Hey everyone! Thanks for watching my Reaction for Raya and the last Dragon! See you on Monday for BROTHER BEAR! Full Reaction is now up on Patreon as well as SPIRIT: THE STALLION OF THE CIMMARON!
Yes! I've been waiting for Brother Bear. And the soundtrack on Spirit is one of the best ones ever! Still waiting to see Raya, I'm waiting for theaters to reopen where I am, so don't take it personal I haven't seen this video yet, just here to see this comment.
When Namari hesitated to shoot Sisu (or whatever their names are), it was like when Draco hesitated to kill Dumbldore. Except Namari actually shot Sisu.
Totally agree she didn’t even have to point the crossbow. She was given multiple chances and she betrayed them each time. Even with all the pieces, her first thought was to run with them instead of saving the others.
This movie was really good, I was skeptical at first when I heard that there’s a new Disney Princess but they did a phenomenal job👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 and I respect the fact that Raya is not just a Disney Princess but she’s a Southeast Asian Disney Princess and I love the different cultures they show
I just finished this movie and I agree with you. I had my doubts about this movie. I thought "Here we go....another stupid Disney movie just to make money" MAN, was I wrong. This movie was GORGEOUS and it FELT like a creatively done, magical Disney movie. It had emotion. It had STUNNING animation. I liked that they not only portrayed Raya as an Asian princess, but they made her a strong, beautiful warrior and not just a weak, whiny damsel in distress. It was definitely worth the $30 I spent on it. I liked the creativity they used when portraying the Dragons and giving them each a unique power. It was beautiful.
This movie was gorgeous and creative The animation is good. The characters are meh And the storyline was kinda good I like the fighthing seen where raya and namari fight Sisu was kinda funny but also kinda annoying Raya was great Namari was a pretty bad antagonist in my opinion :/ i dont like her Shrimp boy was my favorite Eye patch dude was kinda cool And the baby was cool too
Raya and the Last Dragon is one of those animated films that gets me in the feels pretty good. I couldn’t contain myself from the climax to the ending. Such a wonderful Disney film!
Finally someone regognises that it was also Raya's fault. Namaari was hovering over the trigger, but she nerds over the dragon so much no way would she have shot Sisu.
But Raya did offer Namari a chance, Namari broke that trust (chose again) but pulling out her weapon. Raya extended a hand while Namari pulled out a weapon. OF COURSE Raya would be hesitant after JUST being betrayed.
@Isabel Lammle Disney probably won't do it for business sakes (sadly) if they do that the movie would get banned in homophobic countries and they would loose a lot of money, and you know how much Disney loves their money
I'm glad to see someone like this movie. I feel a lot of people oversimplify the intended message and think it's just about blind trust, when really it's much more complex. There are notes about redemption, don't abuse the trust of others, and that there are problems bigger than the distrust of individuals. There's also lessons about forgiveness, and understanding. And then there is a lesson in there that sometimes you have to be the bigger person and step up, distrust is a viscous cycle, and SOMEONE has to break it. In this case, it had to Raya. :)
For real. People take things way too literally and nitpick things way too much. Like in what way does the movie convey to trust blindly when it shows both sides of the trust spectrum (Raya and Sisu) being one who doesn’t trust at all and one who trusts too easily, it’s obvious that the idea is to not take people for granted to work as a team when push comes to shove. Someone has to take the first step to make a change.
You liked Raya's whip sword, huh? If you want to see another weapon like that, then search about Byleth's Sword of The Creator, the main weapon of Fire Emblem Three Houses!
21:10 One of the nuances few people seem to get; the breaking of the world was technically BOTH of their faults. One of the many reasons I enjoy this movie despite its weaknesses is that the protagonists/antagonists are not black-and-white
I'd even say a lot of fault lies with Namaari's mother. Namaari was just a kid doing as she was told, raised in a certain way. Her mother more or less just used her to get what she wanted.
Thank you for understanding Namaari's side. Everyone is like "Namaari isn't taking responsibility for her actions and gaslighting Raya!" No. Namaari knows they're at fault for the gem breaking, though she tried to steal it because her people were in bad shape when she was a kid(and she didn't get that firework and Fang soldiers from nowhere, so most likely her mother put her up to it.) It wasn't that Raya had to totally forget and forgive what Namaari had done, but give her the benefit of the doubt.
Ahaha i know right! I have disney+ but it's only out with Premiere Access, meaning I can't watch it till June. This is the only way imma watch this film till then lol
7:10 Regarding that rant, considering that this movie was made in 2021, I thought that this reflected/references the struggles of the pandemic VERY WELL
Glad my heritage was shown among these other countries being represented in this fantasy world that is Raya and the Last Dragon! Arnis is a wicked martial art.
Visually perfect, amazing OST, the message is OMG.... but I confess I'd like Disney to mantain the original ending: Sizu would be the last dragon for real. The gem would work, and water in all its forms would return, but no dragon would come back. It would be up to mankind to take care of themselves and the World, by spreading Faith and Trust. But you know, Disney being Disney... Great video, man
@@SusanaCanales1 Yeah I agree that it was definitely Virana's fault. If she did not influence Namaari to do what she did, then this wouldn't have happened.
Hey Cody a funny thing that I have to tell you about when I was watching the movie in the theaters during the last few minutes of the movie I broke down into tears and started crying happy tears in the theater and my dad asked me what was wrong and I told my dad that I was happy and not sad at all and everybody else in the movie theater looked at me funny because I was crying tears of joy during the last bit of the movie and when the credits rolled I clapped and cried and I said that was the greatest movie ever. I'll be honest I didn't have much hope for this movie and I am so glad I was pleasantly surprised. Great voice acting, good action, beautiful animation. Solid 7.5/10 for me. Btw Wall-E reaction when?😋 been asking for over 2 months
My god I just finished watching this movie and wow. It was intense. Darker than I thought it would be at times, but lighthearted enough and so emotional at the end. I cried more than I have in a while from a movie. The fighting and the hairstyles are something that stood out to me in this movie haha and I surprisingly liked the dragon design. Wasn't a huge fan when I saw the dragon in the trailer, but I actually fell in love with Sisu's look really quick when I watched the movie 😁😁
This movie genuinely surprised me with how good it was. I was NOT expecting to like Sisu as much as I did. The animation was breathtaking, the story was REFRESHINGLY creative and unique.....unlike the slog of remakes and sequels we've been getting from Disney lately. This felt like a true Disney movie with no mother, and a little bit of magic and sincere emotion and humor. It was beautiful.....and well-worth the $30 my 4 yr old nephew had me pay for it. lol On THAT note....I would highly recommend you react to the Blind Side if you haven't yet. Another beautiful story. One of Sandra Bullock' BEST in my humble opinion.

That’s a good one. I think you’ll like it
Fun fact about the animation since you loved it so much.... IT WAS ALL DONE FROM HOME IN QUARANTINE!!
If that’s the case every animator involved really deserves a raise
Awesome, a way to keep busy.
Indeed
They didn’t let that stop them at all
At the end when they all get close giving up all the pieces reminds me of
"You said it your self b*** we're the guardian's of the galaxy"
I think that was definitely intentional on the animator's part. They borrowed off of Guardians of the Galaxy with that climactic scene!
You can't just blindly trust people, but you can cautiously give them the bennifit of the doubt.
