Used to drive a Pete COE exactly the same as yours, even same colour powered by 3406 and 15 speed. Boy this brings back many memories. Last Pete I had was. 1995 357 with an N 14 500 and 18 speed heavy haul, usually 140,000 through the Rocky Mountains.
@@fil1329 there was only one way to set them, some people have the touch, some don’t. I was fortunate, I was always able to get the max power with the factory specs. Once electronics came to be in 1989 the difference was a proper specified drive train and some drivers were just better at figuring out the best way to operate them. I worked with the Cummins engineers and listened closely to what they had to say about operating an engine. Once got caught in a snow/ice storm and climbing a hill pulled the engine down to 975 rpm, made the hill with a load of 140,000 gross, would never have done this on my own, after that I became a believer of the engineers. The N 14 was bullet proof but people always have to monkey with the driveline spec. Doesn’t usually work. Keep safe my friend.

Steve here is homemade hand sanitizer you can make. Extra virgin olive oil and equal amount of wintergreen Isopropyl rubbing alcohol. mix together and use. simple

Never really understood why people don’t appreciate our truckers, everything we have around us was brought by big rigs. Even though I don’t drive nationwide, when I’m in my personal I help em every chance I can, give em room! And definitely don’t pull out in front of one because they definitely don’t stop on a dime! Love the ole cab overs man! Can’t wait to find me one soon!!
Great video mate, I’m a driver from London, England and when we first went into lockdown we where all seen as heroes, we even had home made signs hanging from bridges saying things like, “thank you and god bless all truckers” few places had food and toilets open, the roads where lovely and empty (something my forefathers always wished for) But even though where still in lockdown, the traffic is nearly back to normal and we are back to being treated like third class citizens again 😉

After hauling trucks for miles, putting the chains between the duals is the best and only way to tie the rear of the truck or trailer down. Using the frame is not as if you lose air in the bags, you're chains are loose, otherwise good job. Drove at '96 362 Pete for 15 yrs. Loved every minute.
I always wanted to drive a 362 cabover pete. I ve sat in a few but have yet to drive one they are roomy inside and I like how they sit so high in the air and that side box on the" 110" model..hell you could stick a suitcase in there sideways
I watch you because you do everything right, I am a trained rigger Rigger (Hate that word) and I have only seen a couple of places where I might do things differently BUT in those cases, it was a style, not outcome.

Well damn you got me wanting to get a cabover, I don’t mean just to have I wanna run that thing down the highway as I do this new junk. Want it to BE my truck, I’m old school and live old school. So future project made now, think it’ll be ready by the time my kids are grown so I can go out and go Orr make the big money so I can make that cabover one sweet ride.

That looks like a Baker Hughes truck. Oilfied company in Texas. Going back they were Schulmber J and B.J. oil field before. All of Texas and rest of country. They were \ are a well production company. Fracking and well service. Really like the cabover Pete in your shop!!!
Old school dog and chains. They been outlawed here in Australia. Our roadworthy certification mob over here made ratchet dogs compulsory. Good to see some people are still using the old ones. The CAT sounds TUFF you done a good job bloke.

I love the Americans Cabover because I always saw them in the 70's or 80's movies and wanted to know more about it and why in the USA, the drivers and companies prefers other trucks instead cabover. They were a literal pain in the ass , but they did have their good points- easier to maneuver in tight places, and no hood to obstruct your view in heavy traffic. I kinda miss them.

Man, you sure have an amazing looking (and sounding) rig! I'd like to make a suggestion. I'd love it if you could do an ASMR driving this truck (no talking, no music, just that 3406 singing). Make sure the exhaust is extremely loud, I thought I heard there was a muffler on it when watching a previous video, sounded quieter. Make sure to include engine start, shifting, cruising, and jaking. Please make it as long as possible. Please let me know ASAP.
Rewatching your videos of the truck I seen on dying breed that you hit a deer in pa. That sucks! I live in Central pa now but I'm from Erie and canfield radiator was our go to they can fix about anything.
She was towed to Peterbilt in Youngstown and radiator repair will be done in Hubbard Ohio. Not sure if ill get a good enough video out of this but I will try. But next video will be a Dodge Ram V10...

At 8:35 tire rpm and camera fpm matched that tire treads looked like it wasn't turning while the rest of tire turned.

Ran one of these full windshield Pete's back in the early 80's, 352 model? It had an A model with a 13 speed

UK is the same, drivers are not allowed to use the store bathroom. So drivers have to travel miles out of their way to have a piss.
