i been shaving a half century and was around when the old Bic razor fad hit, i never stopped using my old gillette, i never really thought of any one blade being any other better than another, when i needed blades i'd buy a pack from what ever store i was in at that time, i stick in a blade and drag it across my face until i mowed them all down and that was that, with the internet people have alot more options and info on a lot of different products that you never knew was out there, i never knew there were so many different razor blades because most stores carried the same thing but with there own name on it, i just ordered a pack of feathers and ill see whats all the hype in, i'm sure it will be just another pack of blades like i been using for 5 decades
I’d say there has been a huge improvement over the years. Some blades have a triple facet cut/grind on them. Then there is different coatings that help with glide and sharpness. I’m looking forward to hearing your experience with the feathers. I have a ton of blades if you want me to mail them to you. Thanks for watching silverwiskers!

Nice video Matt.. My top 5 has changed time and time again but not by much. From time to time I will try a new blade and it makes it into the top 5. We all know how controversial the topic of blades are as everyone is different. I don't get along with the 365s and I think the Feathers are slightly over rated, just my opinion as the Feather was in my top 5 over a year ago lol. Thanks for sharing Matt. Hi Matt haven't tried 365 so can't comment. I noticed your Platinums were the dark blue pack have you tried the Platinums in the light blue pack (Swedes) considered to be the better of the two. Gillette Silver Blue, Nacet.Feather, Astra and Persona in a very aggressive razor. This may change as I haven't tried every blade on the market. Keep well and keep safe. Thanks for your opinion helps us all narrow down our purchases.

Try Willy's blade and 7 o'clock super platinum (black). You will amaze that how it is smooth and sharp. Both are from India.
