fun fact: Heimdall can see memories when looking at individuals, so when he say kratos in the eyes before he died, he say the memories of every single god kratos killed. Kratos is a monster and he absolutely knows that but his story is of one sympathy, destruction, pity, hatred and love all expressed by him and the player, it's a story showing even monster or wildest of animals have a heart/soul thoughts dreams hopes, only a monster would abandon thier daughter to save the world, but only a monster would let the world burn to be with thier daughter, he's constantly inside the trolley problem and has always tried his best to pick what he thought was best, he is a monster but better you yourself be a monster then someone you might not be able trust/see the true intentions of, Kratos is a simple character he wants peace but gets shoved into problems no one could pick the correct answer for that's the best monster in my opinion

the whole "monster" term. Fits so well to be the response for Odin in that dialoge. Through the entire Nordic arc we've been repeted that Kratos still has a monster inside. Athena, Freya, Heimdall and Odin even if he was reflecting himself called Kratos a monster. That is what could've been if Atreus didn't came back. To this point Kratos has not passed the Valhalla point where he wouldn't do it if he lost everything again. That points happens when Kratos decides to be better during Ragnarok. If something happend before that point. If Atreus died. The whole Yggdrassil would've been the victim of a past God. The Monster God.
The only Kratos I enjoyed escaping with is the rage filled, vengeance seeking one. Those were fun and brutal games to escape from the real world for a while. I hope to see more of those in the future.
