Watching people scream "Oh, it's just the console version. All of the footage is on console." is so funny when you can literally see in some of that footage that the UI has keyboard and mouse inputs displayed.
It wasn't only the console version, but it was because of the last gen they deleted half of the content, even with half the content last gen can't run it properly, lol. And now they released next gen consoles that should be in use for years, but they have the power less than 2017 graphics card, lmao.

Weird how I played on day 1 and had very minor issues. If you're using a PC that has the capabilities of a last gen console, maybe try upgrading.

@Noggin Fodder No it's the cdpr's fault for revealing the game too early and overhyping it. It's understandable for the fans to be angry when a studio delays the game several times, but the threats against the developers were a bit much.

Gonna be honest, I bought it about a month ago and enjoyed the hell out of it for the story. I even straight up cried after I chose to have Arasaka remove Johnny from my head. Other than that, it's super lackluster and the vehicle physics are shit.
@MA okay completely take out the bug issues and the performance issues the game is still complete shit. People have done multiple videos and already proven that a PS2 era game had better AI,overall better customization options character wise along with vehicles,and cops didn't just spawn from nowhere the list goes on and on. No matter how you spin it this game was a huge fucking ripoff and nowhere close to what they promised or hyped up.

However, there are only a select few of games that support KBnM natively like Warzone, Girtnite, Warthunder.
These games that natively support it also show the Keybinds as a KBnM.
Playing Overwatch or Battlefield on consoles requires an external device that allows it to trick the inputs of the KBnM then feeds it to your controller.
When you use these devices, they "Do Not" display the keyboards because there is no lettings to display. Its not programmed into the console versions.

Love how they showed you walking around the city with a clear screen but atleast 80% of the gameplay was when Silverhand was trying to give me a fucking seizure.
That's my biggest complaint. Every quest and every moment of the game V is just knocking on deaths door, passing out, hacking his/her lungs up and crying on the floor. Like just SHUT UP already, I want to play the game. I do not want to suffer through all that BS again.
Bugs can be fixed. But missing mechanics and content is an entirely different story.

Folks keep taking cheap shots at Sony but as far as the consoles go, I've turned on my PlayStation way more often than my Xbox over the last 2+ decades.

Sad part is, I dont see this game being fixed in the way No Mans Sky was/Is. I love the setting. The Theme. I even like alot of the gameplay elements. but it all feels like it was put together with duct tape and released... All the side quests feel forced... you go someplace. something happens with no backstory. You got kill some people and the quest is over.. No real story.. Wish the game had the direction it needed to be great. Had it, probably would have been the game of the Decade

Agreed. I absolutely enjoy the game, cried at the end (I had arasaka remove Johnny), and sometimes still hop back into it. But, it's lack luster, I start up the game and know that there are places and stories I didn't explore but It just seems not worth playing.

I got a brand new PC for Christmas along with a copy of the game in 2020 gtx 1650geforce intel i5 10300H 2.50hz runs the 2 new cod multiplayers at well above 60+ FPS doom 2016 at 100 + FPS cyber punk I HAD to turn on adaptive framerate at update 1.2ish to get 40 FPS - 60 never consistent 60 never above 60 unless it was out in certain parts of the desert where less objects were other areas made the complete opposite effect only managed to get that FPS when I turned the crowd density to low cause the crowds the ai are unoptimized very bad the spec requirements on steam page says I’m okay to play and you shouldn’t need the newest mega PC parts to play a game especially when you got a PC that is within the specs range

With a game of this caliber it's probably safe to assume it's at least in the range of 25-50% of the total budget.
Their advertisement on Times Square alone is estimated at $2.5 million ($1.5 million is the minimum price for one month, up to $4 million).
The total budget is estimated at US$313 million, according to Wikipedia, so somewhere between $80-155 million seems to be a safe bet for marketing, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was higher.

The truth is, even if the game didn’t have a million bugs, it still wouldn’t be that good. Sure it would be decent but no where near Red Dead
Also the reality is everyone prefers online games. The era of campaign has ended, it was fun while it lasted.
Edit: I’m not stupid I know people play campaign, rpg games, etc. the problem is that online has an abundance of players than these types of games. Look at bf 2042, their not working on a campaign because multiplayer is better and will attract more people

Proven by various games like Last of us, God of War, Ghost of Tsushima, heck even Cyberpunk potentially. There are plenty of these games if you look for them a lil bit. Multiplayer and it's rise doesn't mean the death of the other. Tho I give you that one, you are right that story games are declining in a sense.. they are lesser overall and the quality sucks at times.

Everyone huh? Ok there. GTA5 and RDR2, two of the best selling games in the last decade, if not entire history of gaming. Almost no one bought them for their multiplayer content. At least not initially. Multiplayer games are the McDonalds of the gaming industry. Fast and easy made trash that sells well.

I had a 2080 super and a 10700k and my pc would stutter so bad even with ray tracing off. Had to run at medium-low settings and even then got barely over 50 FPS. No temp spikes, ram every other game perfect. With they had optimized it, had such high hopes for this open world game but didn’t find much enjoyment from it even when I got it to run stable
Most people see the bugs and shit that can be fixed and are saying that when CDPR fixes the bugs the game will be amazing, but i see the lies they told everyone, about how this game was going to be some deep RPG with a lot replayability, but turned out to be more akin to Farcry, which isn't necessarily a bad thing on it's own, but when you hype it up to be something then i expect the game to be that and not something else.
Every time someone says it's not on PC it was on console I have to yell silently at them for not looking at the bottom left keybinds..
It's incredible the people that defend this game and say "it's so much better now" ...take out every single bug and this game is GOOD AT BEST. They literally said it'll "set a new standard" for rpg games. LOL. So many things in this game are so God damn mediocre. The only thing it has going for it is the main story and that still isn't anything more than good.

Cyberpunk 2077 is part of a larger issues with games today. Games aren't properly tested, money is mostly spent on marketing, games are rushed, games are expensive, they try to milk it with micro transactions and paid DLCs. I cannot think of the last game that was released in the past 2 years which genuinely made me have faith in the developers and happy to play it.
They have fixed a lot bugs but the mechanics are still a joke. Also the big problem is it in the foundation of the game. It’s a dead open world, it’s barely an rpg and fighting isn’t all that special. The game does nothing exceptionally well.
I really like the map though
My launch experience (even a month after with patches) was play stable for an hour, but at 61st minute, it started getting buggier and buggier. Had to restart every 2 hours or so.

I actually watched Cohh's full lets play of this game when it was released, it didn't look that bad on pc indeed. I even enjoyed watching it all the way. (it was a whole different story for console players though)

I remember when I first play this game on my ps4 an night city was all blurry an it hurt my eyes to point i said goodbye to the game have never came back
Now I understand why they're taking their time with dead island 2, even after all the development issues studio changes and all that they're probably trying their best to not do what cd project did, deliver a quality game without crunch or over promising
I remember playing this finally on PC. The first 5 hours were so promising. Loved the setting and the lighting. I was so immersed the entire time. I was extremely excited for street racing. Until I got there and it was a joke. That's when the game finally started to show it's flaws for me. But if I ever want to walk the streets of a beautiful city, this is the game I'll redownload, play for a couple hours, then never play again. Not until it's fixed.
i got a real feeling this is the type of game that will never be fixed. right now they fix it step by step with minor improvements until nobody cares anymore and they move on to the next project. cyberpunk really gives off that vibe. there are so many systems that dont need fixing but a actual complete overhaul to make it good. i dont think thats in the frame of possibility unless they completely plan out extreme changes to the core gameplay cause if im honest, the core gameplay really doesnt feel that unique and special.

I definitely never saw any of this in a couple hundred hours. I had 1 side quest turn in NPC not appear, that was pretty annoying though.
Even without bugs the game was of medium quality. Nothing special at all and not to begin with the lack of rpg elements

Lol I have a i9-9900k and two 2080ti’s I played the game on medium everything keeping FPS in mind, and the game still ran like garbage lol. Did learn one takeaway from cdpr and cp2077, never pre order a game again 🤣

I have i9-9900k and one 2080 and my game ran fine on high setting. I don’t understand how some people on PC are having very few problems while some have some big problems. I’ve seen people with higher specs than me have the game run like shit.

Thats because optimization is complete shit. Was always the case for CDPR games, they optimise their games for a very specific and small range of builds. If you change any single detail, like the Ram speed, there's a good chance you'll get piss poor performance

I had to keep the game at medium with rtx on low and dlss to performance, just to hit 60 fps.

I didn't have too many issues when I did my playthrough, it ran pretty smoothly and didn't see too many bugs. And I admittedly didn't have to pay for it... And I'm glad I didn't, definitely would not have been worth it.
The Big problem is not only the Bugs , is the cut content and missing features
It took them over a year to add a walk button to pc.
What mostly like plagued this game from the beginning was management. Too many games get caught in a cycle of trying to change or add new features when the core game isn’t fully developed. It takes good project management from every team and a solid development roadmap to make big games.
Look at GTA5, it took rockstar only 3 years to develop and ship the game. Cdpr has half the amount of people as rockstar but they also had 6 years to develop the game. The project managers and game designers are to blame for trying cram in more and more.
All the people in summits chat saying it was only shit on console and how they had a good experience on pc are clueless to the real problems. Everyone's talking about the bugs but way less people are talking about the CORE issues with the game. Or the lifeless bland open world with nothing to do. But yeah "I had a bug free experience on pc" cool!!

Poor Keanu, they put his name on something unfinished just to sell copies, and he probably didn't even know at the time. I bet they had him fooled just like the rest of us before release.
Also, who in the world told them that fans were bored of the plethora of content in Witcher 3????? Last I checked, people liked games they could sink months/years into. It's why Fallout games and even Skyrim were so successful at launch and for quite a long period thereafter. Of all the excuses they could have used for explaining why the game is so short, they've gotta be bringing up bits of wood as well with all that scraping at the bottom of the barrel.

The problem we see time and time again is that investors own every part of the gaming industry at this point. They do not care about the customer or the game. At the end of the day it’s all about money.
If only CDPR had more time and long term investors.
The problems run deeper then that but you're right about what you said.
For a game that took almost a decade to make you cant blame investors, accept the game was a flop and move on.
Investors had a role but the studio heads themselves man.. They had soo much time to make something great but clearly this was scope creep and they just got arrogant after Witcher's success thinking they can do it all.. In the end, they only got 1 thing kinda right.

people have this misconception that when the game was announced in what 2013 they started development right after, but that's not the case.
it was more like 4 to 5 years, still a long time, but this is still multiple years of non-existent development time people believe was there.

@@initailo1536yep its so basic and so many other areas are in this game are basic. Its got a good atmosphere, decent cars and good story but thats it, its worth a play but dont think it is worth holding on to.
It’s just crazy how much they took out of the game too.
They simply didn't make the system, they are trying to hit the target they need at least two more years. It's a dead city

It's unfortunate that they decided to not only release this game about 2 years too early in my opinion, but also release it on old gen consoles. I played the game on my laptop with a gtx 1060 and had a pretty decent time. Yeah I got pretty bad FPS at times but I used to be a console player so I was used to it. I actually didn't run into very many bugs, like I could probably count the amount I ran into on both my hands. Really wish the dumbass higher-ups in the development team didn't rush this game out.
tbf to the streamers who said their playthroughs were good, i remember friends noticed after the first 4 hour "intro" portion of the game that the performance went off a cliff.
Intro took 4 hrs for you? Here I am completing it in 20 min. Do you mean act 1 or do you really mean intro?
