I’ve recently found this channel and binge watched a lot of your videos , and have been nothing but impressed. I’m not sure if Rachel has any formal media presentation training ,but she presents these videos as well, if not better than people with 20 years experience and the videography and editing is extremely professional as well . In the past I’ve had to do a couple video presentations, and I was awful and it’s a lot harder than it seems , so I applaud all that are involved in putting these videos together.

I really needed this a few years ago. When you would try to slightly raise the 3pt on my 75 3400, it would keep going up and either bind at max height or pop at max height and come back down. It was a ride when you had a heavy implement on the back! It was the 'up and down spool' sticking just like you said! I called the local shops and they had not a clue what I was talking about... Funny (not) that you knew that issue existed and none of the local shops did.
That oring you pointed to at 17:13 isnt on fords drawings that I could find but I stuck an oring there anyway, glad I did!
Your videos are great. Its hard to find good videos for these old tractors.

Love the old Ford tractors. You and your Dad so well together . I've always liked to replace as manny parts as possible when I'm digging in deep that way I'll fix todays problem and maybe a future problem that would other wise make me have to tear back into it again...Prevention maintenance is a wonderful time saver I've bought from your web site in the past loved it...These old Fords are tough. I just bought a Ford 2000 tractor 1963 with power steering Select- speed garage kept from the original owner on a 2 1/2 acres farm with 1100 hours and still has the original factory tires....All I can say is built tough....

Awesome video. Mine was drifting down under load. Ended up being a stuck unloader valve and I think the relief valve was bad. I rebuilt the pump while I had mine apart. Mine had be done improperly before I bought the tractor and every linkage was musadjusted, so it took some work to get it back working. I used your jubilee top cover video to guide me and it helped immensely. Thank you for the help.

Thanks to you, I dared to put my hands in the lift, which suffers from various small problems. But with your channel, it already seems much easier. Thank you very much for all your advice and explanations, which are a bible, much more than the workshop manual. It is unfortunate that you do not ship outside of North America. Because some parts cannot be found in Europe, even in the United Kingdom. If it helps people, the Massey Ferguson 35 and 42's upper lift arms fit on the Fordson Dexta and Super-Dexta.

Rachel it was great watching you and your dad working together. I bought new injectors from your sight ,my dad and I performed the job on our Ford 2000 with great results. Now it starts easer, no smoking and has great power at lower RPM. I watched your video first and that made the job easy as pie! I ordered another set for our Ford 3600. but first we have a problem with the lift in that the arms don't start coming up until you move the lever all the way against the top stop and the draft leaver is froze up. We pulled the top lid and fond that some of the rollers are not rolling on there shafts and starting to form flat spots on the roller. I wish you to make a recommendation on parts ,tips, video, I can buy from you guys. Thanks for all you do.

      @@franciscofaria7446 Hello.
You need a combi oil for both hydraulics and wet breaks.
      I guess I used about 10-15 litres.
Fill oil and fill until oil comes out from the level-plug on the right side.
      Best regards from Johan

Great explanations but remember to speak with a speed that most people can handle even without being born in a English speaking nation. I personally is not born in USA or UK but I do understand Rachel and also her dad very well. Again it is you Americans that really makes things so easy by explaining so clearly what to do and how to do it with the real parts in front of you.
I have a Ford 4000, 1969 (year make) with Perkins (3 sylinders). Its very important to change the diesel filter in time and to clean out the diesel tank is wise to some times and I like that DG and RG can show how this best can be done and what to use for the cleaning job without taking out the tank. What parts is it in it when opening the tap at the bottom of the tank. It is said that there is a strainer there that should be cleaned. It is good to inform what people will find there depending on what year make of Ford 2000 - 4000 they actually have. What is best of Motor Oil Quality and where to buy it. I think 15W-40 mineral Oil SAE is the best but can use another quality for the cold months. I like to get this enlightened on your channel. Thanks a lot!

I could use some one on one help. I know nothing about tractors but watching u has helped me alot I bought my 1st tractor 1984 ford 4000 I did everything like u did and I had a leak because I replaced gaskets on both sides to lots of leaks tractors not taken care of. Any way the tube from the pump to the pto flow valve the tube just started leaking I drove tractor without seat on it after I fixed leak no more leaks at all. I hired a so called Mechanic and he took a lot apart I did not see well left over was this long bolt and after watching your videos I found it went to hold down the back part of the seat mount put it in then I drove it up on trailer and oil was going all over took the bolt out and it slowed down the oil so I raised my 3 point and my bucket and I had about 1/2 gallon to much fluid in it. The tube everyone says the u can replace the bottom o ring but not the top o ring I do not want to take back apart I am disabled with uncureable spine Disease and a lot of other things on good days I do stuff then I hurt myself and down for a week or 2 I have all tools need I have built many hotrods mostly chevy motors I hate for auto motors because nothing in interchangeable. Any way that tube is leaking from the top. I am so mad I am thinking about selling it I have put so many new parts and the carbon build up on stock manifold was so hard and built up u could not get a pencil in the Exhaust hole on the head so I had to take slug hammer and chisel and break it off them I cleaned out the cylinders never looked at valves because I did not take head off was going to have head rebuilt this last winter but never got leak fixed and the guy I hired in August would work maybe 10 minutes here hour here and so on its been down for a while now. Can u help me I have pictures but it's the top o ring and I am trying to think of a way to fix without taking all the way back apart. Anyway I can get number to call u or someone my number is 417-848-1826 I would really like to have a repair manual but can't find one I can afford would love to have a book not a CD but I will take what I can get. I sleep a lot because of all the nerve pain I am in so if u call and I don't answer please leave a message. I need help in a bad way. Please and thank you

Thank you Rachel and Dan! I want to ask your advice on my (new to me, my first tractor) 1967 Ford 3000, having possible 3-point hitch hydraulic lift issue: Lift only wants to be all the way up or all the way down, and is very sensitive to inputs from the lever, it’s not smooth, going up or down and I can’t really set it to heights in between those two extreme positions very well. Any ideas on what this might be? Appreciate any input you may have!

Hi! I ordered your remounting kit for the hydraulic pump and it arrived perfectly. Thank you. I do have a question though. I am chasing a chatter/shudder problem when my three point lift "lifts" upwards. It drops down nice and smooth. At one point in this video when you are showing the two valves on the table, I think you say that the larger relief valve may possibly cause this kind of shuddering/chatter. But then later from underneath when that valve is being removed it's mentioned if it's failing the whole lift mech may not work. If it's possible that it can cause the chattering, I will order that next. Is that possible it can be doing that? Thanks!!

Rachel, have you or will you put up a video on replacing the oil pump on Ford 3000 tractors?

Great video! Curious if the Fordson Dexta has same hydraulic system. It looks very similar.

Yes and no. The hydraulic pump is a vain pump on right side below the draft control leaver. Make sure your piston is an "O" ring type or gland seal Fordson Dextas used both. I ordered a seal kit from Amazon and still had to order a gland seal.

Hi you have great knowledge and I have a question. I'm doing research for my nephew who has a 1972 ford 1000. His hydraulic control valve is not working and he wants to rebuild it but can't find parts, gaskets, O ring. Do you any sources or another valve that would work. Thanks for your time.

Nice video, thank you so much. I have a troublesome 5030 it's not lifting the three point system. It uses both internal piston and two more lift rams. What could be the cause? *NB: it's a 97 model
