    I've driven both, and the rogue sport was better. Not sure why they've been whining so much. It's like these reviewers expect a cheaper vehicle to drive and feel like a luxury vehicle.

    The review was OK but you're both kind of whiney, like the CVT. It was informative but there were too many pseudo-dramatic quips and vocalizations. It's like you were trying to be funny or clever in a 10 year old kind of way.
    Maybe it'll smooth out over time.

      Lots of whiney. More than the CVT. Full throttle application and they complain that it doesn't have the thrust of an AMG. Driver's car? Come on.

    Hi guy, I just drive from miami FL to hackensack NJ two days driving approximately 1,300 miles. Driving a rogue sport 2017 AWD pulling a uhaul box trailer and the car surprise me it has a lot of power and I made it driving up to 80 mph some times. If you want power and torque get the rogue sport and if you want fuel economy get the honda.

    I dont understand the Honda lane watch diss, YOU DO NOT NEED TO SHOULDER CHECK WITH LANE WATCH. seriously.. so you claim it adds an extra step but it actually replaces a less safe procedure with one requiring a fraction of the body movement and can be done quicker. Where as blind spot monitors can miss things the actual camera will not miss things.

      NO I don't want a damn turbo. Just something else to go wrong and shorten the life of an engine. Wish goddamn people would educate yourself on turbos. Maybe we would not have so many of the damn things on vehicles these days.

    When you say the Rogue Sport beats the HRV for interior volume, I think you're just reading off the spec sheet. Take each of these vehicles to Costco or Ikea and fill them up and then tell me the Rogue Sport is bigger. Nothing beats the HRV (or Fit). It is just a big square box and can practically handle more than anything else in its class and is a better hauler than vehicles a class or 2 above it.

    The HR-V's Lanewatch is a great idea and well executed. You guys complain about having to take your eyes off the road for the infotainment system but don't have a problem doing a 110 degree head turnaround to look for things in the blindspot. Also, If Honda and Nissan are making oodles of money selling the HR-V and the Rogue Sport than it's probably a good thing they don't base their marketing decisions based on one review duo's opinions.

  • @swanblake
    @swanblake 6 лет назад +2

    Happy you guys brougbt up how these take to get to 60mph. Expressway driving needs to be planned. Rogue Sport is quite poor of a driver while the HRV is great at drvivng. Both need way more powerful engine options like seen in the Kona. I'd go HRV for its looks, functionality magic seats, and fun driving characteristics

    • @cw4623
      @cw4623 Год назад

      "Rogue Sport is quite poor of a driver while the HRV is great at driving" --- You've clearly never driven them. The opposite is true. HRV is trash. Rogue Sport drives amazingly.

    Great revue thank for posting. I live in Australia here the Nissan Rogue Sport is call a Qashqai the Qashqai modals here come in the low end ST then go up to the high end ST+, ST-L, and the TI. I , have the entry-level ST. Though My wife and I both once had our own business. But now at 68 My wife and I are both retied and only have an income from our government pension. Ever second hand car I had ever bought has only last a few years. And there more trouble then what there worth. At our age we needed some thing reliable, that would last, And with what years we had left. We needed a new car. But we found out, that though we own our own home. The maximum we can borrow on a pension is $27000.00 But in to days market Most low end New cars even at the low end SUV, are around the $29000 mark. So we thought we never get a lone to buy a new SUV. So we thought a new SUV was out of the question, But Seeing Nissan bundaberg OLD Australia They had listed a four month old Nissan Qashqai 2019 demo, with only 3000 klm on the clock for $27000. in Australia A second hand car has three months warranty But A new Nissan even if it is a demo, still came with 7 years warranty But it from the time the car yard takes delivery. So as it a demo we still had new car warranty of 6 years and 8 months. All we needed was the low end St as all those extras like the GPS the better trim etc can cost you up to $ 7000.00 more. Even though our Nissan Qashqai is an at the low end ST level it still a great car . even though it dos not com with a GPS we just use our old Navman GPS. And the Naveman GPS is far better then the nissan tomtom GPS that come with he high end suvs .but even as a low end ST It is still a very impressive car to drive. The entertainment system in it is fantastic. Though our Nissan Qashqai is an ST We just love it.

    Hmm.. you didn't mention (missed) what trims you are referring/comparing to but Black Interiors do tend to be more boring, but you also missed an important fact, the 2019 Roque Sport offers Remote Start...2019 Honda HR-V does not have as an option, Yea I have a 2016 CR-V, I couldn't go back down to the HR-V, also Fit sits lower and less ground clearance than your HR-V

  • @jaekob2743
    @jaekob2743 6 лет назад +4

    I feel that the video was unfair. There is obviously another category forming between subcompact and compact which now includes the Rogue Sport and Jeep Compass. The HRV is not in that category and is less expensive than the Sport. Just not sure why you compared these two like they directly compete. Sure they might be cross shopped but not as often as maybe one thinks.

    • @howardkerr8174
      @howardkerr8174 6 лет назад

      I imagine these 2 were compared because until the Kicks arrives they are both the smallest crossovers from their respective manufacturers on the US market. And as often happens, they don't quite match up.
      Oddly, from my reading of foreign car magazines, the Nissan is considered to be a very formidable offering....the Honda? Not so much. In Great Britain the Nissan is pretty much the standard all other small crossover utilities are compared to and is a very big seller. That said, Europe does NOT get the bigger "regular" Rogue and they also don't get these awful CVTs.

    Let the guy talk a little. 😂 Just a little. He tries to make a point or interject a little and then boom sometimes she raises her voice to drown out his tempo. 😥 Its probably not intentional, she's just raising valid reasons but to be able to have a flowing conversation in the review, you have to build some kind of rapport. So practice more on how to let each other speak. Still informative tho. And I subscribed.😊

    this afternoon, i test drove the hrv at two different dealers. for $25k for the ex, i was totally unimpressed as a value proposition. there were lots of plastic. the backup camera is poor quality. the right turn lane camera feels like a gimmick. the ride was nice enough. but for the money these are selling for, i cannot possibly buy the hrv.

      Drove a rental Rogue recently. I was disappointed. I would grade almost everything as C or C-: infotainment, ride quality, driving dynamics, ease-of-use, refinement, lack of annoyances (why the hell does the radio come on every time you turn on the car, even if you previously turned it off???). Hondas, Hyundais and Kias are just way better in my opinion. Maybe the Rogue is cheapest in real-world pricing, but I hated it after only a few hours of driving it.

    What an ABYSMAL review. The myopic reviewers (who fancy themselves gear-heads/"enthusiasts") condemn the Qashqai/R.Sport for being too comfortable and easy to steer, having a great seating position, and not being colorful enough (seriously-- that's your gripe?). Because, I guess... people hate comfortable cars? (Idiots) You should be dislocating your arms steering it. And feel every bump. Because everyone likes "sporty", right? Completely clueless, these reviewers. Qashqai/R.Sport is hands-down the best CUV I've yet driven. Venue is just below that, with the Kona. Kicks is not nearly has smooth, comfy, well-built as the Q./R.Sport

    These guys are a joke. Because of these guys, this channel now looks like a joke to me.
    1. The Qashqai is considered a SUV in category. It will obviously be a higher seating position, anyone looking to buy an "SUV" Classified vehicle looks for a higher seating position... From a consumers point, why would you buy an "SUV" if you want a low seating position like in a sedan/coupe.
    2. Your driving must be as bad as your review if you can't even apply proper breaking technique in a vehicle.
    3. It took the gentleman a week to find the additional controls(ECO,AWD Lock, Steering Wheel Heater)? How is this man working as a car reviewer? He can't even locate additional buttons that is placed in a standard area, in every vehicle..
    4. The lady that mentioned a better position for said buttons doesn't realize that you would only need to use those buttons maybe 2-3 out of 9 months in a year, when weathers not ideal. During winter time, when it snows(if it snow) and only if your adaptive AWD isn't enough.
    5. The Qashqai does have an additional USB port in the center storage compartment. Know the vehicle you are reviewing.
    6. Match the interior accents with the exterior colors. Lol. not even going to touch that one.
    7. "Gear Selector Thing". I hope this is a hobby for you sir, if you don't even know what a tiptronic shifter is. Don't quit your day job, unless this is your day job.
    8. Please lady for future videos, APPLY LIPCHAP.
    I can't say much about the HRV, but from my experience with owning a Qashqai SL is that, It is a great vehicle for the price to value you are getting. With all the features offered, I expected to pay a much higher premium. I'll admit that the drive factor isn't fantastic, but it gets me to where I need to go with ease. Cheers!
