      They have faded though. I think the ashes fading are a representation of his character growth. So maybe in the next game he might start to look like how he looked back in the original god of war before he killed his family.

      @@thegoldenbrickstone I'm basing what I know of Helios on what little we see of him before all this.
      In the Chains of Olympus ending, he has like 10 seconds of talking time, and he was very formal talking about him even going "should we help him?" when talking to Athena.
      In GOW3, the gods are already all messed up by Pandora's box, but when Kratos takes him down he still shows gratitude to Kratos and admits he owes him for saving him in CoO.
      He only turns sides when he realizes Kratos wants the Flames of Olympus, knowing what Kratos plans (kill all gods/destroy Olympus/kill Zeus) it's reasonable that he immediately tricks him.

Not to mention him cursing Kratos' mother so that if she told anyone about Zeus she'd turn into a monster. The box just amplified what was already there.

      @@teezy1234 so you're telling me Zeus wasn't afraid of the marked warrior before Kratos opened the box? If so why did he have Deimos kidnapped and tortured? Zeus loved himself some good torturing, whether it be Deimos or Prometheus or through the Furies for the oathbreakers. Let's not forget the entire plot of the prequel God of War comics was the gods creating plagues at various levels to "motivate" their champions in the search for Ambrosia. Ares infects Sparta with a plague that Calliope suffers from as well. Poseidon brings a plague to an entire island. Hades puts Alrik's (the Barbarian king) father into a coma. Other gods like Artemis and Hermes do similar things for their wager. So no, the gods weren't good before Kratos opened the box. They were always insufferable assholes. Some might've been good like Athena but the majority were still horrible. Kratos was also a horrible person.

    I never noticed how the animation studio gave those typical greek facial features to helios... meaning those seen in artworks or statues, such a nice detail 😊👌
    TBH, I was just focused in him (or rather, kratos' perspective of him) being completely angry at kratos 😅😂

    The valhalla DLC actually seemingly proven the fate of greece as rebuilding but probably fine by now.. remember most goddesses are still alive ranging from Artemis up to Hestia.. Tyr even acknowledged it "even after years of rebuilding" meaning the greeks still remembers and tells the tale of how he ripped his head off as they rebuilt hahaha

    I love how Helios is like the one god who did basically nothing to Kratos and got killed because it was convenient.
    It’s prefect for Kratos to be faced with him in this place that forces him to confront his past cruelties

    Everyone seems to forget that Helios was trying to lie and manipulate Kratos into stepping into the flame of Olympus. An act Helios knew would kill Kratos, even though Helios stated moments beforehand that he would repay the debt he owed Kratos in full. Even though Helios' death was morbid, it was still deserved for such an oath breaker.

    What's interesting is that what you believe or manifest in Valhalla becomes reality if you will is strong enough. Its why Týr got his arm back, why Kratos can summon the Blade of Olympus at near full power even outside Valhalla etc.
    So, for all we know, Helios , like Athena, may very well be haunting Kratos out of spite lol
