Hello Catharine. I just wanted to let you know that yesterday (Saturday), I stumbled across a podcast featuring you. The host was a lovely sounding Irishman named Alan Clarke. Your chat with him was delightful. I absolutely love your sense of humour, ........and views on being single.
Btw, I discovered your channel a little over two years ago. As a RUclips consumer of DIY content, I stayed and subscribed to your channel for your crafting inspirations, but admittedly I love learning about your garden every Sunday. You have definitely become one of my fave RUclipsrs who always brightens my Sundays. Thank you from Toronto, ON Canada.

Not so chilly here yet in the Philadelphia area. Leaves are slightly faded. No glorious fall color yet. October is when the big show is.

Chilly is a good thing🍂 it’s been so hot throughout this heatwave we’ve been in but we had a break this past week. Also a break from drought has been nice. It’s been rainy the past few days but today was overcast. Very nice. My plants are so lush and beautiful. My salvias are blooming again and just growing so much. The feel of fall is in the air. We will be in the 50’s at night next week. I’m so excited. I have so much to do this fall to get ready for spring. I’m in the Gulf Coastal area in the U.S. I’ve enjoyed watching your garden grow into a beautiful lush paradise.

  • @kindafoggy

Your garden is so inviting. Love the lush, happy Dahlias! My only recommendation is to keep that innocent looking ivy (draping over the wall with the mirror) from ever touching the ground in your beds or lawn. That's a never ending battle once it gets even a tiny, finger-hold in your space.

It's fun to start a garden book in a 3 ring notebook. Fill it with pages of pictures, hang tags from your plants, pages for notes. and stories. who visited your garden and when, a few notes on weather conditions, problems you encountered, new toys and additions to the garden...funny stories, what plants were gifts from friends, what was planted in each area and when, and little sketches of future plans. Many different kinds of pages can be purchased at office supply stores, even zipped pages to keep your seed packets. It's fun to refer back to over the years, and easy to add to also.I also used some pages for guests to sign and leave a comment or two....People like to grab mine when they stop by, and it's fun in the winter, referring back or checking out the dream portions....Mine is called, "Oops the perfect garden, must be next year."

Did you know that you can eat the sunflower seeds, two ways. 1st way is knocking the petals off and brushing on hot butter and seasonings and placing on a bbq and grilling it, eat it like corn on the cob. 2nd way is knocking of petals and letting the head dry then taking off seeds and putting on cookie sheets and spritzing a salt brine on them and baking.
