aw man, this brings back a memory from over 5 years ago. We were in a losing game, and our nyx kept just walking up into areas, get detected by a sentry and die. Dude just didn't learn and kept dying over and over again. At no point did he consider the possibility that was being warded. Only reason I remember is that he started blaming our carry for our loss and shut up after we all pointed out that he was literally feeding the enemy team with his stupid solo plays.
Can confirm that statement as riki picker, i am at 5k mmr and most of my games i just rotate though twingates if can see a kill on another lane before even lvl 6 and start rotating and back to farm when nothing happens and mentality play like you have no invis is super helpful because everyone have dusts all the time
Thanks for the in depth explanation. While I feel like I understood some of this stuff already, the advice on what to do when the enemies are grouped up is very welcome. I also never really thought about trying to stay OUT of the smoke as a nyx or bounty as a bait. seems really cool
The invisibility "trick" that always stuck with me is that if you're invisible running around the map but you bump into a lane creep while they are traveling to lane, an observant opponent will notice the creeps are staggered differently and be able to detect that you're nearby, even without a sentry. Don't forget that your invisible model still bodyblocks.
As a support main, you also have to understand an invis player's mindset. They THINK they are strong, sneaky, and deadly. They are desperately looking for opportunities, and they rarely know where your sentry wards are. So if I see an invis hero heading in certain direction, I just ping them, intercept them, throw down a sentry and wait for them to try to pick me off. This usually leads to a pick off kill because they are so reckless and aggressive. If you are forward in their jungle or forward in a lane, and you know you are spotted on their minimap, just hang around a sentry ward and like magic the aggressive invis player appears for his free lunch. It becomes incredibly predictable after a while.

I don't use invis heroes, unless Slark counts maybe. Ahhh I just love those games when my two invis teammates keep feeding because they think they're invulnerable while invis. Or heading directly for Roshan while invisible _after_ the enemy team has just killed Roshan. On the opposite side, those games that enemy invis heroes are so slippery (fuck Weaver in particular) that no one can kill them, or if you're a carry already behind and need to jungle, but someone buys all the sentries so you can't protect yourself from being Nyx'd.
@@krazed0451 Sure, but I play unranked, and you can expect people to put them in unsafe parts of the jungle, instead of the safe jungle (the jungle that's near the top/bottom edges of the map)
This is why I always pick invis heroes to be banned: Nyx, BH, Wind. And Pudge, of course. As a support, hate playing against them. Spending 2k gold every game on dusts and sentries, frustrating af...
In my games since I am low rank and people dont play their roles, I always have atleast 1000 supporr gold especially in longer games even when i am pos 1. I would rather place wards, use smoke , and keep dusts and make an item a few minutes later than lose gold and feed the enemy team.
Just from lineup its clear that he is pos 5 and considering the enemy lineup i don't think rushing dagon after boot was the right decision linken would have save the game.
the fact that the nyx had 2 observers and 3 sentries and didn't even check A SINGLE CLIFF is the most frustrating part... like come on dude, just do some drive by sentry drops and keep going afterwards... he didn;t even do it after he got killed and respawned... like DUDE you have them... USE THEM especially since you died in that EXACT spot
Unless I'm misremembering, unfortunately I don't think you can place wards while invis on nyx. But maybe you're saying smoke, place some wards then come back with invis
Planting a ward breaks your invis, so if you do want to plant some wards it's not gonna be the casual drive-by and keep going as you described, it's gonna be a full stop of that gank attempt and a retreat until your ult is off cooldown again. Now, given that the wards might mean you never had a chance of getting a pick-off anyway, using your wards for a deward and continuing might still be the right move, but it's going to be more situational rather than being the always correct move you present it as. Though frankly it would've probably been better to deward first and then ult. Or just go look for someone in a different area.

It is funny how death without a purpose is frowned upon. Meanwhile, I have a friend who plays POS 4 or 5, and he has an average of 3 to 4 deaths pre minute five. Dying not because he is sacrificing himself for the core but it's because he is doing something stupid. Yet he's able to climb to Immortal. Haha. MMR is truly just a number.
this nyx is real noob , there is an item we call it smoke , for these games that enemy teams wards every where , people should buy smokes , when enemy heros get close ,the invisbility of smoke will gone , that means it buy little time for you to escape that place ,

The invis hero I play the most is Treant. He’s a really good hero to learn good invis habits because trees are the best friends of all invis heroes 🤘

Easy way to play an invi hero: play like if you are not invisible.

6:20 at this point, the nyx in my game would start flaming our mid or carry, jungling, and buying out all of the wards

True! Sometimes it is a give away if units get blocked by invisable Heroes. That beeing said, Clinkz and Bounty are also phased whilst invis ;)
