I had a 93 that was exactly the same. Sunroof and all except mine was an automatic. I loved it. Oh and the hood scoops are 100% functional. That's where the intake gets its cold air from.
Idk why this video got recommended, but i like it. Z24's are really cool, imo. I always liked them, even though we didn't get them in europe. They will pick up in value for sure. Even the car i have, which is far more common, if i wanted to buy one today, it would be unaffordable for me, besides unattainable. I got Golf MK3 Syncro 2.0L hatchback, which is the rarest version of the Syncro. Most of them came either VR6, 1.8L or the wagons which nobody cares about and they haven't picked up in value that much yet. If i were to sell mine right now, it would probably sell for 3x for how much i paid for it. It's almost full option too. Only missing the Nokia DSP and dealership-exclusive accessories. Why am i saying this? Because your also has a dealership option, the sunroof, which are exceedingly rare. In 5-10 years from now, i anticipate the Z24's to go for at least 30k. This is what happened to the Eclipse GSX, S13/S14, M3 E36/E46 and many others. It started happening to the Golfs too. A few years ago i had to pick between my Golf and a 500€ VR6. And i picked mine because of the rarity and the crazy amount of factory options. Nowadays a VR6 goes for 10k or more, which is a WILD bump in price. It's just insane how the cars i grew up with and always wanted to have appreciated so much in price that i can't afford them anymore. At some point, i will probably have a Z24 Cavalier too, but right now, the ones imported here are mad expensive. Like, 10k+ for the convertible which nobody wants, to put it in perspective. Couldn't even find a coupe for sale.
"Who would've thought the 1991 Cavalier Z24 still holds up as a good car? 🚗💨 It's a classic gem, and your insights showcase its enduring qualities. Cheers to the timeless charm of the Cavalier Z24! 🌟 #ClassicCars #TimelessBeauty"
The '91 was my first car. But the sunroof was badly damaged, found that out on a rainy day. My cousin and I fiberglass it shut. But you said joking about the engine...did you get to open it on a highway or something? Or did i buy a sleeper without knowing, cause i was giving a lot of racers headaches with my car 😂. Think of initial d vibe 🤷🏾♂️...Anyways had a lot of fun and memories with that car...

I still have my 1993 z24 convertible. Five speed also. Just over 225k
Currently work on my project 87 Z24 5 speed.
And yes, they are increasing in popularity and are getting difficult to find.
Thanks, nicely done.
