I love your Europe content. Sad how the US pales in comparison to the efficiency, frequency and speed of trains in Europe. Also love the scenery in these trips reports!
The replacement was one of the main reasons I decided to check it out while I could. It's such a unique service, especially with the power swap at the German border. It's a shame I wasn't able to ride farther, but I had to stay within the Netherlands for the day.
What about the Amsterdam-Berlin train? I know there's the private sleeper company running now which is exciting, but will those InterCity day train coaches be replaced by ICE equipment? I believe there is track construction to increase speeds on parts of that route.
@@connecticutmultimodaltrans8226 DB plans to use their new ICE-L stock on the route. They should have already been running this year, but they are delayed. Together with new NS Vectron locomotives, that will also get rid of the locomotive swap at the border and shave like half an hour off the travel time.
Please do a trip report for Brightline, Miami - Orlando in premium class, when it opens, as well as a trup report for the new Avelia Liberty Amtrak Acela trainsets, also in the highest available class.
It is my goal to be on one of, if not the first train to Orlando when Brightline begins service, and of course I'll travel in Premium Class. As for the Avelia Liberty, we're still quite a ways out from the beginning of service, but I have every intention to be one of the first on board when the time comes.
But it doesn't affect the volume of the announcements. It's active when music is played over the PA system, which is only the case on special/hired runs.
Nice video, thanks. I need to travel to the Netherlands again! I live at the other end of that route and I would never even consider flying from Berlin to Amsterdam. Btw - the mirrors are just for the benefit of the customers. 😊
I haven't finished the video yet, but while the presentation of the cabin features was very thorough, I think the corridor-side seats _should_ have fold-out tables tucked away under the armrest that you missed? Since the main table doesn't extend that far, as it would make the compartment too cramped.
It's common to see other nations railway carriages in other countries and I remember seeing a Russian Railways carriage in Nice in the south of France once (obviously minus it's Russian bogies!).I think, although I haven't seen it,you must get Amtrak and VIA Rail carriages crossing the US/Canadian border?

I'll be using IC143 as part of my Interrail trip around Europe next March
Nice that you go this train in its current state. These trains are actually planned to be replaced by new ICE equipment from next year.

Nice video about the most comfy train in the netherlands
Love how we can hop on a train in one country and simply cross the border into another one without even noticing over here in europe. 😊

Amtrak has a few trains that go to Canadian cities, I don't know if any VIA trains go to US cities
Nice video
