  • I did the MURPH Workout against Masters Crossfit athlete Steve Bartlett. The Murph Challenge is one of the toughest WODs (workout of the day)MURPH is typically done every Memorial Day in memory of Navy Lt. Michael Murphy who died in Afghanistan on June 28, 2005.
    It was Murphy’s favourite workout that helps to push us, humble us, and dedicate a bit of pain and sweat to honour a man who gave everything he had.
    To complete it you have to do:
    - 1 mile run
    - 100 pull ups
    - 200 push ups
    - 300 air squats
    - 1 mile run

      Lol 😂 pull ups had me rolling. The number one reason and only reason I will NEVER do any form of CrossFit. The pussy Kipping pull ups they do and actually count 😂😂😂 no sir

    Murph is hard. I would prefer to see strict form in the exercises. Perhaps better doing strict form and no weight.

      Yeah to make it really tough you could do strict pull ups! I was wanting to try and get the best time RX so did butterfly pull ups.

    Tough but let's not call those pullups. When you use kipping you just get better at skipping.
    Biggest turn off of crossfit.

      I do strict pull ups as well. But when the workout includes 100 pull ups for time it’s the perfect time to incorporate butterfly pull ups a CrossFit movement!

      @@THEWODPOD Why? In what other contest are people allowed to do actions incorrectly? It would make a lot more sense to lower rep requirements and give a true contest of strength and endurance rather than just who's best at kipping.

      @@shawnsmith780 to be fair, he’s not doing pull ups, he’s doing kipping pull ups and he specified that. If he was doing kipping pull ups and said he was doing strict pull ups, then yes, he would be incorrect.
