Although X-Men (2000) often gets the credit, this is really the movie that began the superhero movie age. Everything Marvel and DC has done since was launched by this film. And the sequel is even better. There is another classic comic book movie I'd love to see you guys react to though, (1990) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
44:36 Replying Hela about sequels. Yes, Blade is a trilogy, the second one is my favorite, directed by Guillermo del Toro. The third film stars Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool) at the beginning of his career.
This is where the fun begins!!!! Blade was my first rated R movie and first Marvel movie!!!! Love the fight choreography, the tone etc. Regardless, hope you two like it!!!! 🙏🏽💪
The Blade series is a lot of fun and action. You two ladies always make seeing a movie again just so much fun. It's cool how you keep trying to guess what is going to happen and then getting excited when it does. You ladies are just to cool.
If you ever seen the first Matrix movie the jump training program was the same effect that Blade did in the hospital window scene...so Blade did it first and the first two Blade movies made enough money in the 90's that Marvel was able to create the MCU because during the 90's they didn't do well in movies or TV and about to file bankruptcy.
you might wanna react to the "Underworld" Series too.... it's all about vampires & werewolves, how they hide in today's human society and where they came from.... different but creative history imo....
Awesome! I love this movie, great reaction girls! Yeah as you both pointed out, Blade is a rather cold character. He does have feelings, but you need to focus on the small details to notice. Like Hela said, when he wipes the blood off Whistler's neck, he has a very sad and defeated look in his eyes.
25:30-It sure is..Holding hands with your lover, pretty sunrise, nice fire going..Ahhhhhh. Fun reactions, ladies..FYI: The Tomb Of Dracula was a hit series for Marvel from the jump in '71. Stan suggested a regular nemesis to battle him to artist Gene Colan, and Blade was created about '72. He was so popular with fans by '75 he had his own series, also drawn by Colan and very successful. I don't think they could've found any one better than Snipes to play him.
2:30 In the 80s and 90s was half true half urban legend that famous people create parties in random places (in big cities like New York or Los Angeles) to hide from press and paparazzi. One of the most famous rumours was a slaughter house that transform in a club. The vampires doing the same was a wink to that gossip.
These older marvel movies like Daredevil, Spiderman, and Blade were so fun. I remember these so much more than the mainstream ones. And in Spiderman 2001's case, that was just a gem above and beyond the childish stuff Marvel pumps out these days imo.
Nice reaction, Ladies. Some FYI: - Blade has been lurking around Marvel comics since 1973. - Half Human / Half Vampires (like Blade) are also called Dhampirs. In the comics, he does have advanced life longevity but not quite the immortality of a true vampire.
Hello ladies. This was the beginning of Marvel's golden age on film with the first character of the comics to have a box-office smash. The 2nd Rated-R movie for a Marvel character after The Punisher (1989). Undoubtedly the first, real kick-a** Vampire movie. From the darkside of the comics, inspired by blaxploitation films (a la' Shaft & Blacula) and debuting 50 years ago in 'The Tomb of Dracula' comics as one of Drac's many foes. Following his first mainstream appearances on Spider-Man:The Animated Series (1994-1998). Prior to being casted as Blade, Wesley Snipes as actor/producer was involved with developing Black Panther (at the time, a Sony property). Frustrated with how to make BP, he received the BLADE script and said yes to it. Snipes had never known that Blade or Black Panther were both from Marvel. The blending of everything in this film is phenomenal. The soundtrack from TVT records is fire and the PS1 video game from 2000 was cool too. The Blade trilogy was written by David S. Goyer (Man of Steel,The Dark Knight Trilogy). Part 2 (2002) is great and Part 3 (2004) is very controversial. At the end of the day, it's nice to see more of this movie be really loved and appreciated as it deserves.
I used to have terrible rotator cuff problems. My shoulder joints would dislocate all the time. And do so with just random actions. So every time I see a dislocation I can definitely relate. You feel panicked and you also are aware of the fact that you need to calm down so that the shoulder can slip back into joint. But that's very hard to do because your shoulder is out of joint. Which is why you feel panicked in the first place.
There is a sequel to this movie too (Blade II), made in 2002 and a third movie (Blade III), made in 2004. And new movie of Blade will come in theaters Nov 7th, 2025. Just called Blade.

Y'all caught the giggles, I see. VERY contagious. 😷 I love underground clubs. I sometimes brought new people to my favorite one and once I actually had a guy, who was supposed to meet his girlfriend (he didn't know about her "dark" side), start trailing back and finally when he was about 30 feet away, stopped all together. I was like, "Dude! You comin'?" He honestly asked me if I was going to kill him. I told him that I wouldn't, but if he stayed out there someone else might. 😆🤣⚰
I love your reactions! Innocent yet savage on some of the movies you react to. It is a funny contrast. I am looking forward to the next reaction. Have a great night ladies.
Out of all these movie comments, my favourite was on Alien. Someone wrote the movies tag line 'In space no one can hear you scream' But maybe they can hear these two.
When they were filming "Blade III" in a city I was visiting, I remember encounter Wesley Snipes in full costume walking on the sidewalk in front of me and I assume was on his way to a film set. Now I'm not sure if it was really him or his stunt double. But what struck me the most was how small the person playing Blade was. He looked about 5'5" or 5'6". I know in movies they always make the star look much taller (e.g. Tom Cruise or Mel Gibson). But this actor was quite short, yet he looked really cool and badass in his full Blade costume.

31:04 Blade keeps an Dracaena Leucospermum plant as a metaphor for his lineage. It’s a hybrid plant, made up of two different species - much like himself.
I love your reactions!😁👏👏👏 I think the 2nd one is even better, so please enjoy! Also, Blade is at his strongest when he has blood, but he hates having to do it. That's what makes him so interesting. He hates what he is, but is also scared of it. Also, Wesley Snipes loves playing Blade!
Blade was a fun movie! Wesley Snipes fighting choreography was much better than most Hollywood actors... That is because he has a martial arts background (studying since he was 12). He has multiple black belts in different martial arts. Your reactions were great in this movie!
It was one of those rare cases where the actor was so good. They had to redesigned the comic book original character to match his image. Like with Margot Robbie & RDJ That only happens when you really knock it out of the park
I think the cutting of the plant roots is to symbolize that with Whistler's death, Blade no longer has roots or a connection to anything on Earth, and can completely commit himself to the task of defeating the vampires without fear of his own death. He has nothing to live for, but to end them.
Marvel had filed for bankruptcy just a couple years prior to the release of Blade. Without the success of this movie who knows what would have happened to Marvel.
Hello Ladies, I enjoyed your INTRO, glad you didn't re-edit it. Like the flowers in your hair., as usual you both did a great job reacting to the movie, the half covering your eyes, very cute. 😅💙💚💛❤ The main reason this movie succeeded, They used CGI (which was pretty good) to help with the story, rather than be the story like 30% of movies now do. The second movie is better, and will cause you to scream, and really hide your eyes. 😂 I wish you both good health, and stay safe.
