I am 9 years old and I have been playing violin for 3 years. This has helped me a lot and I am performing better in my music class. I showed this to my friends in my music group and they were delighted. This video helped a lot.
IM a 9 year old and IV been playing violin for a month ! I didn’t know how to read words or make my hand like loose Now my teacher says I’m a professional ❤❤ 1:14

I began playing the violin yesterday, i struggle with the straight bow and tense shoulder. Thank you for this video! I hope I can play the strings better now.
Beautiful, succint video. Well explained but without being condescending. I start violin tomorrow and this will definitely be very useful and potentially save me a lot of frustration in the future. Thank you
Thank you for this! I made 2 of these mistakes and they've always impacted the way I play my violin. I'm in 8th grade and I haven't played professionally since 6th, so I wasn't taught much.
I think you can also talk about how to actually practice to get 90 degrees angle and play bow in between bridge and the finger board. Appreciate your pointing out of this development point for most beginner students but good to know how to overcome the issue
Beautiful explanation! Thank you, I'm sure I would and might still make their mistakes. But now I know what to be conscious of with my body and know hownto adjust!
This is very useful! For me and everyone First of all, for me, I have many mistakes when I sometimes play. But when I saw this video, I learned of what are my mistakes And now I'm getting better and better just because of learning my mistakes AND stop doing mistakes I'm very thankful for this video And second of all, for beginners this is so helpful for them Keep up the good work!
I’ve been playing for 7 years and only just corrected some of these mistakes in the past year or so after years of my teacher having to remind me and drill it into my head lol
Yes , thank you . Those are very good . I am a beginner and they have helped . Something I have noticed you doing while bowing is the bow was turning or twisting . From frog to tip your bow turned and from tip to frog also turned . I like that . I have tried to keep the bow straight , which has been wearing the bow hair on one side . Now I see it makes sense to use all the bow hair while up bowing or down bowing . Thanks again .
Thank you so much, I will definitely use your tips in the future! And the part 2:00 "the pancake hand" I always do that and never know that's incorrect 😅 well know that I know, I hope I will be less annoyed of my violin now. 😅
hi i just bought a violin yesterday trying to learn and this video really helped me if you have teaching program how do i contact you to be my violin mentor?
I am an adult trying to learn violin and I have made all these five mistakes. This video is therefore very helpful to me. Can I have connections with you.
Relaxing position make the finger move freely and without some problems 👀👀👀no wonder violinist head always locking the violin while the hand and finger on left hand are free / no tension but neck are 👀👀👀 so , it's good to have the Shoulder Rest! 🤩 I'm waiting for my 1st violin from Shopee at this moment (this comment) , 4/4 Pink from china, hope it's not bad like the rating and video review does from china
I don't want to justify bad habits, but billy contreras plays with a pancake hand and is one of the best jazz violinists. What I want to say is that different ways of playing suit different playing styles and anatomies and there is no absolute rule for violin playing.
I cant find any examples of this. All the videos I looked at he plays with a straight hand. You should be more cautious about dismissing common technique under the guise of "style". The violin is a much less forgiving instrument than most, and it's much better to stick with proper technique until proven that it doesn't work, rather than look at a single example of someone violating a rule, and believing that it's a free pass for everyone to do what ever they want.
I’m in 5th grade and learning to play the Violin along with Saxophone! My sister has a violin so i’ll use that until i get my own! My Middle school (which i’m in) Has band and one of those are Orchestra which i believe Orchestras have violin (Correct me i’m wrong!) i really want to join! but also want to join marching band that lasts till october 😅 if anyone has tips for playing the violin please tell!
Ive been practicing with my violin for 2 hours nonstop im trying to use my bow correctly but i cant feel my arms anymore LMAO, thank you for the video tho it really helps
Level of right arm elbow should be different on each string. Please, explain the reason for straight bow drowning. And how you should place you fingers on the strings
IM TRUCKERS WIFE

How have you progressed in the past 11 months? I started playing as an adult student 8 months ago.
Great video!, I brought my first violin and I’m having so much bow shaking and difficult to play notes on sequence
Create a daily routine to practice your bow hold and playing with long straight bow on open strings. With consistent effort you will do very well🎶👍
This was very helpful. I just started learning the violin, and it's hard to maintain that bow hold and using the the elbow lol.
Beautiful, succint video. Well explained but without being condescending. I start violin tomorrow and this will definitely be very useful and potentially save me a lot of frustration in the future.

In Indian Classical style, 90% of the problems vanish as the position of keeping the violin in Indian Classical style is much more comfortable.
Thanks i have been playing for 2 months and this is really helpful

I like that you don't use a shoulder rest . Can you please make a vidéo about how to hold the violon without a shoulder rest ? I can't get one.

Hello i recommend you to get a violin teacher quick you get many bad habits when you learn alone
There are fixtures that force you to hold it right tho could still have head in wrong position n idk what they are claled
note: the bow should be parallel to the bridge.
One hundred percent correct
❤❤❤❤awesome.
thank you
