I agree, with ideal lighting it actually looks decent. I was dumb to not test a better mic, but I suspect the audio quality should increase considerably.
@@JoeCastellon I'm just looking for something. That is a step up from one of the cameras that I am using currently. I produce the footage for East Coast professional wrestling. And we do these larger tapings where I run 3 cameras. The original go pro I was using had a heating problem and literally burnt itself out. So I'm using a backup camcorder from 2006. Not very good quality by today's standards. If the audio is okay, that's fine since everything that camera would be used for will already have a commentary track with better audio.
@@RecallReviews depending on your budget you might be better off buying a used Google Pixel 6a or 7a, but otherwise as long as the lighting is perfect, you should be fine with this one. For the audio, a Diety D4 Mini would be a magnificent upgrade.
Hi Joe. I have a question, if you could answer...Thanks for the review. This is the very camera I am considering for my channel. Much better than what I have now. I make videos about welding. I know the boom mic it has is not good. I plan to use some wireless lav mics. Have you tried this camera with a setup like that? Maybe some DJI or similar? I'm just hoping that the audio is the included mic, and not the circuits in the camera. I will probably only use 1080p 30f. Considering this, would the be a good camera for my channel? I don't have a mic jack on my current camera
If you have plenty of light this camera will yield very decent video quality. As for the mic, I’m afraid I don’t have the camera with me anymore so I can’t test it with a good mic. To be honest I can’t remember if I actually tested it. If I was in your situation, I would try getting a used iPhone 12 Pro or better and get a wireless lav mic such as the fulaim X3 for the audio. Alternatively you could record the audio in your phone (still recommend the fulaim X3 for the audio) and sync to the video when editing. It’s an extra step but it would be a better result in terms of both audio and video. Good luck and feel free to follow up if you have any questions.
@@zandjebitv5261 it makes sense as most cameras turn off the main screen when connecting an HDMI cable to a monitor. Unfortunately I can't try it because I gave the camera away.
Very helpful. Thank you!
Does this camera have Clean HDMI for live streaming?
Im surprised, the video quality isn't bad, in my opinion. What if a better mic was hooked up to it?

I think the quality of the video is good. I'm particular with the audio quality. The only deal breaker for me I guess is the tone of the color.
Pls how can I connect it without my screen doing off
Was the 4K footage from this camcorder raw and wasn't edited on Photoshop...?
Everything is exactly as recorded from the camera. Keep in mind that very good lighting will give the best results.
@JoeCastellon What is your Nationality sir
Audio quality is terrible with this camera. I plan to return it. I adjusted the gain on the attached mic and it was just as bad.
Yeah this is more of a toy to be honest.
