On the one hand, it's a bummer that I've only just discovered this channel. On the other hand, I have had the opportunity to binge hours and hours of imaginative and informative videos.
i like the shorter neck on the saucer section. Space is big. really really big. 30 ships that are not galaxy class but are able to get the job done most of the time, what a good idea
I actually have a soft spot for these unconventional, oddball Starfleet designs. The Niagara looks weird, but that just gives it character. If anyone ever made a fanfilm with one as the lead ship, I would watch it with real interest. 🖖😎👍
@@TriAngulumAudioStudios The Niagara class has the design of a 24th century constitution class with a third nacelle.Another oddball ship that looks great and deserves its place in Star Fleet history.
Definitely has that in-universe kitbash feel that gives it the vibe of "We have these spare parts laying around and don't want to waste them so lets use them to test those new bits coming off the assembly line."
Can't wait for the follow up videos on the Niagara variants, like the awesome and majestic USS Horseshoe, and the smaller, significantly less impressive USS Buffalo.
I like the Niagara, it was a very interesting design, Although i can only see roughly 30-40 Frames being developed into the Niagara, while the Remaining 60-70 would Be redeveloped into a Starship variant that looked similar to the Ambassador, but with Major Changes, including a third Underslung Shuttlebay, Improved Bussards, and Advanced Deflector, resulting in the Ambassador-Class Refit (Otherwise known as the Yamaguchi Variant). Basically the refit is how we get the Zhukov, Yamaguchi, and the Refitted Excalibur-B. (I call it the Excalibur-B because it’s original number was NCC-26517, but Discovery turned it into a Legacy number with the Constitution-VII-Class Excalibur-M, so it’s the Excalibur-B now.)
with or without the buttom nacelle, the Niagara class, looks awesome and if I can find a way to get an webpage to help me get an RP site going, I would so captain that beauty. Or when and if STO get off their butts and this class and the other notable classes from all series of ST in game. my fan boy self will be most pleased indeed
I'd think the third nacelle on the saucer like the dreadnought would make more sense? If I'm not mistaken , then both hulls would then be idependently warp capable.
Like the recent Challenger Class, I like the idea of it being used as a testbed. The story and the ships fits into Trek but if I'm honest... not a fan of Tri-Nacelle ships. I Always saw this as an Ambassador Variant, I never noticed the Galaxy style details on the Saucer before. Nice video.
Im about to watch the video, and i know it will be amazing as otherwise you wouldn’t have posted it. Before i watch it i just wanted to say thank you for uploading all these videos. :) Can i also ask, do you have an upload schedule ? As idk if its just me as it seems these videos are being uploaded more frequently each week, not that im complaining. ;D
Ive always had a release schedule of 2-3 videos a week... Though of course there have been real life issues that have prevented me from maintaining that schedule... Videos are released at 10am EST Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays... (If 3 are released of course, if not that one of those days doesnt see a video release lol) Hope that helps!
You know it is funny that with all of these defunk ships lying about that there is no inter stellar course lines or major cargo transport company. I guess the only way to see the galaxy is either join your species navy or Starfleet
Even though this is from your own creative mind the ambassador class was quite successful, its durability to stand up against for romulan warbirds what show did it was one tough class
Actually that isnt from my creative mind, that's Beta Canon to explain why there arent many around in the later part of the 24th Century! And it makes sense! After all, if it was such a success like you claim, being a newer starship, it would be all over the Federation still, just like the Excelsior and Miranda Classes. But it's not! Not a single one was at any important battles during events like the Dominion War. So yes, sadly, it was an overall failure!
2 things. 1. I don't veiw the Ambassador class a failure. I don't think it was as big of a success as the Excelsior but I think even though we didn't see it much, it had a distinguish career in star fleet. 2. I think the Niagara class was ok but take of the third nacelle and it's actually a great looking ship!
Counter 2 Things. 1. It was a failure, as it was supposed to be heads above the Excelsior Class and was not. Its mix of old and new tech just didnt work! 2. I actually took off the 3rd Nacelle to see what it would look like, and it didnt look right at all, the pylons dont work for a dual Nacelle variant!
Do you really think that the ambassador class has to be considered as a failure? Memmory beta sais that later on the bajorans got the oppertunity to build the class. As i remember there weren't many accidents or major failures with the ship. Also USS Zhukov, Horatio, excalibur and Yamagucci were also around later. Hope i will get an answer. I love youf Videos but for me it seems like that you don't like the ambassador class this much😉❤
Well first off, you're incorrect about me not liking the class, I LOVE the class. But I am Bound by Canon and the majority of Beta Canon, which is simply that the class failed. That's why we dont see many during TNG and dont see any at all during things like the Dominion War. If you watch my videos on the Ambassador and Narendra Classes, it will give you more insight in to why it failed. As to Memory Beta. Again I have to consider contradictory information, and picks what makes most sense... But even the story you refer to confirms the design had been a failure... From Memory Beta- "In 2370 Starfleet commissioned the Bajorans to build a new Ambassador class ship named USS Hannibal at the Okana Shipyards on Bajor. At first Okana Shipyard director Amkot Groell thought the Federation had given the Bajorans a cast-off design, but quickly came to realize that despite the age of the class the Ambassador class design was still very good and quite modern." A cast off design, and it's safe to assume that the 1 ship they built would have been redesigned with new tech in it, rather then that teck of 40 years before hand. So this idea doesnt affect the class being a failure originally, when/ if 40 years later someone builds a new one and makes it work! Hope this provides you so clarity! And thank you for your support :)
@@TriAngulumAudioStudios thanks for your explanation now i get it. Sure you can't invent something. There is also one ambassador class ship that has been constructed in the 25 century do you know sth about it? I am not sure but i think it's an original ambassador. Its name is USS Loma Prieta. I only know that this has a connection to sto and the memory beta picture shows the normal stock yamagucci-ambassador. can you help me?
Sorry I know of no Ambassador Class starships constructed in the 25th century! Any ships constructed wouldn't have been an Ambassador Class, but rather a new Class either based on its style or a complete refit of it!
@@TriAngulumAudioStudios yeah but it is cool to have it on memory beta for sure maybe like you say a verry refited version what are your plans for your next videos. Will you continue projekt galaxy?
Well again, its a different class then the Ambassador Class, it was merely developed from it. I dont give out what exactly though! :)

I would like to see Starfleet to create one large space frame for testing purposes only. I suggest a Galaxy-class for it's large size; thus, plenty of room for experimentation.
That wouldnt be a logical or practical idea, as technologies work differently for a larger class then for a small class...IE Testing a warp field for a big class, the power cost, the amount of components etc, would be very different then testing for a class the size of the Defiant or Nova! You dont build a surround sound system to test out a walkman!
@@TriAngulumAudioStudios But building a new ship all of the time, and finding out it doesn't work is not logical either. Even in our time, companies and governments have been known to build testbeds to test out new technologies.
Sure with in reason, and your idea is FAR from that! Also, we build tons of things as testbeds for the same items, see cars, planes, boats, cell phones, coffee makers etc etc etc... So your incorrect about that point! Its a silly idea to say, lets build a huge battleship to test out the engine for a speed boat... Its not logical or practical!
