the reason why I asked about the VR was because obviously most ppl are not using them in daily races... I was rammed right into the wall 3 races in a row last night in daily race B... every time when I made my move on the inside coz the person in front of me went wide, he just made a hard turn and rammed me into the wall... 3 races in a row... so it is more of a question of "should we even bother using VR on daily races?" as most players don't give a fk and would just turn right into you ... then they actually thought I was the dirty one and revenged on me with his suicidal attack on the next turn... so they would murder me either way lol even I see them in VR, they won't see me... that's seemed a little pointless 🤔
He’s always bringing me back into the game. It’s so difficult for me, but I feel like I’m always learning something new from these videos that make me a better driver.
Yes indeed. A prober racer. He didn't act childish and raced fair to the end. Also he was very good at keeping his lines and absorbing pressure from a faster driver behind. Even though Super GT managed to find a line MCHerman never really made any big mistake so also great racing from Super GT for finding a way to get that line and win. But i think Scot Speed gave him that extra ability. 😋
MCHerman did amazingly well. You were clearly faster, but he was very consistent and defended well and cleanly, with just that 1 mistake. Props to him 👏
holy shit, I was in Super GT's 100th win. Glad I saved the replay! Was obviously miles off the pace, but one more thing ticked off the bucket list. Keep up the great content!
I dont even own GT7 nor do I own a Playstation but I keep coming back to these vids. Sometimes even falling asleep while watching older Super GT vids on my phone
So happy they finally added Grand Valley, it was always my favorite original track. I think GT7 is also one those things where it's like I was disappointed in it, I hated it, then I later found myself genuinely enjoying it. I think time trials is where it really shines.
I race a Porsche 911, and we call it trailing throttle oversteer. Once you overcome your natural tendency to mash the brake, the car will rotate on corner entry, and you reintroduce throttle when the nose is pointing at the apex. If done well, your exit speed at corner track-out is way above a front engine car. It is not for the fainthearted, and many Porsches leave the track rear first.
Having watched you for a long time now, i have come to expect of you to be a driver who hates drifting in any way, shape or form, so it's very nice to see you driver proper for once, in a car that does it well!
When you're launching if you press the throttle Less than half way it won't spin the wheels and Redline as quick and you'll actually get to build up torque in 1st and then 2nd it feels slower but its alot quicker especially with rwd models.
Super GT when a road course is fun in road vehicles. This is immediately the type of vehicle I imagined driving around here due to California mountain driving culture.
Bro really likes this track ever since it was aanounced, soon he will do a 12 hr race, then a youtube vs twitch race, then a wr, then he will find the best car for, after that, he will form feelings he never knew he had eventually getting pansexual for this track, download everg mod for it on every game possible, recreates in fh5 qnd trackmania, retire just to play it, and on his deathbed he sees a picture of the payout one, past, time. Steve mutters his final words " the shadow realm has consumed me, but I will see by the finish line,". Cause of death, not enough sunlight
You know you're old when you remember this track being pixelated, Garbage was playing as the soundtrack, and RUF was the loophole to driving a Porshe in the game.
I feel like the guy at the end there was fighting his inner demons on that straight. He ultimately won against the urge to send you to the shadow realm.
Ive had loads of fun with this race, reminds me of simpler times in the 360/ps3 days I'd love them to replace DR A with a random track/car combo that changes every 30 mins.
On April 1st or something you should use the motion control for the PS5 controller on some of the races and show yourself steering with it, Mario Kart style. It'd be a fun video!
while it's not the _original_ Widow Maker, the 993 definitely has that same lineage.. I must say, the level of "relatable realism" in GT7 is pretty astounding, it's nice to watch it controlled by someone who genuinely understands how vehicles move.. thanks Steve! :D completely random thought: it would've been cool if your _other_ other personality was named "Speedy Scott"... (:
9:20 yeah man thats why i prefer, and love gt7 infinitely times over than acc. acc is only group racing (bar mods) whereas gt7 you can jump in SO many older cars and truly feel them (especially vr2) and its so much more of a driving experience, sometimes you dont need to be group racing gt3's to enjoy driving.
Scott Speed with incredible scenes. I bet he grew up around that location on the west coast of the US. He knows that road well. Didnt have to rush the win.
Rumor has it in the city of Daytona that Sebring and Homestead-Miami was also digitized by the PD team when they worked at Daytona, Road Atlanta and Watkins Glen. These five circuits are jointly owned by the France family that owns IMSA and NASCAR. Take it with a grain of salt.
Daily Race A is where the real fun is - when there's no tuning. Different car to learn every week. So much more diversity than the usual Gr4/3 races with the same meta cars week after week. Just sad that it doesn't count toward your DR/SR anymore.
I had a blast playing this game while I was home for a week recovering from dental surgery. First time I ever finished a game and saw the credits at the end.
Nothing beats immersion of Assetto Corsa with proper mods + a high end VR headset like Varjo or Pimax Crystal, I tried both and PSVR2 and damn it's like 720P display vs 4K I'm not even joking
There's an amazing video of a guy racing a classic 911 at the Nordschleiffe in real life and he's just sliding the car at pretty much every corner. It's quite a show!
Did my very first sport mode races on that daily race A this week, and despite being in a very low ranking lobby, the races were clean most of the time. No carnage, a bit of door banging here and there, been punted twice, not so bad. My qualifying lap was in the 1'21 which put me between 1st and 4th place on the grid depending on the other players. Maybe it helped me avoid more carnage behind ? Loved this combo and gonna race it again tonight. I'll try to slide a bit more the car, as I was trying to prevent slides at all cost until now.
I feel like Daily Race A has some of the best racing. The worst for me has to be whatever the GT3 race is that week. Just absolute chaos, everyone punting/being punted. Maybe it's different when you have a higher driver rating though.
Just did this race for my first gt7 online race, also used my vr2. Started p1 by studying this video. Had massive mistakes, probably 8 seconds of penalties but finished p3! Not bad imo.
MCHerman has my vote for president. Every fiber of his being was just telling himself to, fence you. But he swallowed his pride and cried real manly tears as you drove past on the outside for the win!
Lots of comments about VR! Don't worry, I haven't given up on it - I have a very cool video in the pipeline!
Steve, you tend to post your videos when it's 1 AM for me, so I can basically never be early

I love the simple content. Just a few races with SuperGT commentating. With his dry humor it‘s perfect.

True, captivated.
He’s always bringing me back into the game. It’s so difficult for me, but I feel like I’m always learning something new from these videos that make me a better driver.
Yes sir
the pinnacle of humanity
Salutes to MCHerman, that was a clean drive from both of you.
One of the more enjoyable races I've ever seen on this channel
Yeah. Kudus to that dude. So many people would've just blatantly slammed the door there.
He saw it slipping away and took it like a champ
If I was to lose to anyone it’d be him with respect
Yes indeed. A prober racer. He didn't act childish and raced fair to the end.

The rate at which Super GT is uploading is absolutely rapid
Some would say it's quick.
Just like his driving
And you can only love to see it
Shows he’s enjoying the game!
Incredible scenes
It went from "What is sportsmanship?" to actually having true sportsman manners at the end. Such scenes from Super GT, now wait for Momoz to show up
That final battle against the American was intense. What a finish
MCHerman did amazingly well. You were clearly faster, but he was very consistent and defended well and cleanly, with just that 1 mistake. Props to him 👏

Actually I believe that was Scott Chegg, not Super GT. 😁😁
That guy at the end had amazing consistency but caved to the pressure of the last lap. Good race to the both of you
I wouldn't say he caved. He never made any big mistake. Even at then end is more like Super GT found a way than MCherman losing it.
Man, these videos are so satisfying to watch...with any car, Steve's channel is without a doubt one of the best

Keep watching people closely while they are driving you can actually see what they are thinking
TY Steve for brilliant race craft. I've learned so much watching you drive.

QUE CORRIDA PILOTAGEM E VÍDEO INCRÍVEL! parabéns super GT ótimo trabalho
This version of the circuit is quite a bit harder than the full one imo.
Agree
3:22 One day a master says "Turn left to go right"
Congrats on win 100 Steve! That Win/Race ratio is insane.
Also, I’m gonna add to the requests for more VR content. Keep it up man!
It would be great to see more vr contents, especially online races
Videos are absolutely wicked! Had me laughing the entire time man 😂 the guys veering off into walls got me a couple of times. Great vid!!!
Totally agree with you on this race A. Great fun driving the car around the track. Same with the Imprezas the other week
the best Gran Turismo RUclipsr. No BS , just racing

MCHerman, a true gent

It did
You know you're old when you remember this track being pixelated, Garbage was playing as the soundtrack, and RUF was the loophole to driving a Porshe in the game.

I've had some great races in 'Race A'. I loved 💘the Mono races a couple of weeks ago, really close respectful racing with gentlemen racers.
MCHerman showed sportsmanship by not crashing into you at the end there. Although he was getting closer and closer to you lol.
That last race was intense well done fun to watch.
SuperGT must have fell in love with GT all over again or somthing. posting so much
Congrats to Scott, love your driving mate, keep it up !
When I tell my grandchildren all of the stories about Scott Chegg, they will think I'm lying or senile.
Tried this race once, got punted off at the last corner by someone that didn’t brake at all then was called an idiot. 10/10 would race again.
What a nice video. Really great content and mix of race, skills and a car to this track. Another great video as always, get in there Steve

Good stuff, nice racing! This car is such a looker as well. It is beautiful. Personally I prefer this perspective over VR.
