This doode is one the hardest producers out right and period!!! There's allot of producers that are dope,but he still delivers that "hip hop" essence.Most producers make shit for the radio(its all good) but nothing can take away the feeling that makes you wanna rap even if you aint a rapper or trying to be one! thats magic!!!
props to clipse for not stressing the radio format too much.. when i first heard this joint didn't know it who produced it, just new it was RAW!!! Khalil been killin it for a minute.. hot

that beat is dope. i really thought it was a sample. the beat that he did for drake "forever" is still my favorite by him tho.
Not really his fault, 9th Wonder said it best, "If I send Jay-Z a beat cd with 50 beats on it, and he chooses track 5 10 and 30, and they are hot, everybody is gonna come and say, "give me what you gave Jay-Z". Unfortunately this has been a problem is Hip Hop for years, its all about keeping up with what's hot to stay relevant, the soul of this genre is almost non existent in the mainstream scene. Thank God for the underground!!!

i highly doubt it was just some loop. it was probably something he recorded before and was just going through his different rex files and saw it fit with the song. it was just percussion anyway, and i wouldnt think any less of him because khalil is incredibly talented.

I only heard of Kahlil coz of Wont Back Down by Eminem and thought what a maaaad song it was! Then I heard the other tracks he did on Em's album. This is the 1st time I've heard Kind of a Big Deal by Clipse but damn it sounds good!

@rownus props to khalil though for understanding how the instrument works and that sort of thing, im not sure how many hip-hop producers would be able to tell you much about recording guitar, and guitar effects and that sort of thing
