😂 seriously some of those voice lines they have "Goyle" do are beautiful

I played the PC version growing up. It was amazing to me. I played the console version a bit later and I personally didn't like it. My vote is that the PC version is much better.
I played all versions of this game. PC version Xbox/Gamecube/PS2 (all these are the same version, just different consoles) PS1 GBA GBC And in my opinion, the PC version and the Xbox/GC/PS2 version are the best.
I feel your pain Kevin about the PS1 memory card. I had Spyro 3: Year of the dragon for PS1 and played it on my PS2, the problem was that I didn’t have a PS1 memory card so I couldn’t save my game. It still annoys me to this day that I never beat that game because of that stupid feature.
I remember those gnomes used to absolutely terrify me when I played this as a kid! It didn't help that they would often jumpscare me by appearing from behind a hidden spot when I wasn't looking.

@@2hufranku875 this one and the chamber of secrets are still the best Harry Potter video games of all time. Azkaban was turned into a rushed movie game that sucked and the series was never the same. The lego HP is fun if you don’t care about voice acting but I do.

The PS1 game is fucking awesome. It seems like it doesn't work that well on an emulator. The actual game on PS1 runs perfectly though.
I agree I used to play the PS1 game all the time as a lid, and I loved it, this was like it said in the title "broken", but the original game is great, I also enjoyed the PS2 one but I prefered the PS1 and after this I played the PS2 Chamber of Secrets which was also a great game!

I played the PC version growing up. It was amazing to me. I played the console version a bit later and I personally didn't like it. My vote is that the PC version is much better.

I feel your pain Kevin about the PS1 memory card. I had Spyro 3: Year of the dragon for PS1 and played it on my PS2, the problem was that I didn’t have a PS1 memory card so I couldn’t save my game. It still annoys me to this day that I never beat that game because of that stupid feature.

I remember those gnomes used to absolutely terrify me when I played this as a kid!
It didn't help that they would often jumpscare me by appearing from behind a hidden spot when I wasn't looking.
My cousin used to have this game. She wasn't really a Harry Potter fan but I was and would spend hours watching her playing and begging her to let me have a go. She never let me play so I watch these with a sense of having missed out. I remember playing the quiditch bits.
