Desi Foxsplains the News is absolutely my favorite segment of hers, too. So funny, and illuminating.
Klepper's show was so well done and soo under appreciated.
Love everyone but I wish they bring Roy back to guest host too. I miss him and his presence in this group.
No that's his choice to leave.
He chose to leave when John returned.
He left before there was a plan and before he knew John was coming back. He got tired of waiting for Comedy Central to figure their stuff out.
@@notoriouslybratty It's sad that Roy left but imagine if Roy stayed, how fun it could've been.
Roy wanted to be the host. Someone decided it wasn't gonna happen. So he left. He could have been... but what's done is done.
I knew Jordan's favorite segment would be jan 6. His work was amazing! Took a lot of balls
"I'm a little nervous about the upcoming debate" 😅 You had very good reasons to be.
The need for attention is strong but you can tell they are normal people.
Glad to know they are living their current dream and thank you for making "The Daily Show" what it is. It's something not just the USA but the world needs to keep us humble and laughing at our stupidity till we change for the better.
There is soo much growth to be done by everyone to better the world for everyone.
I love them all but i miss Roy Woods jr
31:44 "America's words, not mine!"😂😂😂
Jordan is my favorite but you are all great. I’m working on my dead inside until November. Thank you for all of your humor!
Such a fantastic group! I love them all.
Miss ROY!!!!
Saw Desi on 2 & half men at the bar with Charlie - and I was like Whaaaaaaaaaaat? She's swesome. Love Jon and the team - Klepper can easily take over one day.
Jordan and Michael from Michigan!!
I would be a bit pissed if I were hosting a show for more than a year, but everybody just wants to talk about how great it must be that Jon is back - once a week.
I’d be excited to have the GOAT and creator of my job and genre to have their moment
Without a doubt, Klepper's favorite episode won by a mile. 🤣
Ronny Chieng using a reusable water bottle with a Nora from queens sticker and calling out kosta… iconic
"This is going to be the most cringe worthy debate that we ever had in American history. Period." - Michael Kosta BEFORE the debate. So we all knew it folks. Why did the "news" and some Dems immediately focus on Biden's performance (following Fox narrative) and not tRump's gaslighting and non-stop lies?
BIDEN 2024!
"He invented the genre of managing jokes at a news desk" - love him, but this drives me nuts. Weekend Update has been on for 50 years.
Chevy Chase is turning in his grave
@@calibby85wait! When did Chevy Chase die??
This was a joke
This hour has 22 minutes in Canada started 3 years before, which is almost the exact same format as the daily show (not a skit within another show) Having said that Jon Stewart is the best at it by far. I have never ceased to be impressed by his comedy and ability to clearly communicate his thoughts. I'm not an American but I absolutely treasure his voice.
@@nathanfry991 and Not Necessarily the News was great, too
Keep producing this kind of content.
Fun interview!
Solid crew right here
Excellent video. Have to say Jordan Klepper's outfit/suit for some reason reminds me of UK school uniform
26:00 Desi calling Fox News Manic gave me closure!!! I just appreciate her verbalizing it in such a relatable way
Where is ROY???
Michael Kosta is so funny
You all need to pick on the news media more like Jon Stewart. He's the only one who makes real journalists think about whether their reporting will be mocked on The Daily Show.
Did Dolce Sloan leave?
I hope not.
She is on tour😍
And what happened to Hassan Manaj? Loved him.
@@skittle678Netflix said his time was up. Probably because he kept dissing corporations who are now vital partners for Netflix's Ad business.
@@skittle678Sadly, last year there was a New Yorker article about him and how he fabricated parts of his stand up specials. That revelation took him out of the running. However, he just announced he's doing an online show called Hasan Minhaj Doesn't Know, so he's sort of back.
Love this Crew… Should’ve been Samantha Bee and then Roy Wood Jr. - Jon Stewart had his time…
One of the most brilliant moments of TV and everything else was when the cast of It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia swapped with The Daily Show for an episode.
Huh? What are you talking about?
@@covertpetersen2573 You can see me?
53:46 In the last 30 seconds, he messed up Jordan KLEPPER's name.
yo, thought the same.. maybe he's not such a fan after all
Getting confused with Johannes Kepler doesn't sound too bad
Desi missed the brown shoe memo?
Jon has a following his views are highly respected, (I know he would say it's only comedy, but even he doesn't believe that); so I want to see a little less effort to be "balanced". This is not the time for balance- this is time for fighting authoritarianism. I'd like him to bring his intellectual rigour and his incisive satire and use his platform to get in the fight. His crew are awesome and I appreciate the extent to which Klepper calls MAGA out and Desi calls FOX out- well done team. Oh, and Jordan- with the greatest respect, the job is not to debate, or even to communicate off the cuff to the American people- the job is legislation, international relations, and leadership- the job is to run a country. If the job was just to communicate, you would be President.
I didnt watch the debate because i knew it was going to be cringe, from both sides. And I sure am glad i didn't watch based on what folks have said since. 😅
Jordan is not going to like the results of the debate.
👍👍👍👍
I miss Trevor! 😢
Remember Craig Kilborn
Where has Dolce been?
Man, Kleppers hopes for the debate were crushed!
Ronnie Cheng is high
Banned 900 books? This guy needs to learn how to please himself at home like a normal person. Sheesh! Idle hands amirite???
Can we talk about the gender fashion disparity ? Look at these guys wearing the same suit and button up shirts… and look at the beautiful dress desi is wearing. It’s not fair, I want to dress pretty like her. I want options.
I really think if the only accessories men had weren’t guns and cars we would be in a better place.
I don't care what other people are or are not wearing, so go ahead and wear whatever you like.
Jon shouldn't have come back. He was great, but give other folks a chance.
I disagree. I used to watch Colbert almost exclusively. Since Jon came back on Mondays, I’ve been watching the Daily Show much closer to daily. Jon is a draw because he is biting and brilliant. But having the others trading the hosting desk duties around has been an unexpected pleasure, and one I might not have experienced otherwise. I think Jon IS “giving others a chance”, just in a different way.
@@DawnDavidson I disagree. For example, when he left, Samantha Bee should have been at the desk permanently. Then, when Trevor left, they should have picked one person. He came back to make sure they didn't.
I disagree, but only because they still hadn't picked a host. It looked like Hasan was going to get it, but once that New Yorker article blew up his chances, they were back to square one. I think Jon coming back allowed them a moment to breathe, reset and focus on the election. At the same time, it allows the news team to develop themselves a bit more as hosts, versus personalities on the show.
Best not to watch the sausages being made.
I disagree entirely, but feel free to look elsewhere if you prefer. :)
