This show coming on every weekday afternoon as opposed to just once a week really softened the blow of there being a lot of filler episodes. That being said, I liked the downtime before the Cell Games. Really showed that Goku and Gohan are characters beyond blowing people up.
Funi surprisingly decided to stick to the original and say "Gohan's 11th birthday", but yet called him "Teen Gohan" when he fought Cell and even in the video games lol. That horrible name has still stuck around.
