It’s not an opinion statistically Kai brought in a ton of players, whether they were new or old I’m not sure but it is 100% fact that Kai “revived” the game even tho it wasn’t dead. Just look up the player counts when he was doing his marathon.

I think it’s cus of the input reading, similar to Ice borne for MHW.
When bosses are CONSTANTLY attacking leaving zero room to breathe, everything becomes increasingly difficult.
Input reading makes the boss react faster and/or continuously attack which can be a good idea for a few bosses but not all.
And there is definitely a line between it being reasonable and just unnecessary.
What bosses in iceborne are you talking about? Cause I've soloed the entire game outside of, extreme behemoth and fatalis? The closest thing in monster hunter to input reading was black Diablo but even then that's just an aggressive boss ,there isn't a single monster I can think of that felt like it reads my input ?

@@ThePsycheWard Sorry, when I mentioned Iceborne, I was specifically talking about the difference between the main game and the DLC.
It is pretty much night and day in terms of the behavior between the monsters in the main game and the DLC.
And I am not hating on the game. I absolutely loved the gameplay experience in Iceborne as well as Elden Ring. It's just noticeable the difference. Some ppl find that dumb but I don't care cus I like the challenge. All I am saying is, I understand.
Except if you know when to heal or attack there’s no input reading. Input reading only happens when the boss is idle, and hell even the final boss allows you to get two heals in while he’s just menacingly walking towards you. Aside from that it’s not too hard to read the combo finishers; a lot of people just panic in the second phase when they see the light beams, because 2nd phase is more of the first phase but instead of rocks now it’s light beams (with like 3 or 4 extra new attacks).
Even after two years people’s habit of panic rolling and panic healing hasn’t gone away, and I think that’s why most people struggle with the DLC because any panic rolls or panic heals will be punished.

Give souls game veterans who make content amazing things like that, they deserve it the most. not some streamer who’s only played Elden Ring
Even if they did give them stuff like the statue, fromsoft wouldn't be gaining much back by doing that. On the other hand, the malenia statue in the back of Kai's streams to hundreds of thousands people is good marketing for the game.
As much as I agree with you, they probably gave them those gifts due to them having a big influence on the gaming community.

Brother the game was the game of the year and is undeniably the biggest release of the last 3 years, kai got that statue because hes kai, that is it.

Also, Kai was looking for hard games to play to prove himself as a gamer, so it's only natural he would be recommended Elden Ring as it's renowned for its difficulty. ER was popular and I don't deny many people in his chat already knew about it but Kai introduced and recommended the game to hundreds of thousands of people who many of them have only heard about it and never played or have never heard of it completely.

The fact that kai is the one who received a Melania statue, instead of let me solo her, is in sane to me. It kind of seems like they were dick riding a streamer with a lot of viewers, leading up to the dlc. Its like giving a promotion to the new guy instead of the loyal employee who's most deserving.

It feels like people don’t understand that really good players like LMSH aren’t just god gamers who first try everything, but they become so good by practicing a ton and deeply learning the game and its bosses, and yeah, everyone is gonna be more or less just as bad at a fromsoft game or dlc when it first releases

People seem to forget that it takes time to get good at other bosses not to mention the doc scales with your level so Kai cenat had a low level messmer
Just to clarify, he commented on stream, the company that makes malenia is sending him one so he's got the sword AND the giant statue.
I think people forgot the struggles that MADE him LMSH. He struggled on Malenia for so long that he mastered her entire moveset, to the point where he decided he doesn’t even want to wear armor because he won’t get hit.
Of course he’s gonna struggle with the DLC bosses as he’s facing new bosses just like the rest of us. He’s no different from us.

Yes the final DLC boss is crazy, I’ve beat all the bosses on the DLC but after two days of trying I finally gave up on the final boss of DLC
Never really been a Kai fan (nothing against him I just don't really watch streamers much) but seeing how the Elden Ring/FromSoft learning curve hit him is so inspiring. My man's took damn near 400 tries to beat a Tree Sentinel but is handling the DLC

Also Kai was on a powerstanced bleed twinblade build at lvl 170+.while let me solo her uses frost dual curved sword. with a lower level at that. and basically no Armor.... just a giant pot and a few rags.

I feel like i beat the DLC fairly quickly! I didnt care to do any side quests.
Main goal was having to start NG+ to get the 1 weapon i missed through my first run thru to get platinum 😂
I learned to “let me solo” from him and it took me a good month or 2 to get malenia down no hit consistently it takes time just bc your a good player doesn’t mean you can just solo any boss u see
LMSH is just a guy who got really good at one boss (probably definitely the whole game), but he's still just a guy who's gonna get the brakes put on him when something completely new is thrown his way.
Kai also put 60 hours and 500 deaths into the boss

I have a feeling most of the whiners are on ng+. I started with my ng+6 character and the dlc seems very unfair. Switched to my character still in the first playthrough, cheesed Mogh and started the dlc. Its still very tough, but doesnt feel unfair like my main character did.
I’m on ng10 and max lvl(dlc scales with level) and I don’t think the dlc is that hard. Idk why people are saying it’s super hard
@Mr.Steak. might've been me shaking off some ring rust, but diving in after a year with my ng+ I was having trouble. After I swapped to a non ng+, it was a bit easier imo. I actually swapped back last night and beat Rellana. So yeah, people are just whining then.

I always thought it was interesting how people struggle differently in games and stuff. Person A can have such an easy time on the dlc that they says its too easy but person B can struggle so much they say its too hard and quit

I played Elden ring when it released and had trouble as level 130 and took weeks to get where I am now, level 60 in just a few hours…

The “fist” weapon he used is one of the best weapons in the game to be fair. It trivialises pretty much every boss because of the amount of poise damage it deals. Also, anyone who uses the word “glazing” is not over the age of 13.
I play on xbox and I summoned in someone named solo him and he easily soloed messmer for me, I wasn't expecting to find someone like that on xbox

As for the gifts they each got, I sort of viewed the gifta by Fromsoft to LMSH as honorary and recognition as opposed to Kai's, which was more for marketing and to get more people to view his streams of elden ring since hes a big streamer. So the qualities if the gift isn't something to complain about for me given the reasons for the gifts for each recipient.
