If we can trade Spellements, Gold, Reagents, Housing Items, and Treasure Cards this update will have been a success. Guilds need new _functionality,_ they shouldn't just be glorified groups!
Agreed on the trading function! It'd also be nice to post help wanted requests within the guild. Ex., for reagents, spellements, pet hatching, quest help

Issue is if you can trade items like mounts or something wiz could lose money which is why I don’t think they’ll implement that unfortunately :/
Let's keep it a buck, the benefits from guilds are gonna be so lackluster. This guild idea is good but I just know they're gonna drop the ball.
At this point expecting the worst from KI is just pattern recognition 💀

To me, it's already a bad sign that one of the requirements is having 11 online friends which is such an arbitrary restriction. World of Warcraft has (still has?) a system where you just get signatures from other players to join and I thought THAT was restrictive. There should be no reason you can't start a guild with just a few players and expand if you want. Have a group of 4? Can't make a friends guild.
And the fact that they all gotta be at least level 30 is worrying too. Not only does it mean Guilds _aren't_ FTP, it neglects the low level duelists out there! Also, ClownsIsle really should raise the base friend cap for everyone if they're gonna introduce Guilds

I understand having *some* restrictions to prevent people from spamming guilds but 11 online friends seems dumb as hell. Character level, account age, an active membership, etc... all make sense but that one just weird.

Bruh guilds are literally 10 years too late. Should have been in the game to begin with. I can’t even hardly find 11 active players anymore 😂
The big problem with Guild-specific bonuses is that if you have 5% more damage for Guild members, that's actually 5% less damage for players who cannot make a Guild becahuse they don't have 11 friends to play with. Making a Guild with random people isn't necessarily desirable. This definitely is something that has to be done very carefully!
This is the problem with guilds in so many games. If you don't have friends, you need to get into what inevitably become elitist gate-keeping groups of players. And new content becomes balanced around benefits from guilds. As a whole, poorly implemented guilds will always ruin a game for most of the players. Guilds need to be based on a social functionality and helping each other.
@@chrisjackson1215 Sadly, yes. If Guilds were about trading, sharing a Guild house and the like, it'd be awesome. If Guilds are for Guild-specific bonuses Guild-specific farming opportunities, special rewards others can't get just as easily (see Spellements for a good bad example..) then you have a big problem.
I wouldn't be surprised that the reason they don't want us trading items is because they don't want people to get the "hard to farm" gear so easily. Like, say a lower leveled guild member essentially gifted an entire Waterworks set.
Well that and also it kinda encourages people to sell in game items for real cash
They can solve that problem by making certain items unable to be traded.

The Pet Daycare Center idea is amazing! I'd absolutely love that. I'd rather use my extra low level snacks by helping other people's pets than selling them for meager Gold
the biggest issue is the 11 player online requirement. w101 (for me) isn't a game that you can constantly play for more than a month or two without a new world update.
Fr. The fact they have to be online all at once is even worse. I never play for longer than 1 to 2 months at a time anyway, and I cant remember the last time I logged on and actually had a friend online lol

another interesting idea is a guild district. a collection of guild members houses, and a guild hall/community house in the middle of the street

Guild dividends - A rewards or rewards that are given every week based on how many quests, dungeons, or anything else is completed.
Guild events - participate in guild events and get rewards.
There’s a lot of things they can do with the guild system.
Good to see another video again lol. You should definitely make a video or stream if you plan to make a guild & stick through it. I’m sure many would be happy to help you. They’d be like the leaders (CEO’s) of the guild (company) once it’s been created and then recruiting (hiring) new players (employee’s) to participate to help the guild grow & become better (rapid expansion into a potential future monopoly) lol. Being max level is bad enough because that goalpost keeps moving with each new world update, so guilds are all going to be owned by those kinds of people who can keep up with the game. You can't just make a guild for you and your friends at, say, level 5 or 10, just to have fun. And 11 online friends? I have... one, and I don't want to go around and friending random people. That's just not me. And it's just a pointless restriction in the first place. In other MMO's, I can have a guild just for my friends OR myself if I really wanted! And from other things you've outlined in this video, KI is already going to screw this up, I just know it.

this is going to fall apart KI always screw something up each year like how the pet kiosk got ruined by the costs to make pets witch is expensive making a pet for a low level is even expensive just to solo and that new social kiosk is really a waste of time I'm not the social type in wizard101 because you never know who you can trust in the world of wizard101 and I'm not gonna randomly friend people for this stupid update that's gonna eventually fall this new guild thing ain't going to last long
I think you should stream the day you make the guild so it would be easy to recruit people

Level requirement should be at highest of like... 20-25.

Thank god. I’ve been waiting for this, or something like it, for so long now! Props to kingsisle
All I hope is that Kingsisle keeps things simple and gives this guild system a traditional mmorpg guild style. I feel like the max level requirement to create one is a bit much, maybe just have it so if you have an active membership you can create a guild, or if you don't have a membership they could go Kingsisle mode and charge like 1,000 crowns or something.
Also, I can definitely see them adding GvG to this game maybe as like a tournament style of pvp where the guild is split up into multiple matches, or even introducing an entirely new style of pvp, what if we had like a 10vs10 Guild vs Guild. Just ideas

This should've been a thing YEARS ago. To bad I don't play this game as much as I did before with a lot of random strangers became friends with. I probably would've been on even more back then if this was in the game already.
First thing I gotta say is I've been around since you did your fire walkthrough 7 years now and I really enjoy seeing your videos I've noticed no one does full walkthroughs anymore and I think it would be amazing to see you do another full game walkthrough and with all the new updates alote of new players would also enjoy seeing it for the first time this games amazing and it's a longshot to ask but would be incredible to see you do another walk-through :)
So I have a theory about Lemuria that I didn’t think of until I rewatched your walkthrough recently. Tara was absolutely right when she mentioned how the story in Ursai Village was a lot like the show Lost. And Night Forest seems to be based off of a movie called The Village. A group of people decide to live “simply” in an Amish-style conservative community and live in fear of displeasing a monster-like creature who is actually the town elders dressed in a costume. Occasionally the “monster” comes out and all the village people must hide in their homes. The leader uses it to control the people into behaving how he wants through fear. I haven’t thought of this theory in terms of the other areas so it may all be a coincidence but I’ll update if I connect the other areas to any other popular media.
Edit: Mandoria seems to be based off of Conan the Barbarian and other similar classic movies. Heap is clearly based on Gotham with references to Batman and other superheroes. This is further proven by names of characters in heap like “Paul Cudd” and “Tom Holstein” which are references to actors that play the heroes.

in trove they have a bunch of diff guild systems but i think one of the coolest ones r guild quests.(lets u level up ur guild for more benefits and u get mounts/potions if u do enough of them) and the community garden system, basically you can plant say couch potatoes in the guild garden. other members can help take care of them for you and when its time to harvest they can even harvest them for you. you'll still get ur rewards but they'll also get a share since they helped. it might be insane tho during double gardening but imagine like a guild wide garden with x 69 plots.

Since max level is always changing they should drop the requirement a lot. I’m thinking level 30 when you unlock the Zeus dungeon to be your first guild quest is to run the dungeon with a guild member or something along that line. I play every so often but the last time I played my “max” it was 130. I’m playing new characters now and I’d rather play on those :/

hi there my name is morgan and I play Noah in the game, KI has put in PVP spells in the school for the ones who play it. it really cool, however, not all play pvp and the spells are worthless for the ones. Is ki going to change them so both can use them in the game

Honestly, KI has had so many opportunities to make W101 great again and it has let me down over and over and over. :/ The fact that they don't have a free bazaar market and the fact that we still can only trade TC is ridiculous.

@@troginator That's the thing, we (40+) don't want to join someone else's guild since there wont be room for all of us in a random person's guild. We want our own guild for all of us. I don't know of ANY game that requires MAX lvl to create a guild. WHY? because MAX lvl is always changing. That means any time the max lvl changes, any new guild will require the NEXT new MAX lvl to create it. That's making it impossible for new players to create their own guild. I've been playing this game since it's 2nd year and I don't have a max lvl. It's insane to think I can't create a guild, when I've been playing the game for over a decade. It's down right idiotic for KI to imagine MAX lvl to create will work out in the long run. It's hard enough to maintain a guild after it's created, but to handicap the creation process on top of that - FacePalm@KI.
@@an81angel I think it’s to counter trolls who would just make troll clans and if you’ve been playing for multiple years you should already have a max even if you only played a little bit each time
@@troginator Again that's my point, we can't start one all 40+ of us have to join someone else which doesn't seem plausible if there are only 50 slots. You have some random person in charge with 40+ characters they can kick on a whim. NO. We Want Out Own Guild and none of us are MAX LVL.
@@an81angel So stop complaining and become a max lvl wizard. It really is not that hard and if you have been playing for over a decade, you should have been able to achieve that awhile ago. If anything, creating a guild is a pretty decent incentive for lazy players to actually play the game for once.
