I was diagnosed with diverticulitis 2 years ago, and now I have a good sense of when the next flare-up is imminent. It's almost like I can predict it as soon as I consume something that I know I shouldn't. The symptoms include abdominal pain, accompanied by a mild fever, weakness, and an overall feeling of lethargy. To manage the fever, I take Advil and switch to a liquid diet for a minimum of three days. Thankfully, by the third or fourth day, I usually start to feel better. I've noticed that the key to avoiding such episodes, at least in my case, is to be extremely mindful of my dietary choices.
