So many of these chargers are sold to sub arctic areas like Alaska. I’m replacing with winter grade cord. Nice to see the guts and methodology you used. Thank you!
Great video, I have the same wire problems with my Noco G15000 except worse. both red and black battery clamps have frayed wires exposed, red and black power wires frayed and exposed except worse than yours. I like the battery charger as it works great however both wires at each end going into the charger are of very poor quality and this charger was only used just a few times. I am almost finished with fixing it and it still works fine.
I think that Noco should have used a much higher grade of wiring and better coating such as a silicone or a rubber jacket. Other than that. it seems to be working well but way too expensive to not be upgraded with better wiring.
The case sems well built and may be able to sustain a car rolling over it. Vinyl wires are typically crap for outside use. Chargers usually are in unheated sheds so Noco failed the quality assurance in that department.

Thanks for the comment. The wires will not hold up well in cold climates for sure.

Too bad things aren’t made the way they should be from the start !! 73’s to you Andy from Tennessee
I agree. For he price I paid, it should have had better quality wire coatings.
Weird tamper screws. I have driven over my own smart charger by accident. Suspect mine will need some work before much longer.

It's always the little jobs that give us the biggest problems.
Ain't that the truth.
