You nailed it, I think - I haven't played this yet, but my main concern about buying it is the look, because the way that it plays seems really clever, which is right up my alley. Do I want an ugly, but good game in my collection though when I have Calico and Paris: City of Lights already (not comparable in mechanics, but great as two player games with wonderful looks)
I gotta say, I’d love to play this game but $27 on Amazon when a game like azul is $30? Lookout’s production just really keeps me away from some games. I’ll grab it if I can find it cheap like I did Mandala but I’m not paying that much for what’s in the box.
I’m surprised by such high ratings here. I really didn’t think this game did anything that special. Mandala has a much better tension and strategy space than this game has.
They’re just different sub-genres. Mandala is a hidden-information card game with some luck, this is a prefect-information abstract strategy game with no luck. Like Zee said, totally makes sense to like one and not the other. Just depends on your gaming preferences.
I did not believe that they could match Mandala. They did. Fabulous game.
Can you update your

I love this game! ❤️
My most played game at the moment. Prefer it to Mandala.
I know companies are trying to be green, but this game is crying out for some nice clunky poker chip pieces.
they are trying to cut cost, honestly speaking
It's sad that Zee was so down on the quality, I feel those words will stop people from buying and enjoying this fantastic game!
I lost my phone while watching this video. 😢
No way I expected that 8 from Zee based on the first half of the review.

Not Patchwork. I rate 4/10.
What? Crazy? Patterns is a great game.
looooool
Can’t believe they didn’t bring up this point.
Why so echoey?
It might be your device because it doesn't sound echoey to me.
I hope it's better than Mandala, not a great game IMO.
Mandala is one of the best 2p games out there
