GREAT, GREAT VIDEO! Would you know why my fob doesn't beep when I lock or un lock the car? Also, the red bulb that's on top of the speedometer thingy, what is it for, I have been told it's the light for the car alarm system, but as far as I know, there isn't one. I hav a 2015 mini Paceman!
The beep would only happen on cars equipped with an alarm, it means you have armed the alarm. Same with the red light aka the heartbeat, it blinks when the alarm is on. Probably 95% of 2nd Gen Mini’s don’t have alarms, I’ve only ever worked on 2 that have alarms
Had one on mine for a year, bmw recalled mine for a heat shield free of charge and mentioned it. Would be nice to get rid of it, thanks for the heads up
@@CamoSquid as of 2 days ago I’ve ventured into custom coding to remove a bunch of the codes that I can’t do anything about like my removed washer fluid reservoir lol
The only warnings lights Mini has for those is low oil pressure (red) and coolant temp too high (yellow, red). Sadly no gauges factory on these cars. Usually when those lights come on there is already damage occurring
When you cycle through the menu and do the CCID part it will show you on the same screen. Just tap the BC button on turn signal again and you might see another warning or it will just say next or something
Ok I got a question but see I have a 2017 camry it wasn't turned on till I got home when I open the door it'll flash but if I close the Door it Won't flash just when I turn off the car and open the door it'll notify me

I have that light on, BUT I also have the larger yellow exclamation mark in the triangle on the dash that is illuminated. Will it go away as well whenever I correct whatever the messages are?
Car on lift symbol means it needs attention/service. If it’s a yellow version it’s usually just service If it’s red it’s usually saying there is a fault that needs to be fixed immediately
Are the warnings always displayed or can they also disappear after a view of seconds? So I mean, if warnings disappear after a few seconds, the problems are still there, aren't they?
Only displayed for a few seconds...yes the problems are still there. By it disappearing most people just see the triangle instead of the actual warnings leading to that
had light malfunction light come on. Code CCID-136 left brake light I had a mechanic change the bulb and yet the malfunction light and triangle has not disappeared, Any idea why it didn't clear? Thanks
Sometimes the warning will stay if your footwell module is failing. I had the same with my countryman, I replaced bulb but warning was still there. Had more issues and replaced FRM and warning was gone. That being said sometimes the connector or housing gets melted and also causes the warning

I’ve had a total of 6 Mini’s. First 3 are really solid, one has had several super expensive issues like ecu failure, clutch broke, etc. amongst other electrical issues. Last two are new to me, one of those two is getting scrapped, the other I’ll be keeping and is in good condition. It really depends on the year and model, people love 3rd gens for reliability but they aren’t as fun as 2nd gens. Just look at the service records for your car and have it inspected

If you replace any lights with LEDs (R56) you'll get a warning because the lack of load fools the computer into thinking the light has burned out.
Interesting. I did replace my license plate bulbs with LEDS...
I used my Carly coder to remove the voltage sensors on the headlights so I don’t get that

You need to scan it with an actual scan tool. I recommend using the foxwell nt710
