Thanks to everyone who helped decipher that this was actually a top address mic. Always trying to get you the most accurate info, even when the manufacturer doesn't ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
so the seiren mini is side address and rest gonna be top address? that might cause bit of confusion in future imo

I only discovered it by accident. I had started talking into the front myself.
@@mrsrhardy connect is limited. Only 2 aux inputs and all mics have to be rode mics. Wave Link and Razer require one mic to use the software, then any input (even third party mics) are allowed. Rode's only advantages are recording capability and sound pad which Elgato and Razer should copy ASAP

The Wave with the VSTs beta now is definitely the best choice in my eyes. That's why I have a wave 1 and mix my sound so I can jam out to stream beats while gaming.
I just wanna say thank you for the great tips in a lot of your videos. I'm a Partner on Twitch and average from 100-150 viewers, but suffered immense burnout.

The more I watch your reviews of microphones, the more I'm convinced I need to just buy an Elgato Wave. I can't afford it right now, but I'll get one eventually.
Same. I'm gonna sell my blue yet 10th anniversary for the elgato wave 3.
Wave 3 has been great for me. I do like the Blue Spark mics for streaming as well. I just wish they would update them to have a mute toggle and link up with blue voice software.

I bought a Wave 3 and its been fantastic overall. Sold my Blue Yeti too. The Wavelink software is a great way to mix your audio. I now have OBS simply tracking the Wavelink Output for most of my audio. It is a bit odd that I also need to put an Audio Monitor on some sound sources to feed it back to me in OBS but other than that it works fantastically.
@@ThatFontGuy I ended up getting the Wave 1 but I had a ton of problems getting the mixer to work right, so I just ignore it and use it without the mixer.
Interesting note on the built in shock mount. I actually found the same exact issue with the supposed shock mount in the podmic and there was no easy way to add my own so I returned it. Definitely a must to avoid those desk bumps

Does anybody know if the new razer synapse audio mixing software would work with an older mic like the seiren x or the new smaller v2x? Only difference I can see between the v2x and v2pro is a second dial, but a $50 price change. Thanks!

@@HoveKB I mean it kinda is, it's just an updated reupload. Also what your referring to about the testing is in the same video, the testing in both was in the studio + he resused the same clips because reasons to not shoot the same thing twice for the same outcome.

Harris ive been consuming your videos on streaming equipment for a while now and I'm ready to step up my mic setup. I was hoping for your input on a combination i had in mind. Rode podmic, wave xlr, streamdeck 32 key. Vs. rode podmic, goxlr. Im considering cost and if the streamdeck buttons would sufficiently work as replacements for the goxlr faders. If so the total cost would be 100$ cheaper and i could have 4 audio channels controllable to my stream and headset plus plenty of extra keys to customize for whatever needs i may have. Any input?
The Wave mic also literally asks you to unplug the mic if it's plugged in when starting the software for the first time. It's probably a tech thing with plug and play that makes the software hook to the mic in a certain way. Not a bug...
For this mic and the Elgato wave 3 .. is there a way to control the sound of the mic ie.. an equalizer? Within the software.. like an extension or plugin if not.. is there plans for this the be added in the future?.. Also.. it would also be cool if we could change our voice to preset silly voices.. like alien, sheep, monster, man, woman .. ect. Thanks
Anyone know if there's a shock mount that works with the v2 pro? The ones I've found seem too small, I heard the Radius II for Blue Yeti works, but would love a confirmation before buying. Thanks!
I'd love to see blue add in the same type of software .. currently torn between yeti x and wave 3.. yes I'm aware I could use plugins to compensate but id rather have it in one software plus with the yeti I'd be able to eq my voice for my teammates because they have to hear you just as much as your stream
I'm more torn between Samson g track pro ( I think it sounds better then yeti) and wave mic 3 I think I'm getting the Samson I just don't think I'll be streaming much so I think I'll just get a higher quality mic
i got the siren mini after watching your review for usb mics and I can say for curtain that its pretty good starting out mic. I'm still playing around with settings in obs, especially after I've upgraded to the most janky function and hardware over form and looks desktop I've ever seen. I was using the most recent razer blade 17 I think it is before, usually at max fan speed to keep that damned battery from puffing. still a huge issue with there laptops so if anyone reading this has a razer laptop please do battery checks or have a tech friend do one for you. its unfortunately money your going to have to set aside. still planning my eventual mic upgrade when this mini starts dying or something, than again i might be set for years with this little pill.
Could you please teach me what the different sliders on an equalizer are for? I have been looking for an equalizer tutorial for a long time and can’t find one.
Would this mic be a good replacement for seiren X? or am I better off getting the seiren X Elite?

Can anyone help? I have the Razer Seiren V2 pro but the Razer app is not picking up that I have it connected so I can't actually use the app.

How does it compares to Razer Seiren Elite, putting the software support and cost aside? There aren't many options in my country unless you go to studio stores. Dynamic is much more professional in my opinion, so I don't look at the usual condensers.
"it's not finished" and "it's buggy" yeah.. welcome to synapse, Razor has some amazing hardware and good designers, but their development team could do with actually learning how to develop software, like, at all.. if they bothered to wait until it was 'ready' it would never be released
over my last 7 years using razer products. synapse has always been cumbersome and just horrible to use and made using the product displeasurable.
Haha, true..My Razer products has yet to fail on me.
But Synapse, I've only ever turn them on to set the bindings.
Synapse is so clunky. Wireless Razer mice can't even handle their custom lighting settings without lagging, so you need to use default effects.

I'm happy when the alpha team or senpai team are able to see a mistake acknowledge and redacted and correct the issue. Takes a lot to my i was wrong and I feel this team is amazing for that attribute. Some might of just left the review as it was and called it a day. Thanks everyone.

no sound canceling? but obs has both a limiter and noise suppression that basically cancels out both keyboard and table knocks, no im not just sayin it should ik it does cuz I tested it myself
You should’ve re recorded the entire audiotest, also for the other microphones, as you were in a different room, which colours the mic considerably

would you say this model is better than the Razer Seiren Elite ? i was considering getting this model because of the compatibility with Synapse, the Seiren Elite does not have Synapse controls.
Did you ever do one on the Razer Siren Elite, it's all metal like the V2 with same knobs on front. But I haven't found a video on it from you or anyone. Seems the same as the V2 to me. Let me know thanks.
The Blue Yeti X software still has a little ways to go but they've done a great job with presets. Can't wait to see what the future holds for the blue sona software
As far as this new razor microphone
I've read a bunch of stuff on this mic and I'm still confused as hell. Is it a dynamic like it says? And if so why would you speak sideways into a dynamic?
My one complaint with Razer is how long it took to track down that my mini was a top address mic. I now have it pointed towards me from just above to the right and everyone is impressed with how good the sound is in Zoom meetings. I have not had time to stream with it and have only done one video.
Does the razor mic software work with all razor mics or just the seiren V2?

I think you need to add to yout list of USB mics the RODE NT Mini, that comes with the RODE Connect software that is basically a Rodecaster Pro but without the hardware :)
RODE actually has their own software for this. It's available for the RODE NT-USB Mini and it's called RODE Connect. It's pretty similar and aims to compete with the Elgato software. It came out earlier in 2021

I’ve been thinking about getting elgato wave 3 mic and was wondering what a good face cam would be to go along with it any suggestions would be appreciated?
I got the Logitech c922x off of Amazon. It came with 6 free months of Vsplit which allows you to remove backgrounds and blur. You can touch it up to make it look better. I really love it for a $80 webcam
Do not get the c922 or c920. I bought it years ago and I still use it in my videos but I'm currently looking for a dslr replacement. The webcam does not hold up very well nowadays and you would be doing yourself a disservice by getting one since it would cap your video quality if you were to ever pick up lighting equipment to make yourself look better. It would make all the lighting equipment you bought useless since your face would become overexposed and get all bright and crap. Sorry don't mean to sound so passionate about this lol. Seriously tho, don't. Get at the very least a logitech brio so that way you get at least 1080p60. I would reccomend using your phone instead if you can tho if you dont want to spend too much money on a dslr setup, which requires the camera, dummy battery, capture card, tripod, etc.,.
Sorry for the essay but I don't want you to make the same mistake I made years ago by buying that piece of trash webcam

As of right now I’m looking for a facecame that does 1080p at 60fps to upgrade from the 15$ Walmart face cam I’m currently using Bc I’m tired of being blurry I also have bad lighting and would need some lights and stuff in my room which I heard the razer kiyo pro is good in bad lighting but I haven’t seen good reviews just about every face cam on the market has bad reviews so it’s hard to pick which one since I can’t afford going all out with dslr camera yet

What if the HyperX Quadcast S gets a software update?
I have to wonder if that the fact that you have to wait until you let go for the volume adjustment to take effect on the stream mix was meant to be so you can preview it and dial it in before you change it for your viewers. So the viewers aren’t sitting through you dialing it in. But, I could be off base.

I want a mic with a little range. I have the elgato wave and it needs to be so close to the mouth to get great quality. A little range would help
I was avoiding Razer products for a long time cuz they always had some issues with em. But I gave up once one bought Razer siren x mic bcuz I got it for 50% off. And its often fine but in game it works bad- always and sometimes records with a noise that come out of no were. Noise I mean a LOUD noise cause of idk.

I have the Wave 1, the software has its share of bugs the thing that made me stop using it completely is the fact you get audio delay if you have your game audio going through it

While I agree (for now) Elgato is my goto for my stream mic. The Wavelink software is a must for mixing audio, when is someone going to come out with an alternative to Nvidia's Background Noise Removal Software for USB mics??
you could try krisp or the reafir plugin for ambient background noises
@@saladsnake8887 Thx! krisp is 'okay' but the quality isn't there like with Broadcast. Now that I'm pn AMD GPU I'm missing it. Reafir might work. Looks a bit complicated for me. Guess I'll just have to shell out the $$ for a 3090 to 'come back to the fold' I guess. Lol.
