Hugh Jackman was bursting with cuteness overload seeing this, so he picked her up, hugged her and spun her around.
I worked in a movie theater when this was out. I asked a coworker what Laura yells at Logan when he asks her why she hasn’t spoken until now. Apparently, she says something along the lines of “You’re really mean and always angry and you yell at everyone. Why would I want to talk to you?”
That makes a lot of sense. To Laura, Logan and Xavier aren't all that different from the people working at the lab she was part of. Logan is rude and tries to shoo Laura away, and Xavier's kindly behavior might look like a scientist's false sincerity and concern for her well-being.
After seeing Deadpool and Wolverine it helps me appreciate X-23 and the Old Man Logan story all the more here. Even if the director couldn't pull off a similar level of magic with Indiana Jones.
@ThatGuy-tg7cv ...but only if you voted Harris....and BTW....J PHOENIX SUCKED AS "THE JOKER"....or should we say Leto got closer to the character than .....
Keep in mind, HISHE (How It Should Have Ended) actually predicted the Opening Scene of Deadpool & Wolverine in their video of this film. That means they actually knew D&W was going to start after Logan.
With all the multiverse going on it’s easer to think that Logan took place in another universe. Especially since Deadpool pretty much went through all the universes
"You were an animal....I gave you a family" - I don't care what anyone says, that line gets me everytime. The hurt between the two of them just in that scene alone is heart-rending.
Another Fun Fact: According to director James Mangold, allowing the movie to be R-rated was important, not so much for violent content, but for style: "For me, what was most interesting in getting the studio to okay an R-rating was something entirely different. They suddenly let go of the expectation that this film is going to play for children, and when they let go of that, you are free in a myriad of ways. The scenes can be longer. Ideas being explored in dialogue or otherwise can be more sophisticated. Storytelling pace can be more poetic, and less built like attention-span-deficit theater."
This is how i wish most directors would treat the R rating. Not just as a gimmick, but as a genuine way to expand storytelling, and not just be constrained due to wanting to appeal to adult audiences, or even more just being edgy.
When I first saw Logan, I didn’t dislike it, but I didn’t like it either. It was a weird thing because I thought there were a lot of good parts to it, but I wasn’t crazy about it like everyone else
I always just assumed Laura not speaking was because the only one she trusted was Xavier who she communicated with telepathically so there was no need to talk, but after Logan saves her and she sees how upset he is over Xavier's death she begins to trust him too
2000: Hugh Jackman debuts as Wolverine and starts a new era for superheroes in X-Men. 2009: Wolverine has his disastrous origin movie in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. 2013: Wolverine has his second solo film. 2017: Logan killed off Wolverine. 2024: Deadpool brings him back and puts him in his iconic suit he never wore in the previous movies and is currently the highest grossing R-rated film.
A First Fact: The character X-23 debuted in the X-Men: Evolution cartoon and has also appeared in Marvel Comics. Also, at one time, she took on the identity as Wolverine after the "Death of Wolverine" comic arc, until 2018 and this is the first Wolverine stand-alone movie not to feature "Wolverine" in its title.
To quote the late great Norm Macdonald and something i'm sure Wolverine might be thinking about right now is “He has the disease of alcoholism. And he came to me... and he told me, and I’m the kind of guy that likes to look at the bright side of things. So I told him, I said, ‘Richie, it’s true that you have a disease and everything, but I think you got the best one.’”
7:42 It's hard to imagine because they're actually intended to be separate universes. According to marvel themselves, the original X-Men is universe 10005 and Logan is universe 17315.

A Scary Fact: Hugh Jackman induced dehydration for forty-eight hours prior to filming scenes of Wolverine shirtless, losing water weight. He added that the method is dangerous, and no one should attempt it at home. Jackman used this same technique five years earlier to create his emaciated look for prisoner Jean Valjean in Les Misérables.
M'yeah, it's not uncommon for men to put their bodies through crazy and sometimes dangerous diet and exercise regimes so they can achieve a certain look. See also: Joaquin Phoenix for Joker.
Fun Fact: Hugh Jackman stated in an interview that the only way he would reprise his role is if a crossover between Deadpool and Wolverine would happen. Both Deadpool movies have contained jokes aimed at Wolverine. Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool) is also close friends with Hugh Jackman. Hugh Jackman would be reprising his role as Wolverine in Deadpool and Wolverine as confirmed in 2022 by Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman. Thus, Deadpool & Wolverine was born.
Logan is not only one of my favorite X-Men movies, it is one of my all-time favorite movies. Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart and Dafne Keen should have got Oscar nominations and Logan should have been nominated for Best Picture, instead of just getting a nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay.
Wolverine and Deadpool have the best X-Men films (Minus Origins). And the thing that I love about both the Wolverine and Deadpool films. Is that the Wolverine films (Minus Origins) got Wolverine's humanity done right. While the Deadpool films got the X-Men done right. Especially Wolverine when someone lies to him or gets on his bad side. Just like how he is and gets in the comics sometimes.
The only complaint I had was that we only got to see Hugh jackman in the yellow suit in comic book form it always annoyed me that the movies were so dismissive of the yellow suit and it took 24 years for them to finally say “let’s put Hugh jackman in the yellow suit even if it’s a different version of him” it’s like if Spider-Man or Batman weren’t allowed to wear their suits and the closets thing we got was Peter in a red spider shirt with a ski mask and sunglasses and Bruce Wayne just wore his ski mask outfit while he prepping to be Batman. It annoys the ever living shit out of me when someone adapts a comic book is so dismissive of the costumes they wore in the comics I know the mcu had gotten some flak for their overdeigned bs and nano bots but at least they give a modern take on a classic costume like superhero’s wear costumes you’re kinda Eliminating the purpose when you’re just having the dude just be plain boring dude. I know some changes have to be made when adapting stuff but that doesn’t mean you have to wipe your ass with comics to seem more cool the mcu may not be the same as it used to be but I’m glad that they wear costumes and aren’t dismissive of what they were like can we stop doing that
Because the yellow suit is terrible. Wolverines are not yellow. He should be wearing either the brown and tan suit, the X-Force suit or the Ultimate X-Men suit.
@@SJ_RANKS I mean, the problem with the leather suits was not that they are inaccurate, but that they are boring to look at. Later on they gave us costumes that look cool and accurate to the comics.
I feel something in hindsight that makes this movie great is that it is conclusive. Movies have become used to build up to the next and next sequel. So, it's nice this one having closure even if its ties with the other movies is more symbolical than literal. I feel it also shows that perhaps you could try to do this more with long running movies, just having one at the very very end and close it. So even if there are future movies at least there's closure of some kind.
@@clintbrew Except some X-Men characters were actually done right in the Deadpool films. Like Colossus, Nega-Sonic, Yukio, Cable, Gambit, and of course: Wolverine.
it's ok. Everyone is wrong about something every now and then. Kind of like how people thought Transformers One was going to be just a kids movie and that a Nostalgia Critic review would be epic ;)
7:15 I always saw Logan as a separate universe to DoFP anyway. The way I see the movies: The first three films, The Wolverine, and Logan are one universe. First Class, alternate versions of the first three films (alternate as in there were a lot of scenes, characters, and dialogue that were different), and a mostly the same version of The Wolverine happened in a separate universe, then the timeline was changed in DoFP, leading to Apocalypse and Dark Phoenix happening. Origins Wolverine is its own universe. I haven’t seen much of New Mutants so I don’t know where I’d put it. And the Deadpool films take place in all the X-Men films, and at the same time they take place in none of them due to Wade’s fourth wall breaking. That’s how I see it.
I totally knew he was gonna do Logan 🍿 It's even part of my guesses: X-Men: Days of Future Past 🍿 Logan 🍿 Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness 🍿 Also Logan is a phenomenal film, after finishing the movie I heard it was based on the comic "Old Man Logan" which is an awesome comic by the way 😎
I'm so mad laura didn't drag him the extra 100 meters, seriously, you make he entire plot, get to Canada and you don't burry him in Canada (his place of birth)
15:17 related to the sponsorship skit: Thanksgiving is supposed to be a holiday where one can be thankful for what they have, for living, and all the good that's happened to them. Heck, the reason it's called Thanksgiving is that the settlers where thanking their God for not all of them dying off because they did stupid stuff that got people killed, even some native American indians came in and helped them, so they were also thanking those native American indians for helping them out. Thanksgiving has more meaning than what people think about as it's not about gluttony or football or the following Black Friday, it's about coming together and thanking those who helped you and whatever keeps you living.
I appreciate you using clips from X-Men: Evolution throughout the review. That show doesn't get nearly enough love and it's near impossible to find on DVD anymore. Plus, learning several months ago that the original version of Laura, her introduction version, is voiced by Pinkie Pie is freaking hilarious 😂
You're spot on in regards to Laura and X-24. They represent two different sides of Logan. She's an appeal to his humanity, and 24 is a frightening, lab-grown echo of the rageful berserker he used to be. I think the way they're incorporated is perfect, and I wouldn't change a thing except... I really wish they included Liev Schreiber's Sabertooth, like they were originally going to in the draft. His scenes with Logan were easily some of the best parts of Origins, and I would've loved to see that brotherhood have some kind of satisfying conclusion in, what was supposed to be, his final film. Still adore this movie though. As someone who grew up with Hugh in this role, it's In my top 5 comic book film all timers, easily. Deadpool & Wolverine was just as fulfilling for me, though in an entirely different way. I love the fact that Hugh is clearly still having fun playing Wolverine, and I honestly want him to keep going as long as he's having a blast with it!
Enforced Method Acting (from TV Tropes): During the crushing scene when Logan dies right in front of Laura, Dafne Keen was in legitimate tears while filming.
17:28 pretty sure that was actually an idea early on in the films development with Leiv playing Sabertooth but think it was cut due to how they thought an essentially younger Wolverine facing the current older Wolverine would make more sense and show more how thsi Wolverine has weakened
I hoping that X-24 was going to be Albert, the Terminator copy of Wolverine from the old comics. That would’ve made slightly more sense than just another clone.
Full disclosure; I’m old enough to remember the X-Men movies being released in theaters but I never watched them because superheroes weren’t really my thing growing up. I only saw Logan in theaters because I thought it looked good on its own and I still think it’s good after all these years. I’ve seen other X-Men movies since and while I enjoyed some of them, Logan will always be my favorite.
This was the first R-rated movie I saw in theaters, I hated it. I was not used to extreme violence and language (I was only 12 years old), and I was mad that Fox killed Wolverine. Looking back, it's grown on me, but it's not my favorite X-men movie.
Great as Logan is, there's a fan theory that started a few months ago that somehow makes it even better despite it coming from the movie that literally desecrated Logan's corpse: Deadpool and Wolverine. The theory? Logan takes place in 2029, while Deadpool and Wolverine is set in the same universe several years prior. What if Deadpool and Logan are the ones who wrote those comics in order to get Laura and he friends to safety sp she would end up meeting them in The Void to stop Casandra and save their universe? Think about it, Logan literally says barely anything in the comics is true... but that's because he's looking at them from HIS own personal experiences with his timeline. For all we know, those comics are solely based on the Logan variant from Deadpool and Wolverine. So, while this Logan would recognise some parts of the stories from his own experiences, the rest, all from his Variant's experiences, would seem like complete BS to him. And, we don't actually know for certain Mutants are completely gone at this point, only in the area outside Canada (which, given recent events, is uncomfortably fitting), so it's possible, with foreknowledge if the future, Deadpool, Wolverine, the older Laura and their friends found a way to keep the Mutant sterilisation chemicals out of Canada, making it the Eden for Mutant kind. It actually would explain WHY Canada is okay with taking in Mutants the US government are after or Mutants in general. So, thanks to Deadpool and Wolverine, there's a Glimmer of hope at the end of this movie despite America becoming a No Mutant Can Exist Country... which, again, given recent events, is uncomfortably realistic and fitting 😱😥
Logan was a torture both for the characters and the fans. But its success provided the studios to make all legacy characters alone, miserable alcoholic ungroomed old slobs 😢
I love when you all do your acting. It’s so well written and edited seamlessly. I want more of this and more first viewing. The Walker Bros reacting to movies is content gold.
One Last Couple of Facts: Director James Mangold was so impressed by the commitment of Laura's stunt double Rissa Kilar, he decided to give her a role in this movie. She was cast in the role of mutant "Pine Cone Girl", This is the first superhero movie to be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay. It is also the first superhero movie to be nominated for screenwriting since The Incredibles, Upon opening at 4,071 theaters in the United States, this movie became the widest opening R-rated release in cinema history. It was later surpassed by It, which opened in 4,103 theaters, The title of this movie is "Logan". This is a reference to Mark Millar's graphic novel "Old Man Logan", and was deliberately chosen to form an opposite from The Wolverine, Though Laura maintains a stern demeanor throughout the movie, Dafne Keen had to shoot her fight scenes across several takes, because she was having a bit too much fun, According to director James Mangold, this movie was influenced by the crime story The Gauntlet, and the dramas Paper Moon, Little Miss Sunshine, and The Wrestler; and the Wild West movies The Cowboys, Unforgiven, and Shane (Charles and Laura watch this movie as a tribute), It was believed that after the success of Deadpool, Twentieth Century Fox decided to aim for an R-rating for this movie, unlike the other Wolverine movies. However, it was confirmed in an interview with X-Men producer Simon Kinberg that this was not the case, and the R-rating was always going to happen, Stephen Merchant announced his participation in this movie by posting an Instagram picture, which showed him with a freshly-shaven bald head, and having a "Wolverine 3" tagline, though the post did not mention his character's name, nor any other specifics about his role. Later footage and notes revealed he is a kind-hearted mutant named Caliban, who is taking care of an aging and very ill Professor Charles Xavier, This movie was re-released in theatres on May 16, 2017 in a new black-and-white version, known as "Logan Noir". The new edition will also be included in the Blu-ray and 4K release of the movie, Stephen Merchant is the second actor to portray the mutant Caliban, after Tómas Lemarquis in X-Men: Apocalypse, Johnny Cash's cover of "Hurt" was used on the first trailer for this movie. Lyrics from the original Nine Inch Nails version were printed on the cover to the script draft for X-23: Innocence Lost, which detailed X-23's origin story, Theatrical movie debut of Dafne Keen (Laura/X-23), Sir Ian McKellen, who played Magneto in the X-Men film franchise, had expressed interest in appearing in this movie, Hugh Jackman said that he wanted this movie to be a mix of Unforgiven, The Wrestler, and Shane, This movie takes place six years after Wolverine woke up in alternate 2023 at the end of X-Men: Days of Future Past. However, it was later confirmed that the previous X-Men movies took place on Earth-10005, while Logan takes place on Earth-17315, The red band trailer was an unofficially released trailer, with the added bonus of a grainy clip of Wolverine/Logan stabbing a man in the head. The grainy clip was a small clip that was still being rendered, with no polished and fully rendered CGI, The second longest X-Men movie, behind X-Men: Apocalypse, Millie Bobby Brown auditioned for the role of X-23, James Mangold was very fond of Stephen Merchant's performance saying the actor makes it clear that Caliban has real affection for Logan and Xavier. More than that though, he likes the varied rhythm that comes with blending performers like Merchant into the mix, James Mangold described his initial sixty page treatment as Little Miss Sunshine meets The Gauntlet, This is the third collaboration between Hugh Jackman and James Mangold, having previously worked together on Kate & Leopold and The Wolverine, Second X-Men movie to have its world premiere at a major film festival (Berlin). The first was X-Men: The Last Stand, which premiered at the 2006 Cannes Film Festival, The second X-Men movie nominated for an Oscar, after X-Men: Days of Future Past, In September 2022, after years of hopeful speculation following the release of this film, Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman released an official teaser announcing a reprisal of their iconic Marvel characters, Deadpool and Wolverine, respectively--slated for Deadpool & Wolverine. They had previously played the roles in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. All 3 major films are in different continuities of Marvel's X-Men film franchise, The fourth comic book adaptation nominated for the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay, after Ghost World, American Splendor, and A History of Violence, Prior to Disney's acquisition of 20th Century FOX in 2018, it was believed that this film was going to be the final roles of both Wolverine (Logan) and Professor Charles Xavier by their respective actors in the X-Men franchise, Pierce's full name in the comics is Donald Pierce. He is named for actor Donald Sutherland, who played Benjamin Franklin "Hawkeye" Pierce in M*A*S*H, At 6'7", Stephen Merchant is a full foot taller than Tómas Lemarquis, who played Caliban in X-Men: Apocalypse.
Some More Last Facts: The third movie of the Wolverine trilogy, Richard E. Grant is the fourth Game of Thrones actor or actress to join the X-Men film franchise. After Peter Dinklage (Boliver Trask), Ed Skrein (Ajax), and Sophie Turner (Jean Grey), They were aiming for a "more natural vibe" with the film, and he mentions influences like The Wrestler, Paper Moon, and "a lot of '70s films", Sir Ian McKellen expressed an interest in returning as Magneto, Sir Patrick Stewart and Richard E. Grant appeared in A Christmas Carol, Richard E. Grant (Dr. Rice) and Sir Ian McKellen (Magneto in other X-Men movies) shared the role of the Great Intelligence on Doctor Who, This is Lennie Loftin's second comic book movie after Daredevil, Cliff Martinez was originally hired to do the score but for unknown reasons, dropped out and was replaced by Marco Beltrami, who has previously worked with Mangold before on The Wolverine, Road to Perdition and I Am Legend are considered possible influences behind the movie, This movie and The New Mutants are the only ones in the X-Men franchise produced and shot entirely in the U.S.
I knew it!! 💥 Like I said before, Logan to me is absolutely the 3rd BEST Marvel movie ever made behind Avengers Endgame & Avengers Infinity War. It’s one of the Top 5 Marvel movies to me. 👍🏻 Number 5: Spider-Man Far From Home (now hear me out & let me explain why. 😆 what makes that so great than other Spider-Man movies is that not only we see our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man saving lives in New York City but also this time in other counties in the world.) Number 4: X-Men (and why not? While Blade was only successful at the box office & just audiences, X-Men is the first successful film based on Marvel Comics that’s winning over both audiences & critics and that’s a good thing for Marvel to hear because they were almost going bankrupt at the time) Number 3: Logan And Number 2 & Number 1: (Of course) Avengers Endgame (the 2nd Highest Grossing Movie of all time bide away) & Avengers Infinity War
* I think the mutants getting wiped out in the new timeline relates to Beast's river metaphor in DOFP where despite a disruption in the stream, it leads to the same destination. Unfortunately, mutantkind was indeed doomed no matter what. * Doug's Champion of Christmas mode is seeping through early it seems.
4:55 Yay! Another reminder of how my favorite time of the year’s coming up. COMMERCIALS! I am hoping, maybe not this year but one year you cover one commercial in particular. A certain coffee commercial that has scared everybody that has seen it. Y’all know which one I’m referring to.
The reason that Laura never spoke was because she had Charles to communicate with (telepathically), thus eliminating the need to say anything. It's only when Charles dies that she's left with only Logan to (reluctantly) speak to
Another Fun Fact: James Mangold promoted the black & white version included on a second Blu-ray saying, "the idea of releasing a monochromatic version of this movie really was the very organic result of early stills that I was taking in production, some of which I was releasing on Twitter, and I was making them black & white, and I think it startled all of us because I think it's conventional wisdom that audiences don't like black & white, it seems old-fashioned. People responded so intensely to those stills that it occurred to us to try and make a black & white version of the film." He credits cinematographer John Mathieson with shooting a film that works beautifully in color or b&w.
To me, Logan will always be the best X-Men movie, as well as a comic book movie masterpiece. It's crazy to think that it'll be 10 years old in 3 years!
X-24 is a reimagining of a robot named “Albert” who was designed to perfectly imitate Logan so to better fight him. I just wish the director had felt clever enough to include some version of Elsie Dee (play on “LCD”), a robotic little girl who becomes Albert’s dearest companion. Doing that in a way that avoids campy kitschiness would have been tricky but not impossible. Albert in this film is actually a tragic little boy who’s been forced into an adult man’s body knowing almost nothing but violence, a child soldier, but there must be more than harsh training controlling him. I had a notion that Elsie could be an AI program who has been his companion his whole brief life, who “grew up” with him in a virtual reality simulation where it appears as a little girl. When he sleeps he’s plugged back into this fantasy world as his reward. She also controls a suite of flying drones with bombs on them, which would harken back to the original Elsie Dee in the comics also being a walking bomb. They could have done all that in five extra minutes without ruining the film and drive home how horribly tragic Albert a villain Albert really is, which I think went over most people’s heads.
My mother doesn't like Logan the movie cuz she has a crush on Logan himself & my guess she doesn't want him to die & probably happy he's back in Deadpool 3
I think Laura starts speaking at the point in the film is because her and Xavier have been communicating via Xaviers telekinesis. She's clearly more comfortable with him. When he dies she has to start communicating verbally with Logan because she doesn't have any choice.
I always felt, especially when walking out of the cinema after having seen Jackman's "last" time as Logan, that X-24 is meant to be a bit meta. Jackman wanted to step away from the role feeling it was too physically taxing as he was getting older. I felt it was very intentional that an "Elderly" wolverine ends up fighting a young one who is still in his prime.
There were some elements of the plot I wasn't a big fan of but I think I loved it for the overall tone. That tone was very bleak but it actually made me FEEL the bleakness and only a handful of comic book movies actually make me feel emotions other than excitement that they're doing a thing. Also at the time, I thought it was a very powerful way to send off these two characters I loved and grew up with. The fact that they have both come back to those roles since kinda sours that part.

That makes a lot of sense. To Laura, Logan and Xavier aren't all that different from the people working at the lab she was part of. Logan is rude and tries to shoo Laura away, and Xavier's kindly behavior might look like a scientist's false sincerity and concern for her well-being.

This should've been the last of the FOX X-Men films, aside from the Deadpool films.
AGREED💯💯💯💯

@ ok regardless give him a suit with a cowl i don’t understand why it took 24 years for them to get the picture
@@SJ_RANKS I mean, the problem with the leather suits was not that they are inaccurate, but that they are boring to look at. Later on they gave us costumes that look cool and accurate to the comics.
My one issue is the villains could have been stronger. Like Boyd was cool, but I wish Rice had a stronger personality

7:15 I always saw Logan as a separate universe to DoFP anyway.
The way I see the movies:
The first three films, The Wolverine, and Logan are one universe.

This was a much better ending for Hugh Jackman’s run as Wolverine (instead of him teaming up with Deadpool).
Enforced Method Acting (from TV Tropes): During the crushing scene when Logan dies right in front of Laura, Dafne Keen was in legitimate tears while filming.
I think X-24 was also meant to be a nod to Draken, Wolverina's son.........whose colors are black and grey.
17:28 pretty sure that was actually an idea early on in the films development with Leiv playing Sabertooth but think it was cut due to how they thought an essentially younger Wolverine facing the current older Wolverine would make more sense and show more how thsi Wolverine has weakened
You don’t even need to watch the other X-men movies to enjoy this. THATS how good this movie is
I hoping that X-24 was going to be Albert, the Terminator copy of Wolverine from the old comics. That would’ve made slightly more sense than just another clone.
Full disclosure;
I’m old enough to remember the X-Men movies being released in theaters but I never watched them because superheroes weren’t really my thing growing up.
I only saw Logan in theaters because I thought it looked good on its own and I still think it’s good after all these years.
I’ve seen other X-Men movies since and while I enjoyed some of them, Logan will always be my favorite.
4:55 We got the intro, I guess now we’ll just have to wait for a week or two to see the rest of this year’s Commercials Special. 😂
This was the first R-rated movie I saw in theaters, I hated it. I was not used to extreme violence and language (I was only 12 years old), and I was mad that Fox killed Wolverine.
Looking back, it's grown on me, but it's not my favorite X-men movie.
Same
This was the first movie that ever made me cry in the movie theatre
Fun fact: the girl who played X23 is the same girl that played the main character in His Dark Materials.
Back when less was better
Now that Disney got the X-Men, everything will be overblown with CGI and memes

I knew it!! 💥 Like I said before, Logan to me is absolutely the 3rd BEST Marvel movie ever made behind Avengers Endgame & Avengers Infinity War. It’s one of the Top 5 Marvel movies to me. 👍🏻
Number 5:
Spider-Man Far From Home (now hear me out & let me explain why. 😆 what makes that so great than other Spider-Man movies is that not only we see our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man saving lives in New York City but also this time in other counties in the world.)
Number 4:
X-Men (and why not? While Blade was only successful at the box office & just audiences, X-Men is the first successful film based on Marvel Comics that’s winning over both audiences & critics and that’s a good thing for Marvel to hear because they were almost going bankrupt at the time)
Number 3:
Logan
And Number 2 & Number 1:
(Of course) Avengers Endgame (the 2nd Highest Grossing Movie of all time bide away) & Avengers Infinity War
Have to say, the bit in this review that fast forwarded Logan destroying everyone while the Popeye theme played was for me chef's kiss perfect.

The reason that Laura never spoke was because she had Charles to communicate with (telepathically), thus eliminating the need to say anything. It's only when Charles dies that she's left with only Logan to (reluctantly) speak to
9:33 I thinks it’s best if WE ALL forget about that gosh awful movie
She wants to snap herself off a piece of a Huge Jackedman
2:21 oh he's in the walls....
HE'S IN THE GODDAMN WALLS
I think Laura starts speaking at the point in the film is because her and Xavier have been communicating via Xaviers telekinesis. She's clearly more comfortable with him. When he dies she has to start communicating verbally with Logan because she doesn't have any choice.
WAIT HE DID THE “COMMERCIALS” BIT THIS EARLY IN NOVEMBER???
THAT’S… honestly pretty funny.
They actually wanted to bring back Liev Schrieber to be Sabretooth but scheduling conflicts couldn’t allow
Logan was awesome!
It’s fantastic!
Well, if I needed a sign to watch Logan again. This is THAT sign.

There's a universe in the Comics where Logan Wayne's parents are killed, and he becomes Dark Claw. Essentially, it's a mashup of Batman and Wolverine.
