holy shit when the cello comes in....WOW im going to see him tonight and jesus.. he keeps impressing me... smiles all round. ben, india,chris...your amazing
The sign of a future classic song - every bugger wants to cover it but no-one actually gets anywhere near equalling it let alone surpassing it. Amazingly, Jamie Cullum is the only version I've heard that almost does justice to the original.
@r0manb0y That isn't necessarily the reason why he changed the lyrics. Lots of artists do it so that the song becomes more personal to them and they can really feel what they're singing.
@gaz118lemon I completed the comment of LolligaLykke. Ben and India met 15 years ago because India was (and still is) an old friend of Ben's sister Since, Ben's sis is still his sis, India is an old friend of both and (i hope) Ben and his sis are friends
This man's voice is God like. I could fall asleep listening to it, and I definitely think he should attempt more Lana Del Rey songs, he puts an amazing twist on them! But, I agree with the comments about changing the lyrics so it doesn't sound so gay. Just seems a bit silly.
@r0manb0y i don't think it works as well with ben's genre of music to NOT change the words. a band such as los campesinos! can pull off not switching genders but it's different with a solo folk artist in my personal opinion. superb cover.
i hate the small-arms thing. i deteste when people change the lyrics just so it doesnt sound 'gay' or whatever. but i like the way he sings the chorus very much, it's special.
Is it really to say 'Fuck you' just because you disagree with somebody? My comments have some merit, you are not necessarily the guru of musical style. Being rude just makes you seem without intelligence or understanding. I suggest you cool it next time. It's better for you and it's better for everyone who has to read your ramblings. And, no, I don't think you'll get any Lana del Ray fans who will agree that this is 'way way way way' (without commas) better than her original.
He just doesn't have it, does he? The original is so unusual in respect of melody, instrumentation, and the subtle use of voice that this just tears it apart and doesn't provide a better or equal version. His voice isn't suited to the style, and he should have been advised to sing something different. Not a success.
This man is truly indescribably, he has touched my heart with his beautiful voice and music. Much love for you Ben Howard!.
I see i see, and thank you muchly for the upload x
This is so beautiful.
Can't stop listening to it
this is simply gorgeous.

certaines personnes subliment les chansons en se les appropriant ! C'est le cas ... des frissons
1:51 makes me shiver...
This should be released
ok, thank you :)

Great how he can do what she did with eletronics with just an acoustic guitar. BH=talent
@kadeeX shouldn't they be friends to begin with since they are siblings afterall right?
@gaz118lemon I completed the comment of LolligaLykke.

no way in hell how havent i seen this before!!!!!!!
@ethanedward01 @1kleineMax1 they're not siblings, they're just friends and she's called India Bourne :)
Why only 240p
@kadeeX if she's his sister they should be friends for way more than 15 years
i made a fingerpicking cover of the song (check it out!) and then i found that ben did a cover too.. wow, this is awesome
@uksoulstress786 and they are friends for more than 15 years
As far as I'm concerned, this surpasses the original easily.
@LaDolceVitaMusic1 I've met her:) She's lovely
@uksoulstress786 its not his sister, its his sisters friend.

cello is more goosebumpy in this though. rather this
India's my cousins girlfriend :D Never met her though :(
That first sentence should read 'Is it really necessary to say "Fuck you"...'.
@kadeeX
Your allways friend with your sibs ;) (ok .. it should be this way)
thank's.. hahaha!
The cellist is a friend of his sister.
better than the orignal ,carn't beat your orignal voice!!!!!!!
I see i see :)
is it true the pretty cellist is his sister?
@uksoulstress786 nah she's a friend of his sister...still, pretty tight ay
Better than the original
@stevenreid1995 please accept my apology :)
@MacEoin You, my friend, are shunned.
well ,i don't think tht india BOURNE is ben HOWARDs sister hahah :D
The SB.TV one over on the right somewhere is better than this one in my opinion. Both better than the original though.
i hate the small-arms thing.

but i like the way he sings the chorus very much, it's special.
I heard the Lana del Ray original on the radio and thought "this is a bad cover..."
Oohps.
*Awaits impending fan hate*
I luv the original but there's a sweet quality in this,doesn't exist in Lana's emaciated version.
what bro?
hate the guy texting to the far left though
Ben Howard quiet possibly my new favourite artist but seriously don't sing that song again leave it to Lana Del Ray.
no
marry me, ok
The guitar is way off. Everything else brilliant

Lana Del Rey must be well gutted that Ben Howard can sing her song better than she can herself.
