Do you think Adderall and other ADHD meds are going to be the next miny epidemic?
yes and will/has contribute to the country's meth epidemic
Yep
Fentanyl is ,they put it in everything on the street I know 6 people of all different age groups ,walks of life now gone ,no second chances with fentanyl
YES IT’S ALREADY HERE
1 million percent it's just under the opioid addiction only because you die quicker from opioids
You nailed it bud talking about how Adderall makes you feel like you always will need it for even the smallest stuff like doing the dishes. It sucks and I’m just about to start my healing from Adderall addiction
Similar to Kratom. Except it hooks you like an opioid on top. When I did Adderall it was always very recreational and never had a problem with it, but kratom ended up taking over ever daily task and "mentality" you could have. It takes a while to even begin to comprehend being able to do something, especially work, without it as a crutch. It has a pretty strong dopamine hit on top of the opioid effect because it has stimulant alkaloids too, is why I presume.
My brother started taking it years ago to focus and finish college and stick to tasks…. His life has deteriorated ever since. He has really bad anxiety, he doesn’t socialize, he always has mood swings if he doesn’t take it and he has become an emotionless robot.
I’m currently out and have no energy to do anything but watch videos about Adderall
I’ve shared this video with a lot of people. Because the kids in the high schools in the area I live are just flooded with study drugs. Many of the teachers and other school employees are completely clueless about this. Thank you for the information. You’re doing an amazing job.
Thank you so much CL that means so much to me that you would share this to educate people. That is the whole goal thank you!!!
A truly miserable cycle. I started taking adderall during my first semester of law school…. I honestly don’t think I would have been able to finish law school without it, but now I can’t do anything without it. Being strung out Mon-Fri then not even being able to lift a finger on the weekends (I don’t take it on weekends). Wish I had never started it to begin with!
Tay wow that is so tru. I totally agree I don't think i would have finished college without it but like you said then we need it for everything. Can't you take a lower dose on the weekends to keep a little motivation because if you don't take it on the weekends your basically going through a mini withdrawal every weekend.
My heart clenched when you both shared the experience. 😢
Ya I feel for you. My ex gf did the same thing in law school. Watched her personality completely fade into the void. Everything I loved about her slowly disappeared. And it was the reason we broke up after 9 years.
I turned her into an isolated miserable person with the complete inability to experience joy.
I had a problem with it too. If you stop your life will get absurdly better after 2-4 weeks.
Your personality comes back rather quickly but natural concentration takes a little longer.
As long as your determined to beat it you can
@@holer-8581 i take Concerta for one month, and one year later i cant go back to myself, whats happening to me
It was prescribed to me in college. I still have trouble remembering things. It was only 10 years ago. I quit amphetamines 5 years ago and I still have some of the symptoms of adderall cessation. It scares me so much that I can't think about ever going back.
I take it for adhd inattentive type so it makes me focused but calm I can even sleep on adderall and I’m on from my psychiatrist adderall xr 20mg twice daily for some reason I don’t get energized I just wished ppl would only use it for adhd and not make an epidemic out of it so it ruins it for ppl who actually needs the drug like they did with the opioids
I have pretty close to the same story. I take 30 mg instant release spread out across a day. I have ADD ADHD Combination Type. Adderall doesn't make me "speed". If anything, haveing my thoughts organized is incredibly calming. I also can sleep after taking it. I try to organize my day so that doesn't happen as it seems a waste. Here it is Saturday, and I am all caught up on important tasks and ready to just chill. I have no impulse to pop one. I see your post is 6-months old. Fast forward to now and there is a massive Adderall shortage. I found out about it the hard way a couple months ago when I went to get a refill and every pharmacy in town was out. I had to go off it cold turkey for almost 2-weeks. Yeah, my symptoms rose to the top, but I didn't have any withdrawals whatsoever. I guess there is a neurological difference between needing it and taking it for all the wrong reasons. The stigma against Adderall is very high due to all the people taking it who should not be. It is unfortunate.
@@wjckc79William, I’m no doctor but based on your response I’d say you probably don’t need it. Because if your ready to chill on Saturday without it, I’d say you might not have adhd. You say you can sleep on it, but let’s say you take a 20 at 6pm. I doubt your sleeping at 10 without sleep aid’s. Not sure how long you’ve been on it but it’s a slippery slope. I’ve been taking it nearly 7 years on and off and I can tell you confidently that if you’re newer too it, you’ll benefit getting off sooner rather than later.
I hear a lot of ppl say that addicts ruin access to meds for everyone. That’s not the case. The doctors know these meds are addictive and prescribe them to as many ppl as possible to make as much profit as possible. A patient with a substance abuse disorder could actually be seen as more valuable than a regular patient because they have a much higher likelihood of being a “return customer.”
I have taken adderall for 10 years, FOR ten years!! I cant believe I am still alive today because of my abuse to it. The first time I took it was in college when studying for a FINAL. At the time, the drug made me feel ten times the person I was then. I was able to study, do a gym session, then make dinner for my self and family--I was limitless.
It helped me to be a better when I was on it, but the CRASH and withdrawal was unbearable. However, at year five, my body adjusted to it. I was able to get the ALOT done on just one extended tablet of 30mg a day. My mind and body figured it out, and it was/is the best life experience ive had to date. BUT with any drug, THERE was a crash. A really bad crash. My mind took a fall, and I have never been the same. I feel like my frontal lobes are completely burnt. My motivation is out the window.
I hope I find myself again :(
How long has it been since you came off it?
How is it now
Great video ... thanks for sharing.
This helps man. Much love from enagland
I’ve been on it for years… what’s crazy is a year ago I got out of a relationship and started working out hard once again. I never had terrible withdrawal symptoms, I believe due to my mind being distracted with the hurt from the breakup. After a month I felt better than I’ve felt in a long time. Clear headed, natural energy, confident, and hard working. For some reason I let myself back on it and once again feel like I’m in the spiral you describe. Worst thing is adderall makes all my other “issues” actual issues. Like I’m not much a drinker when I don’t take it, I also don’t need nicotine, and far less weed to get an effect. It’s a bummer us humans haven’t found a drug like addy that doesn’t come with all the negative side effects🥲 here goes my second journey quitting. Wish me the best… See you on the other side.
try cat playing from South Brazil KAT it's a cathenon just Eat the natural plant leaF
@funnycatvideos5490 why would you suggest this? Is there something wrong with you
Wow. This was the most accurate description of what i am going through with my Adderall addiction. The psychological effects and the endless awful cycle of needing to work to make money and then money going to get Adderall so i can work...etc. The fear of how i will be without Adderall is crippling, even though I know i have a serious problem and need to get off of it. I honestly feel like i would rather die than continue this endless battle between being on or going off it
Hey I know exactly how you feel. I can tell you it’s not easy but worth it to get help man. It will take time to rebuild your motivation and energy but that’s ok. You k ow it’s a problem and that the first step. Stay strong and reach out for help.
Was on the same misery cycle as you for 2 years and eventually reached a breaking point and said I don’t give a fuck if I’m low energy and unable to focus on anything for a month I need my life back.
I’m telling you man. You can beat it. Reach your breaking point. Hundreds of millions of people operate each day effectively without it. We can too
Life becomes amazing once your clean from it
You couldn’t have described the initial experience with Adderall better - I felt like Superman! Also, the tolerance building so fast is something that NEVER gets brought up by Doctors (and it’s a helpless feeling).
Joey exactly brotha. I feel like certain meds are super susceptible to increased tolerance very fast. And addys are one of em. I feel so bad for all the kids that are gonna have to come off these at some point.
@@Soberdogs Brother, I let this damn medication ruin my marriage….
All of the things I felt it was “giving to me” to help make me better was NEVER reality.
The reality is the amount of destruction I let it cause I’m my own life. 😔
@@Soberdogs, also…. THANK YOU. I love your channel and it’s prevented me from picking-up many, many times. Much love.
10-20mgs day is plenty. Cycle it 3 weeks on 1 week off or just use it 4 days week only, 3 days off.
Thank you for this. Hope you are well
Of course. Thank you for watching
Thanks for the insight, interesting that it takes a long time for the brain to reset. Glad you're in the clear now brother! God Bless.
Thanks so much Gold Fever. Yea it takes the brain awhile to regain that motivation. it sucks God Bless you as well.
Very relatable points. I remember in the last year of school there wasn’t a chance I would study without some kind of adhd pill. Then I’d sometimes go weeks of not doing homework or studying because I couldn’t find any or I was waiting for a package to come if I ordered online.
Such a waste being controlled like that!
Totally agree. Very relatable. Same here. When I couldn’t find it I would do anything.
Exactly Stan. You hit the nail on the head. When we ran out or couldn't find it nothing got done.
@@rugger2269 for sure man
Thank you so much for this!! Feels refreshing knowing someone shares my same exact experience
Love this channel 🔥❤
Thanks so much!!!!
One of the best videos!
Thank you so much!!!!
You're awesome and I promote sobriety. Sometimes you describe things that remind me of my addiction. The Adderall addiction. In your room vacuuming and smoking cigarettes, chewing tobacco 🤭 laundry, cleaning house, talking our asses off. You're on point
hahah yea that's exactly it omg those Addy nights or total Addy days and weeks hahah it was nuts but you get it. Im so glad your sober and doing so well. That's awesome
@@Soberdogs I'm glad you're sober and doing well and doing these videos. I am trying to gain knowledge, however, I can't help but to laugh out loud at some of the stuff you say 🤣 the way you describe some things. I bet you were fun to party with bc you're hilarious now. 😂 got a great personality 😊
Good video🤘🤘
After taking Adderall for several years I began to hallucinate, it got worse and worse until I finally quit.
I'm much better off without it!
How’s it going now?
Sadly I know exactly how you feel right now. When I first start taking it was great and I could definitely say it was giving me a boost in life but now it's taking over my life where I use my prescription in 2 weeks and I accomplished nothing because I'm just running around in circles. Not sleeping for 2 weeks straight basically. And stuff I would just do for my own enjoyment when I have nothing to do like playing video games I can't do without Adderall now, it's like I love the feeling of being so in the zone playing video games that playing video games without it isn't even fun anymore basically Adderall takes anything in your life, it takes it away from you... and absolutely a lot more than just video games.
yea Eric its insane Im not detoxing now just describing the past. So glad Im done with that sounds like you went through the same thing.
Dude this is so relatable…
I remember being on adderall and not able to eat but super thirsty and drinking alot of water on an empty stomach that made me feel horrible
Thank you for this video, I can relate although I did amphetamines not daily but regularly and often. I had my last dose of vyvanse - 4 70mg pills - yesterday, 24th of December. Had Christmas dinner with my family, a nightmare and hopefully a bitter aftertaste enough to keep me away...been a drug addict for 15 years. Not physically addicted since a long time but psychologically I'm hooked.
Wish I could like this twice. Exactly what it’s like.
Thanks king
Thanks man. I always wondered what it would feel like to be on Adderal and it would help right now with school but I don’t need the addiction part and to become reliant on something that I would always think about when i didn’t have it. I have a really addictive personality and it the last thing I need.
loud ass intro gawt damn my whole fam lookin at me crazy now 😂
Bro you nailed it. Absolute Truth when it comes to this drug
Thanks so much John. Yea I think we need way more education on Adderall and other stimulants. Society teaches us to be go getters and work 70 hrs and do all these things to never rest and then people find Adderall and get hooked causes they can work 70 hrs. but then end up needing more and more and then have a major crash.
I quit back in October and it was rough but i did it and actually felt normal after about 2 weeks. Started back in December-Jan for weight loss and sure lost the weight but now I decided to quit cold Turkey again because of the mental wear and tear it has on me. It’s started making me paranoid and sooooo anxious and depressed this time. So yep, on day 3. Feels crappy, but we gotta stop being a slave to this
This is so relatable the weight loss thing was such an underrated thing that I was affected by the most
Have a friend that's doing it illegally. He goes into a paranoia and his lasted almost 2 weeks. Took me a while to figure out what he was taken. Then I figured it out and he left it slip what he was taking to another person. It was and still is really stressful to me, because I really care about him.
Yeah I totally relate to everything this guy says
But what I learned is that it's going to take some time I guess I was in denial I'm two in of being off it and was thinking oh I'll be back to normal in the next day or two but it sounds like it's going to be awhile.
Adderall sounds just like pseudoephedrine which I used to take to study in college and perform at the workplace. What are your experiences with pseudoephedrine?
I knew this kid named Michael he was always on adderall (prescribed) since a young kid. He died about 6 years ago addicted to meth.
U eventually legit build a life that you can’t sustain without adderall. Then eventually the amount u have doesn’t work anymore.
I am addicted to adderall. I would love to talk with you about how we can collaborate and spread the awareness of this huge problem.
I'm superhuman on it, and superhuman off of it
SD: your describing the way Percocet made me feel! Sooo fucking happy I never tried this crap. Amazing what the drug Company’s are allowed to make for our youth..
Thanks for the share Bro!
yea for sure bro its crazy the drug companies have so much damn power
It's almost funny because it's not. Doctors literally are giving out meth to children literally fuckin meth almost identical chemical basis
Are there any groups that meet to discuss stimulant abuse?
I was only on 40mg per day. Doctor cut me off because I was having a bad crash when the Aderrall wore off. When I was cut off, it was brutal, but after one week, I was okay.
@stephaniewest8226 is this real I need some
Crazy how our story is so alike. It’s literally hell.
For real. It’s so nuts. Glad your doing alright
Document your journey. Keep a journal.
I wish I never started it. I regret it so much. I want to stop but it’s so hard when you are prescribed it every month .
Does it help you or make things worse for you ?
How long have you been doing this
Guys.
Reach a breaking point where your personal misery and self loathing is too much to bare anymore and leave this cruel poison behind.
Accept the fact that you will be lower energy and have a hard time focusing for a few weeks. But you will and can get your life back.
Your personality and ability to laugh comes back rather quickly.
You’re ability to focus takes a little longer but is not as bad as you think.
Be determined to cleanse your life of this evil dam drug and just ACCEPT that you will have a tough couple weeks
Having your life back is 1000000x worth it
I left concerta over a year ago, still i cant come back to be myself
That’s very tru. The Addie’s will ruin energy for a while but that’s ok
Amen!!!!
Absolutely. I’ve had to find ways to manage my life without it. It even got to the point that I couldn’t even talk to people without it. Such a lie.
swimcalgal ya man your not alone in that. You convince yourself that you need it to do literally anything.
💯 % on point my man
Having to come to terms with not being superman... Unfortunately! How long did it take for you from your first pill you ever took until your last?
Eva I took my first Adderall at 18 and my last at like 29 Yea its hard I guess it would be similar to coming off steroids.
Adderall is everyewhere in the business community. 40 years in business I've never seen it like it is now with young sales reps needed to take adderall everyday
Yea its crazy how much Adderall is in all professions
Although I know it's not funny, I had to laugh several times because of the way you described the whole process of getting addicted to it and this miserable lifestyle it becomes. Especially that you almost are forced to take other drugs to come down and being able to sleep for some hours. It just sucks so much.
I like being a sober dog :)
Damn dude you were on everything
Dude, five is a lot of concussions.
I wish you well, & also possibly a hard hat
Crazy thing is that they prescribe that to children
I also am sober from opiates for 11 years and have been prescribed Adderall for a cpl years but I don't take everyday because I am scared to get addicted ! I'm also on Xanax, Subutex and Gabapentin and suffer from manic bipolar, anxiety, ADD , and tou he's of agoraphobia and I feel like it helps when I take it but only take tiny pieces ! I'm not an upper person so would you recommend not continuing to take or just take like I do which is not everyday and only take 5 mg tops ?
How are you doing now?
It seems like the way you use it should not be a problem but you can judge yourself better then others.
So if youre scared its going to be a problem you should stop.
But 5mg is not a lot, and not enough to cause many problems unless youre super sensitive to it.
Only been taking it 4 months and was prescribed 30 mg a day. Already feel very dependent and like Shit on days I don’t take it bc of refill problems. I’m weening off it now
You can do it! Sending prayers.
Is funny how you can drink twice as much on addies..beat ones are the football orange30s and the capsule 30s
After 6 days I'm back to normal
then do you start taking them again or it just takes you 6 days to get everything out of your system? thats unique most people it takes months if not years.
How much were you taking per day?
im so glad i stopped using it 5 years ago, ill never touch the stuff again
It nearly destroyed me. I was stuck in a horrible cycle. I’m off 4 days again…. It made me so sick
It took me 4 months to get my life back together from adder-all, your story may be different. Mostly it’s a mental toll, excercise, go to a nutritionist, take sea moss, exercise, nature etc
It's not an addiction, if you are having severe adhd, and it helps you right?
@stephaniewest8226Only doctors should be giving out medications
Everything he said was true except for the recovery time part, speaking for myself anyway.
It ain’t overnight though either . Better to leave it alone go sure
I used to take adderall way back in thè day.....
I WAS ON 20MG......now i cant drink coffee or any caffeine or else I feel like im on aderall again! I try to fight my caffeine
Ive always had this, this couldve happened without adderal because your body changes every 10 years or so.
Coffee makes me feel very crappy and ive never been on adderal until 2 days ago.
Has. Anyone had this problem from adderall that they now have problems with caffeine......
I was prescribed 20xrs. If I took one-two, I would clean for hours. My ex wife and I, when we first met, had about 350 dvds and I alphabetized every one of them! If I took more than that, I felt stuck! It actually made me feel miserable, if that makes sense. I couldn't sleep, my blood pressure was critical, so I told my doctor I didn't want it anymore. Best decision I ever made! It was literally hurting me, because I didn't take, as I should.
i take 5mg and feel like im genuinely tweaking
Stay away if you can people. I’m going through withdrawal right now and honestly I don’t want to do shit
Dude, have you ever had a "Kratom monkey" on your back? If so can u reply back to me? Thanx. I am thinking that u havn't. Do ya have any umm info on that?
Been on Kratom for 6 years and desperately trying to get off it for the last 3 years. Been in outpatient rehab and detox 4 times in the last 2 years, longest I ever made it was 3 weeks, went into a horrible depression started aggressively abusing alcohol which landed me in a mental hospital for a week. Kratom has absolutely fucked my life and is continuing to do so. It was a lot easier for me to kick Oxy and methadone than it’s been to get off Kratom. I’ve been abusing adderall for the last 3 years on top of it. But I can tell you it’s way easier to adderall than it is to kick Kratom. Been trying to get into rehab for 2 years now but my insurance wouldn’t pay for it, Medicaid wouldn’t pay for it, and I don’t have $30K-$40K laying around to just pay for it myself. It’s fucking impossible to get any help for inpatient substance abuse treatment without good insurance. I feel trapped as fuck, it’s awful.
I seriously 100% feel for you and anyone else’s life it’s ruined. I wouldn’t wish drug addiction on my worst enemy. We just gotta keep our head up and keep trying, I seriously don’t know what the fuck else to do, I’ve literally very seriously thought about intentionally getting myself locked up for sick months just to keep myself away from it long enough for the post-acute withdrawal to fade so I can actually achieve sobriety. Fuck! 🤦♂️
@@wiggity77 how are you doing now?
I’ve been on Adderall for 12 years. Started at 10mg. Now prescribed 80mg a day, which is the legal limit. Never take more than prescribed, I know I can’t have more. When you actually need that much, for so long, you lose the bursts of energy. I take 30mg at 5 am so I can get out of bed by 7am. I’m an introvert who works at home, so I’m not super energetic or talkative. It just gets me to normal. My house doesn’t look like a frat house, but it’s not a perfect museum type of house, too.
I guess I’m legally addicted?? I never take more than I should, drs are supportive, but DAMN, if I miss a day the detox is REAL.
wow 80mg is the legal Limit? Where are you? because i know people on higher doses. I guess maybe they could be full of it but thats crazy yea so you take it at 5 and go back to bed for 2 hours? thats unique but I can relate I used to take it at lunch, take a nap, then be motivated to get up
@@Soberdogs I’m right down the 190 a bit in Buffalo (you really should check your IG DMs!). My 80mg is spread out through the day. 30mg to get up at 5am. Another 30mg about noon & 20 mg at 3pm. And naps. 🤷🏻♀️
The last time they moved me up to 80mg, they told me it was the legal limit. I get them written as 30mg AND 10mg. I have to pull myself back every so often because my tolerance goes up. The 10mg allow me to adjust as necessary. Sometimes, I just prepare ahead of time to spend a week on the couch. As long as I have one 30mg, I won’t get sick. I won’t get off the couch, either, but I won’t get sick.
Demi Moore went to rehab several years back for an Adderall/Red Bull addiction. Amusing. That’s my lunch menu. 🤣

Addy addy addy omg dude on point. I bought adderall to work more and was spending all the extra money i made on adderall it was so stupid and pointless
Alfonso exactly bro we just spend all our mone on more addies and think were getting more done but were just on the hamster wheel

U keep it real. I use up my Adderrall all 30 pills in less than a week
@spiders4540 that’s pharmacist . Hope you learn to write using correct grammar and spelling. Not even sure, what you were trying to shit, out your mouth
if anyone doesn't want their adderall, I will gladly take it
As long as I have my daily Adderall, my BombSquad performance is Stellar ! 😆 I've built up a freakin tolerance, however, & I know I need to take a drug holiday x 4. Ahhhh, SHIT !! Your theater antics are soo Funny ! 😊I remember being on Add, & I had a psychotic break (I am bipolar) from all the opiates I had taken. I thought a squad of ninja's (all in black) were approaching my apartment, some where up a tree looking in. I don't know why I felt the need to flush my scripted Methadone down the toilet. I needed those pills, but they got FLUSHED ! 😑
@Threefiddy this guy hustling in the yt comments. Honestly respect I might just have to buy because you responded on my comment too😂😂
Everything you do on addy isn’t as fun when you quit taking it. Never start.
I’m so happy I live in the uk and my adhd meds are FREE
Yea they can def get pretty costly over here. But on the back end I believe you guys pay more taxes yearly to compensate but I'm not positive.
I took Adderall to the extreme like cocaine. I would snort 100mg of Adderall a day and appeared to look like I was on meth. Messed my mental health up like crazy, started turning into an angry depressed person without it.
I want to hear how it effects the relationships u have or had. My now ex friend is on it, and she is a completely different person. She lies, she thinks she is super smart and is a self proclaimed genius, best looking 43 year old that males 20 year olds look ugly she puts others down, can't get along with almost anyone unless they have money, she super into conspiracy theories and believes them all, and she drinks so she becomes super mean. I just can't be her friend she a mess
Please been off for 8 months, no movation!
Great. My brain is fucked but I can’t take adderal. My life is fucked.
You fail to understand how medication works i was also addicted to many drugs you keep saying you need to take more becuase you dont feel ot your not supposed to feel it your supposed to take it once you get the high but you want you body to get used to it
And then you have the medication working with no high effects just ormal concentration it's not supposed to give you amazing limitless like effects you where just looking to get high
Yes this is very true, it sucks that not many people know or say this.
Although even prescribed amounts can become addicting this is exactly how medication is supposed to be used.
People saying they feel like superman and can do everything + more are already taking too much.
Its not supposed to take away all the effort it costs to do things, only lessen the severity of your problems.
This is something that has to be focussed on as soon as you take any medication or else you will become addicted faster then you know.
And im by no means perfect ive been addicted to many things
Wow 30 man we only get 5mg i hav 15mg a day 😂
I take 60mg vyvanse I would be making sure doing everything even shit I wouldn’t do but it would all of sudden feel fun to do and not hard and boring it’s weird that doing little things that’s boring makes it exciting I’m only 16 btw
Yea bro these meds like Adderall and Vyvanse release dopamine along with their stimulant properties so tasks we had no interest in before we now enjoy. But keep an eye on it bro your young we developed a tolerance very quickly
Adderall prescribed by my doctor made me really sleepy and lazy when first taking it. You were taking too high of a dose, and not taking as prescribed. I am a 250lbs man and dr will not prescribe more than 20MG XR per day. You were snorting and taking more to work longer. Not smart. You got yourself addicted.
im 250 as well owen. Yea to an extent I def got myself addicted but what about eh thousands of people who just get a normal dose and take it then 3 months later need a higher dose then again 3 months later and now 2 years into it they need 90mgs a day to get any effect it happens all the time.
