I believe the Tucuma Butter you used weighs more than just 10g, i used a Kokum Butter and the result of a 10g measurement was way smaller than what you said you used in your video.
Kokum butter and tucumã butter have different densities. Even if you measure out 10 grams of each, kokum butter might appear smaller because it's denser and takes up less space. I used 10 grams of tucumã butter, and you can see how small this 6cm plate looks with it. I’ve verified it’s 10 grams by checking the original recipe too, so the amount is accurate.
No, sorry, but creating an emulsified face cream requires specific ingredients beyond shea butter, beeswax, and emulsifier wax. While these are nourishing, they won't properly emulsify to create a face cream like this one
Hello, Please is there a reason you put it in the fridge first before whisking? Is to prevent air bubbles from forming? Cus i find that when i whisk immediately with my hand mixer, i get lots of air bubbles
Yes, putting the mixture in the fridge before whisking can help reduce air bubbles, which is a common issue when using a hand mixer. Cooling the emulsion before whisking allows it to thicken and start stabilizing, making it easier to whip without trapping excess air. This cooling step can also improve the texture and consistency of the cream, as the oils and water phase solidify together more evenly. If you're still seeing bubbles after the first whisk, repeating the cooling and whisking steps can help them settle further, resulting in a smoother cream with fewer air pockets.
You can definitely add a little water to this face cream if it's too thick. Just make sure the water is distilled and warmed to a similar temperature as the cream to help it blend in smoothly. Add it gradually, whisking gently to incorporate, but avoid over-whisking, as that can make the emulsion break or cause unnecessary air bubbles.
The ideal pH for a face cream is generally around 4.7 to 5.75. This range is closer to the skin's natural pH. To adjust the pH of the face cream, increase acidity with citric or lactic acid, or decrease it with baking soda.
Without a preservative, the shelf life could be as short as a few weeks to a couple of months, depending on various factors such as storage conditions, exposure to contaminants, and the specific ingredients used. However, it's hard to provide an exact timeframe, as shelf life can vary. The inclusion of a preservative is crucial for extending the product's stability and safety over a more extended period.
Yes, you can use Cetearyl Alcohol and PEG-20 Stearate as an emulsifier in my face cream formulation. This combination will still provide a stable and creamy texture.
Could you clarify which emulsifier you're referring to? I used Cetearyl alcohol and cetearth-20 in this recipe, Once identified, I can assist you better regarding your substitution query.
@@suzannerwt Use either Emulsifying Wax NF or Cetearyl Alcohol and Polysorbate 20 combined, This combination can mimic the emulsifying properties of Ceteareth-20.
I highly recommend checking the pH of my face cream as it is important. The skin's pH ranges from 4.7 to 5.75, and maintaining this balance is vital to prevent irritation. While I consistently check pH in all my formulations, I occasionally feature the process in my videos.
The pH of my face cream was 5.5 which is perfect. Face creams pH typically ranges between 5.5 to 6.5, which is compatible with the skin's natural pH for optimal effectiveness and comfort.
It is so nice to see someone reply to queries, many do not. I would certainly recommend this channel

Hello and thank you for sharing those wonderful informative videos. Any emulsifier can be used other than Cetearyl and ceteareth?thank you
Yes you could, it might be necessary to adjust the recipe slightly to ensure that the cream maintains its desired consistency and stability.
@@beautybooster_diy4848 thank you very much . Will try it for sure🙏🏻
