The 1st time I knew that my engine was overheating is when steam was coming off the bonnet when it was ranining. Then started hearing the fan was on more than normal. No coolant warning lights came up. Coolant was half empty and I was diving it around for months.
I just watched A-1 Auto's video for this fix and it was so much more complicated b/c they did not remove the intake manifold like you did. They were mostly working blind. This fix makes a lot more sense. Thanks a bunch!
I have followed two of your videos, one for the vacuum leak (hose works perfectly) and this. Both times instructions were really good. Thanks for making my repairs alont easier!!
Hi, great video I am looking at an aftermarket crossover pipe and it appears to have a 15mm lug up by the water pump entry. The original does not have this. I’m wondering do some models have an extra small hose connected. Just need to make sure I get the right part. Thanks 🙏🏼
I'm actually struggling to find what part is causing my coolant to disappear (no visible leak)... It is supposed to have a faulty thermostat sensor (according to computer check) and only reason i noticed is cause there was white smoke coming out fron the exhaust while working on the interior of my mini with a/c on... Could this thermostat/hose issue lead to the burning of coolant?
Hi love ur videos obviously! Quick question I’ve finally discovered a leak I have not driven my car in a while there is a blue gel like right underneath that hose I guess it would be the thermostat right on top of the transmission but it’s back further not always visible and it doesn’t always leak? Any thoughts? Thank you very much please continue on
Hi thanks for asking, in my opinion, if you see gradual disappearing coolant from reading the reserve tank level, there should be a leak point. If is bearable, I would just top up some coolant time to time. If you feel it is quite annoying, I will do back pipe and thermostat replace at once. Better to take care both of them at once since the parts are not expensive.

Is it ok to refill the radiator with a non OEM universal anitfreeze instead of BMW Blue?
I think the best way is to put the MINI or BMW blue! For sure!
