That was an excellent presentation .While listening , I was remembering ,what my Priest had said on Purgatory ( Greek Ukrainian Catholic ) , which was very similar using the same scriptures . The only other I would mention is our Lord's parable of the rich man and Lazarus the beggar . How in Sheol they were separated , and the rich man had to suffer more than Lazarus . I think your application of 1 Corinthians 3:12-15 was a bit of a stretch. Reading this in the context of what Paul writes, I cannot see how this applies to Purgatory.
I’m a Protestant who married a Catholic. Thank you for this video, and pray for me & my family. We have been attending mass lately & I feel pulled by Christ / the Eucharist lately. Videos like this help me gain insight & understanding in my journey with God, so again thank you!
If you have time please watch Steve Ray, former pastor Keith Nester and Scoth Hahn videos as well. All of them were protestant that become catholic. They shared their journey becoming catholic.
I have been a lifelong Catholic, and I must say that this is probably one of the best presentations on Purgatory that I've heard in a long time. You address so many misconceptions held in both the protestant communities and, yes, even some Catholics. You take your time and logic and review the explanation so everyone can grasp this all-important concept. Great Job!
I too am a Cradle Catholic. I very much agree with the comment above. My brother became a born again when he were off to college in 1979 and argues with my sister & me justifying why he is not Catholic anymore. (Guess he could have done worse and become a communist-he went to Northwestern & the got his Masters from the university of Illinois-Champagne Urbana) I would like to send him a link to your podcast. But he never listens to what I send him
Just subscribed we were Jehovah's Witnesses radically came to Christ, after being evangelist and having our own Ministry my husband started reading early church fathers made his way to the Catholic Church I fought with everything I had until I prayed and asked God and held on to the Bible with my whole entire heart and he answered every single question now we're both in ocia hoping to receive Eucharist this Easter❤ thank you for your videos please pray for my daughter Kate she is starting to understand she took home some candles one for Michael the Archangel the other was the guardian angel and then she took home Jesus Sacred Heart and she let me bless her.
Hi there, as a JW I’m curious to know what convinced you? There are a number of things I don’t agree with JW (one being a form of purgatory is very much in the Bible). But I do think they have atleast 85-90% accuracy which is much more then what I’ve found with Catholics. 😅
As a protestant I honestly believe Catholics to be our brothers in Christ, and I do personally consider both the Catholic, and East Orthodox churches to be legitimately apostolic.
And we believe non Catholic Christians to be beloved brothers and sisters in Christ too I was a Christian before I was a Catholic. And for my Catholic friends… I delete every comment that calls non Catholics non-Christians. However imperfect or separated from full communion we may be, a baptized Christian is united by this sacramental gift of grace to the body of Jesus.
@@KennyBurchard So true. My first foster parents were Methodist. It was not until I was around 50 (I’m 70) that I understood how faithful ‘mum’ and ‘pop’ were in following Jesus. I never heard mum say a single word against anyone, we all attended church every Sunday, did Bible readings every night, they supported many people overseas, plus many other things. I completed RCIA and Baptised in 2017. I pray and thank God for having sent me to them (from aged 6-11). Although I experienced an ‘eventful and challenging’ childhood (many, many changes and still coming to terms with some events), what they taught was deep within me and surfaced eventually. 🙏🏻😁
Thank you so much Mr Burchard! I am a soon to be 17 year old in RCIA and I am in the deepest part of the Bible Belt. Through God’s grace I have had the opportunity to get to the parish closest to me with a friend who is also in the program too (we drive nearly 40 minutes to mass every Sunday!) These Bible highlights you give are simply amazing and help me a lot with my faith and continuing in it and not being hurt by any comments about it from anyone. I don’t know if you mind any requests or not but some topics that maybe you could discuss if you haven’t already would be the communion of saints, the papacy, or maybe even delve into certain things on typology! I apologize for the long comment but this channel does mean a lot to me, God is using you well, thank you so much sir!
RCIA and 40 minute drive and sadly young adults complain about 5-10 min drive? Stay blessed by God Most High and fight the good fight. Peace of Lord Jesus Christ to you.
God bless you @OffbrandOliver. I moved to SC and Roman Catholics are less than 3% of the population. It's interesting to say the least. Keep up with RCIA - you and your friend are to be commended !! 🙏
Regarding the use of the word Trinity to describe God, I understand that the term Trinity was first confirmed as Church doctrine at the Council of Nicea. So, if the Catholic Church confirms the use of a term used to describe God and it is still used today by Catholics and Protestants alike, although the word is not in the bible but the concept is, why not purgatory? Your ministry is fantastic. Protestant converts are adding so much biblical awareness to catholic culture. I for one appreciate it and wish more of my fellow Catholics would read their bibles. I read my Bible every morning, I am so hungry to hear God speak to us, it is fantastic. Thank you for helping me along my journey.
I literally just had this debate with a famous Protestant pastor 😅 I’m a little bitter that I couldn’t defend myself but I’m happy that it happened to lead me here . I’ll go back to his platform with this research. Thank you !
Çatholics do not teach about purgatory the way you spoke. They believe that it is an intermediate place where people go after death and will get purified gradually through prayers indulgences to make them fit for heaven. The Judgement seat of Christ that you equated with Catholic doctrine of purgatory cannot be justified. Both are two entirely different things, as I understand
It’s so cool that your ministry as a former pastor has continued. A converts perspective is so rich because of their deep understanding of the scriptures and knowledge of the false interpretations of the Bible that are used against the Catholic Church. Pastor Kenny lives as Catechist Kenny!
Biblically knowledgeable, intellectually honest former protestant ministers who have converted will be what saves the Church through our current (prolonged) crisis. May God Bless you and all others who have followed the same path.
I started sharing this channel to the catechumens in my Parish’s RCIA/OCIA classes. It is very helpful for those seekers to hear familiar concepts and then get the Catholic truth about those concepts. This channel helps seekers feel confident about their current Bible knowledge and then takes them even deeper in their Bible knowledge. Embracing the fullness of faith.
I find this very advantageous to share with not only Catholics, some who are weak in the Faith, but our Protestant brothers and sisters, who are “open” to at least “hearing” the Truth that we Catholics Treasure, Praise, Bless, Love, Adore & Glorify our Omnipotent Heavenly Father for revealing & gifting us with his Divine Essence. Thank you and I praise God for your conversion that what you have grow to KNOW & UNDERSTAND, “like Paul” may touch others who are traveling on a different path. ❤️🙏❤️🕊️❤️🔥❤️
This is amazing. Now I need to relisten and write down the notes. I never thought of purgatory as already being in the presence of God, but as part of the journey to see him face to face.
Wonderful video, I needed a refresher. I was awakened two nights ago at 3 am after a brief "dream" in which I found myself looking at and speaking with my maternal grandfather who passed away 20 years ago. I won't give all the details, but he spoke as clearly as if it was just yesterday I had heard his voice, he looked physically vigorous as I remember him when I was a boy and he was in his early 60's. He seemed calm and serene yet serious. As soon as the dream ended I awoke, fully alert and felt immediately to pray for him. I have a small altar at my bedside so got down and said three Hail Mary's for the repose of his soul and spent another hour pondering this. I have never had such a thing happen. My grandfather was a wonderful man, humble, gentle, and I was close to him. He taught me a lot, and I often think of him and wish he could have seen some of my life since his passing. He was not Catholic, but once we had a good talk, and he was very friendly with Catholics and respected their faith. I have hope he needs my prayers now. In the dream I happened to be on my way to visit him (as if he were still alive), and I bumped into him in the street just outside the cemetery where he is buried, in the same neighbourhood he lived in for 50 years, and only later after I awoke and was meditating on this location, did this obvious detail hit me. What we discussed is perhaps not so important, as the fact he seemed to be doing well, but very grave yet relaxed about it. Very hard to put into words, his countenance was just...serene resignation, his words very measured. I hope to one day truly meet him on the other side.
Excellent and so confidently presented! As to those who claim that Jesus paid for each individual, I recall Matthew 22:11-12, the prable of the wedding feast guest who was not wearing a wedding garment. From the Rev. George Leo Haydock Bible Commentary: "Ver. 12. Not having a wedding garment. By this one person, are represented all sinner void of the grace of God. (Witham) - To enter with unclean garments, is to depart out of this life in the guilt of sin. For those are no less guilty of manifesting a contempt for the Deity, who presume to sit down in the filth of an unclean conscience, than those who neglected to answer the invitations of the Almighty. He is said to be silent, because having nothing to advance in his own defence, he remains self-condemned, and is hurried away to torments; the horrors of which words can never express. (St. Chrysostom, hom. lxx)"
Hi Kenny! Praying for your channel to grow so that many can be informed of your wonderful teachings not only the other religions particularly the lukewarm Catholics.
Kenny, I just started watching your videos and have recently subscribed. I am a former member of The Assemblies of God, but now couldn't be happier to be home in the Catholic Church. I just wanted you to know that I think all of your videos are excellent because they emphasize the importance of us Catholics to know the Word of God and to apply it in our lives. For many years I only read from my King James Spirit Filled Study Bible. Now I read from the Revised Standard Version Catholic Edition. I am so thrilled to now have the entire Bible!
A lot has been said by the Catholic Church about this Biblical Doctrine. But despite these, Satan will always be pushing away the skeptics and has a harder glue to seal those skeptical. Thank you for this much easier version, Kenny..
about purgatory is already there in bible but some people say that is not true but for me as a catholic very confident about this in my daily prayers too I bring a special prayer for souls in purgatory❤ keep it up god bless.. PAX ET BONUM
Thank you for your in-depth videos. My parents and I came into the Church in 1952, when I was 14. We had attended a Dutch Reformed denomination before. I am grateful for a Church whose Fathers did all the hard work for us in the Catechism. I would be exhausted if I had to be a Bible scholar.
Beautiful! Purgatory is a state of purification . If you want to bind a piece of metal with gold, you'll have to take of what os not gold to bind as One piece. Purgatory is that process.
I heard one of the scholars say: if not for purgatory fewer people would make it to heaven, purgatory opens the gate a bit wider because God is merciful. Jesus was asked: but who can make it to heaven? (After He says: it is easier for a camel to go through a needle than for a rich man to go to heaven). He adds: with man is impossible, but with God everything is possible. Nothing impure will enter heaven, we all have fallen short, (sin).
My elder brother passed away on 6May2024.On 16 September in my dream, I asked my brother where he is (which i wanted to ask him a long time ago) He said he is in an open space where there is no light and no darkness. And he asked me to pray for him. I tell you my friend's purgatory is 200% real.
I could feel the zeal of St Paul after his conversion as you unveiled every bit of misconceptions about purgatory. God bless your catechitical ministry
Thank you so much! I’ve only been a Catholic for 3 years and although I didn’t understand the doctrine of Purgatory, I accepted it. It makes more sense now - especially knowing Purgatory is the person of Christ purging our sins. Fantastic!
I just found your channel, Kenny. Thank you for your ministry and may God be with you always! I will be sharing the knowledge you have imparted to me and the link for your channel with the many anti-Catholics I encounter on a regular basis. Heavenly Father, may we, the many churches of your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, be one as you and He are one, we in you and you in us, Your one voice crying out in this fallen world, Holy Holy Holy! Amen. Blessed be God forever!
I've been doing the St. Gertrude prayer for the last six years and I set a goal for every 10 days to help 1 million souls to be released from Purgatory. Next month I will have reached 200,000,000 million souls to find freedom from Purgatory. I only wished I would have known about St. Gertrude's prayer sooner. I also documented every million that I reached to prove to anyone who might question my claim. Once I reach my goal then 3 hundred million will be my next goal. Blessings to all of you who are helping the poor souls in Purgatory.
The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches that every sin is due to attachment to a creature, whether person, possessions, beauty, wealth, power, health, reputation, popularity, etc. The repentant sinner [gold, silver] may have been forgiven of the sin, and therefore qualified to go to heaven, but may need to be purged [purified] of the attachment [dross, ore] through the purifying fire of Purgatory. Only unblemished souls can enjoy the Beatific Vision [be in the bliss of God], seeing His Face. In a sense, we can understand this as "Our God is a jealous God" brooking no rivals from the soul's attachments. ❤❤❤
Thank you Brother. The Lord never disappoints he always gives me what I need. I look forward to learning from your videos.May the Lord continue to bless you many times over.
Hi Kenny, thanks for this wonderful presentation. I have learnt so much I was an evangelical protestant for most of my life and joined the church in November 2019 862. This is the best presentation I’ve heard on Pratt and answered all my remaining questions. Thank you.
Hi Kenny, thank you for this amazing video. I was a Presbyterian Protestant for most of my life and joined the Holy Church three years ago. I’m glad I found your channel. Keep up the good and blessed work!
I am a catholic evangelist. I got many with the help of the Holy Spirit to understand Purgatory. First I told them the Bible says there are two kinds of sin 1 John 5 :16, 17 says If you see any brother or sister commit a sin that does not lead to death, you should pray and God will give them life. I refer to those whose sin does not lead to death. There is a sin that leads to death. I am not saying that you should pray about. Non deadly sin and deadly sin. Then I show them Rev 21:27 Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life. Then I show them Proverbs 24:16 For a righteous man falls seven times, and rises again, But the wicked stumble in time of calamity. Do you think you don't sin seven times? I have been blessed to get with the Holy Spirit about 20 people - one is a priest today!
Thnax for this... as a Catholic that just came back to the Church a few years back, I struggled with this concept of Purgatory. This makes all the sense in the world to me.
Kenny! These videos are amazing and exactly what I needed! Thanks so much for your hard work and helping this Catholic defend her faith 😇 God bless you!
Pray the rosary of divine mercy at 3:00 p.m. every day. Pray the rosary of St Michael the Archangel. Pray the rosary of St. Gertrude the Great for the souls in purgatory for sinners within the universal church and sinners throughout the world. Pray the rosary every day. Do not forget to pray the rosary of the precious blood of Jesus.❤❤❤
This is the best bible study on purgatory I have ever seen. I like that you do these videos like a bible study and not just a lecture or a discussion. You make a great point about how Protestants act like it's our own death that causes us to go from sinners to ready for heaven instead of Jesus's death being the cause. I've seen videos of protestant preachers speaking from the pulpit tearing up Catholic doctrines and go on big tangents against the Catholic Church. I think to myself, "this isn't their worship service, is it?" I hope it's done outside of worship service as a class or presentation. Or is this usually done during worship service? Is this how you worshipped God as Protestant pasture? I'm asking you since you are already admitting to and showing yourself in your former days. I hope you continue these videos and show more video clips of your former self as you did in the crucifix video.
Beautiful perspective of purgatory! Thank you so much for giving us a depth insight of God’s Mercy through His Fire of Love. 🔥❤️❤️❤️🙏 May God give you more Grace and wisdom to share the beauty of our Catholic Faith. God bless you! 🙏
This explanation was AMAZING. I became Catholic two and a half years ago and this is the BEST explanation I've heard. Thank you so much, I have liked and subscribed and will share.
Liked and subscribed for your channel. Im from scotland and practised religion at school. Then completely turned away. Im now returning at 38. I dont know why. But something is drawing me back to our faith
Praise God! “IF” you have not already, please consider going to Adoration of Christ in the Blessed Sacrament (also known as “Holy Hour”). Call your local parish and find out when they offer it. Then, just go and sit in silence in Christ’s Presence. Take your bible. Read scripture, pray, contemplate. Tell the Lord of your search for truth, of your doubts, worries, even fears. Then, be as patient with Him as He has been with you. When you receive the grace to know that HE IS THERE, you will be forever changed. Miracles occur in Christ’s presence - of that I can personally attest.
New subbscriber here sir Kenny from the Phil🇵🇭 im baptized as a faithful Catholic til this present, its a remarkable topic more power to your channel sir, God bless you and your family🙏✌️
I've listened to this talk at least three times now and it is greatly appreciated. So much so that I purchased the Journal Edition of the Bible you spoke of. One of the first things I do with a new bible is check out the accuracy of it. For example, Matthew 16:26 What does it profit a man to gain the world and lose his soul. This is the proper interpretation. Of the half dozen other bibles I have, you may see translations such as; "lose his life;" in exchange for his very self;" etc. Here's the problem I've found over time. Changing the wording in verses such as this waters them down. And if you are new to the bible you cannot grasp the intended depth of meaning of such verses. What is more important, ones temporary life, ones' temporary self or ones' immortal soul. There are a lot of other examples in other bibles like this and it literally breaks my heart because as the word is watered down one's faith becomes weaker, less effective etc. This bible uses the term "Life" not soul.
@KennyBurchard I love adoration and just started praying for you and your channel. It's helped me keep away from social media and all the hate I see there. I'm so glad you don't let the trolls go wild here. I started to watch this video and didn't realized it was close to an hour so paused it so I could get to mass and adoration by 7am. Now I will finish watching it. May the Lord keep blessing you and your channel. I share your videos on Facebook. God bless.
Wow! Sometimes our algorithms work for us. It definitely was a plus when it brought me to this podcast. I have immense appreciation for all former Protestants when they continue to evangelize their new found Fullness of Faith in Catholism. This teaching on purgatory was excellent. I'm able to share it with others in hopes they will listen and ponder. Thank you so much and Good bless you richly for your work to further God's Kingdom. 🙏💝
Thank you for this video. Even as a lifelong Catholic, this really helped me to refine my own understanding of purgatory. May the Lord continue to bless you in your Ministry.
It would be beneficial to refer to specific statements in the Cathecism of the Catholic Church as to the points you present as teachings of the Catholic Church. The Cathecism is laden and heavily footnoted with scriptural references. Thank you for your wonderful work!
This IS THE BEST explanation and help on Purgatory! THANK YOU SO MUCH.!! I am a cradle Catholic and have learned so much , especially how to share THE BEAUTY of the GIFT IF PURGATORY 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤
Praise God for this spiritual enhancement. I truly appreciate all these tips on how to remember the points you have raised. Thank you for this Bible study. God bless.
Thank you so much Mr. Buchard. It's very clear that God pulled you from a church apart from His own and brought you home where He commissioned you to shed light on truths that many Christians don't believe and in fact mock. I hope your ministry be blessed even more and I hope this particular video will sink in to our non Catholic brothers and sisters. Again, a big thank you to you.
I love your videos God Bless 🙏🏻. Can you do a video on praying to Mary and the saints and adding Catholics worship statues and icons…that’s what Protestants always brings up as well.
Thank you for explaining this. I have recently dove into the Bible, and am learning it's truly God's word. Unfortunately (as I have learned) throughout my Catholic upbringing and schooling, I was convinced it was a PLACE...because we are told to pray for the poor souls in purgatory. I have always had a hard time defending this doctrine.
Thanks a lot for your ministry Bro. You are working to be a part of etrenghtening the Body of Christ against the attacker, but the truth is sorry to them for Jesus has promised that even the gates of hell will not prevail against the Church. (Matthew 16:18-19)
GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR AWESOME MINISTRY , BROTHER KENNY 🙏🏻 WHAT AN AWESOME and INSIGHTFUL SESSION to understand the doctrine of Purgatory. 👍👍👍 ❤ from Singapore.
Awsome! This explains a lot but really gives me hope that Jesus is going to give up on me because of my imperfections. This is my new favorite channel.
Thank you, Mr Burchard. I am a 71 yr old Christian that is seriously considering converting...I already believe a lot of the mire Catholic teaching such as the Blessed Virgin Mary..(although I was taught Jesus Did have biological brothers). Purgatory was a concept that terrified me more than it should have (perhaps because I was burnt very badly as a child) and the thought of purging by fire was not pleasant. You have cleared up a lot of the confusion and I suppose I need to have a talk and have the Preist finally put my mind at ease......(About this and the current questionable statements from the Pope) but you have done a LOT to make it less frightening. I have watched a few of your videos and you do a WONDERFUL job explaining things. Most of the apologists from the Catholic Perspective do nice work but I have found 1 or 2 on both sides that are too sure of themselves and cone off as arrogant if you're on the "other side"....but you are down to earth and truly care for everyone as individuals.....and youre the 2nd or 3rd Converted Minister I have been listening to. Thank you again.
As a Catholic who’s fond of apologetics, I have the same difficulty with arrogance in apologetics. My impulse is to correct them and remind them to be humble and gentle and loving in their videos and responses, but from my experience it can cause pride to put up defenses. I would be grateful if you, as a non-Catholic, would leave them a comment explaining they would open more hearts by humble, loving responses and critiques. They may listen to a non-Catholic - the target audience. God bless you and your loved ones❤
This is a wonderful explanation. Thank you! Is there another video explaining how Catholics pray for the souls in purgatory, and how they can help those who are still being purged in the fire? I am sure this is also an issue for Protestants. (Maccabees) I have been praying for the poor souls in purgatory all of my life, since I was a child. We also pray for them at every Mass . Recently Our Lord told me to offer my daily Mass for my deceased parents for one year. They were devout Catholics and good people. I had no idea as to the state of their souls, but I was sure they were not in hell. I offered each daily Mass for them for one year, as the Lord asked. After that I felt a release as to any difficulties I had with them. A week later my sisters went to my deceased mother's house and took away her clothes, which had been in a room for a couple of years. However, my sisters have left the Catholic faith, but it seemed to me that the spiritual connection to them through our mother was intact because of what they did. The Orthodox teach that after 40 days the soul goes to either heaven or hell. They do not teach the Catholic concept of purgatory. And of course there is the issue of indulgences.
A dear Catholic Friday end of mine decided to study the Bible cover to cover . However,he did his study with a PROTESTant friend. Odontological know which version of the Bible they were using.. He knew the Bible in depth, but due to her input, he no longer believe in Purgatory, no longer held the Blessed Mother in high regard, and was repulsed by the repeti cious chanting of the roseyx I assured him that I would pray for him after he fed as I anticipated that he’d be spending time in Purgatory cleaning up before being able to enter Heaven.
@@johnholmes9801 Jesus said, “I am the way the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father accept through me.” We worship only God. Everything else is a false idol.
I enjoyed this lesson . I am a protestant minister who was raised Catholic. I was definitely taught that Purgatory was a place and prayed for the souls there. I was told to pay money for loved ones. Candles with money amounts for coins and dollars was in the church. This was over 50 yrs ago, so did the teaching change over time?
The teaching of the Church (the official dogmatic teaching) and the teaching you may hear at the parish level or even regional level may be expressed in ways that are more or less helpful. That is why it is important to have a coupe of the Catechism in hand. That is the dogmatic teaching no matter what any Catholic says.
Like it. I am doing my best to catch up... Many thanks. Working through the previous book you recommended gives me ways to flesh out videos I was planning on making (on a new channel, don't think apologetics goes with DIY and machining.)
Very well explained.... purgatory which is always a topic that non - catholics can not accept is clearly and comprehensively presented and discussed. Thanks to you
Amen and amen Kenny, thanks for the teaching, it's pretty clear. It's not the will of God for all to perish but have everlasting. Furthermore, Jesus paid the price in full on the cross. In other words, no one should go to hell. We will go through the process of refining ourselves until we become perfect. I now understand better than what I thought previously.
I wonder: How can a broken, sinful individual preferably perfect the self? Impossible! God must be involved at all stages of purification. Purgatory is the final mercy.

When I was little, I thought of Purgatory as the scene from The Wizard of OZ where everyone gets cleaned up before entering the Emerald City
@@cruznature7545 i like it!😁
I have been a lifelong Catholic, and I must say that this is probably one of the best presentations on Purgatory that I've heard in a long time. You address so many misconceptions held in both the protestant communities and, yes, even some Catholics. You take your time and logic and review the explanation so everyone can grasp this all-important concept. Great Job!
Thanks keep going. Now share what you know and watch what God does!

Hi there, as a JW I’m curious to know what convinced you? There are a number of things I don’t agree with JW (one being a form of purgatory is very much in the Bible). But I do think they have atleast 85-90% accuracy which is much more then what I’ve found with Catholics. 😅
@DivineConversion hi may I please know where you got the book for the early church fathers. I would like to read it too. 🙏 thank you
As a protestant I honestly believe Catholics to be our brothers in Christ, and I do personally consider both the Catholic, and East Orthodox churches to be legitimately apostolic.
Ummm...in case you where not aware, we Catholics *are* Christians!
protestants are the ones who don't belong to any apostolic Church
It’s in the queue. Keep pressing on in your faith. You never know what our a Lord can do with a person who 100% gives their life to Him!!
RCIA and 40 minute drive and sadly young adults complain about 5-10 min drive? Stay blessed by God Most High and fight the good fight. Peace of Lord Jesus Christ to you.
Welcome home!
I once read that Tertullian was the first to 'use' the Latin word Trinity circa 200 AD but, as you said, Nicea first confirmed it in 325 AD. Thanks.
I literally just had this debate with a famous Protestant pastor 😅 I’m a little bitter that I couldn’t defend myself but I’m happy that it happened to lead me here . I’ll go back to his platform with this research. Thank you !
Please go easy on him. Pray a lot for guidance. Make sure your north is God's love.
Great video
It’s so cool that your ministry as a former pastor has continued. A converts perspective is so rich because of their deep understanding of the scriptures and knowledge of the false interpretations of the Bible that are used against the Catholic Church. Pastor Kenny lives as Catechist Kenny!
I like it better this way.
Biblically knowledgeable, intellectually honest former protestant ministers who have converted will be what saves the Church through our current (prolonged) crisis. May God Bless you and all others who have followed the same path.
@@vintage53-coversandorigina37 Agree with what you've said and we're so blessed to have him.
I am so blessed to be back in the Catholic Church.
Yep the end of our journey which is the beatific vision is to fully behold the face of God. We will be looking at his face until that sight is clear.
(St. Chrysostom, hom. lxx)"
There is also another wonderful commentary on purgatory on youtube.
"dr Brant Pitre, Jesus' teaching on purgatory.
This channel is quickly becoming another one of my favorites. I have to agree with you about Dave Armstrong.
And grace will be pushing people towards Catholics truths.
Let’s pray for conversions to catholicism! 🙏🏻🕊️
I listen to these on the road, so no fineliner for me, but I'm really stoked for this!
Eyes on the road (eyes of your heart on Jesus)!!
New subscriber. So glad to be here!
Thank you!😊
about purgatory is already there in bible but some people say that is not true but for me as a catholic very confident about this in my daily prayers too I bring a special prayer for souls in purgatory❤ keep it up god bless.. PAX ET BONUM
Thanks Kenny, I love listening to you, Matt and Kenny on the Coming Home channel and today found you on Catholic Highlights. ❤❤❤
There's a lot to learn. We can't know everything -- but we can try!!!
Fantastic!
Glad it was helpful!
Awesome! Thank you!
@@waynesnyder8097 your dedication and faith really touches my heart. I hadn’t heard about this prayer but I intend to look it up. Thank you!

Now it's 11k . Good job Uncle. Thank you.
I ran into you by chance on U Tube and I am Soooooo Happy i did ....
--- I can't Thank You Enough Catholic, Pastor Kenny ....
Aw thanks! I like being a layman now. God is good.
Such profound important teaching. Thank you for this lesson, I have been touched by God’s Mercy as I listened and read The Word
Honestly, the discussion was excellent. I learned deeply. I will continue to learn deeply from this channel. God bless.
Thank you Brother. The Lord never disappoints he always gives me what I need. I look forward to learning from your videos.May the Lord continue to bless you many times over.
You are very welcome
Hi Kenny, thanks for this wonderful presentation. I have learnt so much I was an evangelical protestant for most of my life and joined the church in November 2019 862. This is the best presentation I’ve heard on Pratt and answered all my remaining questions. Thank you.
Welcome Home. I’m so glad. It takes a long time to think about Jesus!!
Hi Kenny, thank you for this amazing video. I was a Presbyterian Protestant for most of my life and joined the Holy Church three years ago. I’m glad I found your channel. Keep up the good and blessed work!
Welcome home!
Awesome. Visit me here chnetwork.org
Leaving Comments is also a good way to drive the channel forward! Thank you, Kenny, for your close reading of the Bible!
That's the best explanation of Purgatory I've ever heard using Scripture. Thanks Kenny.
Kenny! These videos are amazing and exactly what I needed! Thanks so much for your hard work and helping this Catholic defend her faith 😇 God bless you!
I am loving this series. Definitely recommending it to people. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome, thank you!
Thank you for this invaluable lesson, God bless you!
You're very welcome!
Absolutely beautiful video and great teaching! Thank you Kenny
So very clearly articulated. Excellent presentation. Thank you, and may God bless you and all who come to understand!
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you so much and may God continue to bless you and your ministry Amen 🙏
I discovered your channel just recently, and I'm loving your videos!!! But they usually have very low volume. Hope you could do something about it.
God bless you bro. for everything you are doing depending our Catholic doctrine and educating us.
Beautiful perspective of purgatory! Thank you so much for giving us a depth insight of God’s Mercy through His Fire of Love. 🔥❤️❤️❤️🙏
May God give you more Grace and wisdom to share the beauty of our Catholic Faith. God bless you! 🙏
This explanation was AMAZING. I became Catholic two and a half years ago and this is the BEST explanation I've heard. Thank you so much, I have liked and subscribed and will share.
You are very welcome
Delighted to get this clarified. Thank you very much. G Ire
Thank you so much for this great explanation of Purgatory. It has helped me so much in understand and accepting...Thank you, again ...
Liked and subscribed for your channel. Im from scotland and practised religion at school. Then completely turned away. Im now returning at 38. I dont know why. But something is drawing me back to our faith
I’m so glad to hear it. A new video going up tomorrow!
I love this channel. What a rich and dense presentation of the biblical case for the doctrine of purgatory. Thank you, Kenny!
Glad you enjoy it!
Love, love, love this very in depth talk on Purgatory. I'm sure I'll be watching it again! So much information. Thank you, Kenny!
Thank you for this amazing liturgical lecture. Amen. 🙏
Welcome!
This is great work love how you incorporate methods to learn and note take
@KennyBurchard I love adoration and just started praying for you and your channel. It's helped me keep away from social media and all the hate I see there. I'm so glad you don't let the trolls go wild here.
I started to watch this video and didn't realized it was close to an hour so paused it so I could get to mass and adoration by 7am. Now I will finish watching it.

Wonderful!
who on earth ... is ever going to doubt the existence of purgatory after such a beautiful teaching from the guidance of the HOLY SPIRIT?

Now i understand what purgatory means thanks God for another imformative knowledge regarding about the doctrine of purgatory
Awsome! This explains a lot but really gives me hope that Jesus is going to give up on me because of my imperfections. This is my new favorite channel.
Wonderful!
Great explanation. Thks. I’m sharing this for sure
Great presentation
U hv done it all
Blessed art Thou.Amn
THIS IS THE BEST EXPLANATION--EVER! PLEASE KEEP PRODUCING THESE CATECHESIS. GOD BLESS YOU
Thank you, I will
This is a wonderful explanation.
I love praying for the poor souls in purgatory. Thank you for this great video.
Thank you so much for this clarity
You are so welcome
Very well explained.... purgatory which is always a topic that non - catholics can not accept is clearly and comprehensively presented and discussed. Thanks to you
The best explanation of purgatory I have ever heard. Thank you brother.
Absolutely ❤
Incredible insight and clarification brother, God bless you
I was taught that purgatory is not a place but a process of purification according to the catechism. Great video and well explained.
Awesome!
