Love this guy .He was great in the movie playing the legendary John Deacon.He got all the moves and even the “smile “ right.
Joe is very cute and humble. I saw his acting for the first time on Social Network and even there he did a good job playing a small character. He's that kind of actor: it doesn't matter if he's the protagonist or not he'll do what he has to do to make it happen in the best way possible. Needless to say I loved him as John, his impressions were on point and he delivered one of my favourite lines in the movie (“yes, it'll be if you all can just shut up and play”).
This is guy is a delight!

This is so right! I'm a bassist and once I saw a movie where there was a rock concert and showed all the members of the band and then the screen showed the bassist and it LOOKED SO FAKE.
I Don't know if the people who aren't musicians noticed it, but for me as a bassist looked that obvioulsy the guy was faking it
I recovered the hope when I saw Joe Mazzello Actually playing the bass! I thought he was just going to do it like other actors that seem so fake and show the bass as the instrument that you can't hear in all the Song. So i have to say thank you to him for puting his effort

But I would like to see the scene when John was joining the band, because it's a little bit like "we've got a new singer. oh, and some new bass player" :)
The only thing that annoys me about this film is that John is so marginalized and a bit treated as this fourth person who is there somewhere and doing something, because he is in the band after all.
Maybe it's just my feeling :)
