God of War is an action-adventure hack and slash video game developed by Santa Monica Studio and published by Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE). First released for the PlayStation 2 on March 22, 2005, the game is the first installment in the God of War series and the third chronologically. Loosely based on Greek mythology, it is set in ancient Greece with vengeance as its central motif. The player controls the protagonist Kratos, a Spartan warrior who serves the Olympian gods. The goddess Athena tasks Kratos with killing Ares, the God of War and Kratos' former mentor who tricked Kratos into killing his wife and daughter. As Ares besieges Athens out of hatred for Athena, Kratos embarks on a quest to find the one object capable of stopping the god once and for all: Pandora's Box.
God of War is an action-adventure video game series, the first era of which was loosely based on Greek mythology. Debuting in 2005, the series became a flagship title for the PlayStation brand and the character Kratos is one of its most popular characters. The series consists of nine games across multiple platforms; the first seven make up the Greek era of the series. Five of the Greek era games have been re-released through three separate compilations for the PlayStation 3 (PS3) platform: God of War Collection (2009), God of War: Origins Collection (2011), and God of War Saga (2012). With the exception of God of War III in the God of War Saga, each collection features remastered ports of the games that were not originally released on the PS3. God of War III was later remastered as God of War III Remastered and released on PlayStation 4 (PS4) in July 2015. God of War: Betrayal, God of War: Ascension, God of War (2018), and God of War Ragnarök are the only installments that have not been remastered for a newer platform or included in a collection.

This massive desert was so ahead of its time. Absolutely breathtaking scale in god of war 1 that later games dont match to. 2 would be my favorite entry but the feel of a huge world is nailed best in this game.
This Cronos is much bigger than the one Kratos fought in GOW 3.
Actually, he's th same size. It's th pandora's temple, which is still chained onto th back of cronos as he fights kratos in gow 3, that is much smaller in size than th 1 shown in th 1st game, but is also shown to be more damaged n decayed than it did originally
Hard to say,although Titans can alter their size as well.
Cronos literally fought his father who was bigger than a universe so i assume his dad got smaller and cronos bigger so they could fight properly

@@newhybrid101 according to stig asmussen, cronos is 1,600 feet tall. Hwvr, official sony documents state cronos to be 40 feet taller than this, 1640 feet tall or 500 meters. His actual game model seems to be even bigger, towering at over roughly 604.367 meters

@@ronakjoshi332 he’s stronger than young kratos. Gods get stronger as they age. Plus devs confirmed he would demolish young kratos even if young kratos had his powers.

Took him 3 days to climb Cronos in this one, but he was running circles around him in GOW3, it shows you how powerful Kratos became.
He did have hermes boots as well

@@kalb390 they did have something to do with his ability to fight cronos, we just don’t actually see him using them like with Helios head
@@abrahamrosales878 Stop making things up, it's never mentioned that he used them against Cronos anywhere. If you read the novels you'll know that Kratos doesn't use his entire equipment in every fight, some items/magic he has are only used a couple times in canon.

You know what's neat? In this game Kratos blows a horn to summon his grandfather Knonos to fetch an important item (Pandora's box)
In God of War (2018) he blows a horn to summon his grandson Jørmungändr to retrieve Mimir's other bifrost eye from his insides

Juegazo soy del 97 básicamente crecí con la play 1 y 2 recuerdo que mi padre me compro amo y amis hermanos la play2 aya en sus momentos estelares y recuerdo exactamente cuando fui junto a el a comprar este juego el mismo me lo avía mencionado decía que era muy entretenido y que me gustaría no se equivocó mi padre recuerdo todo como si fuera ayer cada ecena del god of war 1 me da demasiada nostalgia pero también felicidad para mí el 1 y 2 los mejores de toda la saga entera hasta la nórdica nunca volverán al origen siempre pasa pero que bueno aver conocido crecido jugado esto en su más puro estado recuerdo que todavía ni se chipeaban tanto las consolas o no era muy conocido y era algo que generaba desconfianza así que adquiri la pieza original y bueno lo demás es historia

In GoW 1 Kratos has to traverse the massive temple that's on Cronos back
