I still love your brick wall you painted. Everytime I watch your outdoor space I look for the brick wall, such a nice backdrop for anything you plant. I look forward to your videos, thank you for always posting something beautiful.
Fuel filter could have gunk in it. Easily replaceable. Replace air filter and spark plug. Take your spark plug out and go get a replacement. You have to make sure the gap is set the same. Some plugs gaps are already set, but check with the staff.
Hi Catherine. Probably a good idea to get your mower serviced and the blades sharpened. Especially if it's never been done. Will extend the life of your mower. We did that on a regular basis every year.
Consider changing the spark plug, air filter, and oil every spring. Very easy and makes the mower safe and more efficient! And, you bet much more out of you mower!
Hi my love. Your garden is amazing. Love the sound of the birds. I miss the birds as we had bird flu over here and it is very quiet and I miss not waking to the birds 😪 catch you next time
Oh Catherine hope your lawn mower engine hasn't burned up from lack of oil. Every time before starting your mower need to check the oil. Garden is beautiful. Thanks for the woodland walk. Very pretty. Potatoes plants look bigger to me. Yummy See you soon.
The problem with the lawnmower could be a spark plug or your fuel filter. Both are easy and inexpensive to replace. Thank you for taking us along on your walk. The scenery and nature sounds were so soothing and beautiful. Your garden is so beautiful. I'm finally (I hope) done with the cold and snow, so I've spent the past few days in my garden. Pure Heaven. The trees are starting to get their leaves so all this green and flowers blooming are making me a happy person!
I direct sowed borage 5 years ago and have never had to plant it again! It self seeds everywhere and I love it. It's always alive with bees and my 3 year old son loves to eat the flowers 😊
Your mower may need a tune up, also if any dirt got in the gas it could be the problem ( my son used to mow for me years and years ago and would lay the gas cap on the ground therefore dirt would get in the tank ) Your garden looks so lush and the woodland tour was very peaceful. The wild garlic field was stunning , thanks for sharing. Happy Gardening 👩🌾
The wild garlic is gorgeous! You take such wonderful photos! It’s always a joy to look at and I take screen shots to view again later. Your photos are so peaceful. I also love how the garden is looking - beautiful! 💖💖💖🦩
Your garden is so sweet. I, too, have a city garden with raised beds. I love watching your videos. I live in Denver, Colorado, USA. So the weather and growing zone is different, but I still love catching up with your garden every week. I have been watching you for the last 3 years and this is my first comment
I'd take the mower in for a service , they will change ur blades , oil , filter and make sure it's all tickity boo. Ask them to show you how to maintain it and how often to change oil and spark plugs ect. I did this and have done it myself ever since and my lawns lookd better for it. Now I have an electric one😎 I love it
Hi Catherine, I have to do a catchup on your videos I'm way behind, I enjoyed this one and was delighted you showed your potatoes and they're doing well. I planted two potatoes that were a bit past it to eat so I removed the growing bits of them except from the top (they looked like Karen's when they had "chitted") Well they've grown 🤗 and I'm excited to see them get bigger. I'll be keeping a watch on yourself and Karen to know when they're ready to eat 😋
Oh yes wild garlic ..... every little bit of it delicious (but incredibly invasive)! It’s a sign of ancient woodland. I have LOADS in my garden (the estate my house is on is built on what was ancient woodland before people got properly twitchy about tearing out that sort of nature and building on it)
Maybe put a new air filter on it, clean your spark plug maybe replace it, and run some carburetor cleaning additive in your fuel. It's easy and I know you can do it. It'll be grand!
Thanks for the walk in the wood! I spent a lot of time in the woods where I grew up in Pennsylvania. 😊😊 I love being in your garden, it's so nice with all your little sections.❤❤
Dainty u are the woman who inspired me to garden ❤ I watched a volcano disaster program recently and they found that volcanic ash makes an amazing fertiliser. 😲 you can actually buy it. There is caution on using it in veggies though due to heavy metals. But it will make flowers etc grow to their best abilities and fast!!
I live in a city in Los Angeles and L.A. Is big. So seeing this is beautiful, so serene and so many beautiful flowers in you country I had not seen.Thank you, cannot wait for your next episode.…M♥️M of 5
Hiya 🌞, l planted some chitted potatoes with miss 4.5 and theyve come up really well in their pots, so she's visiting again this weekend for "all Mummies Day" so we may check out one of them!( She's famous for pulling up carrots etc and telling them to " grow harder" if not happy with their size!! Lol! )Keep safe and well and content XOXO J.I.M.K Mrs. Brisbane, Australia 🇦🇺 😀 ❤
As always a beautiful video with lots of inspiration I so look forward to the gardening video it’s very relaxing sitting with a cup of tea and seeing what you’ve been up to ❤️
I put out my potato seedlings in pots yesterday (13th May). The weather here 🇨🇦 can be quite fickle but temperatures of 20C and up are predicted so my tomatoes and cantaloupe seedlings will go in the garden on Monday. I planted corn, beans, peas, lettuce, onions and flower seed mix yesterday. 🥵
I thought your red tulips were so pretty. The pink ones are beautiful this week! My grandfather used to plant tulip beds for my Grandmother. You'd have loved my Grandmother's garden she could grow anything, vegetable or floral she just had a gift. I didn't inherit it sadly. But I do try to always have some roses around because the remind me of her.
The view into your back garden from the gate is lovely.🌸🌼🌺🌷🌹🌾🪻 Wow! Your potato plant growth is incredible! I hope you try an allotment garden out front, or at least, the apple trees you mentioned.🍏🍎. Have a great week!
Greetings from Saskatchewan Canada, land of living skies and zone 2B/3. 🙂 It’s slowly warming up, tulips are up, buds are present but no blooms yet. In the Fall of 2021 I planted a bunch of Tete a Tete daffodils, no blooms last Spring, but I do see one bud starting this year, wahoo! My asparagus is also ready and I picked my first few spears two evenings ago…delicious! Love your videos, usually watch them more than once. Happy gardening💐
I loved this film. It's so uplifting and wholesome! My 'Blue Annelise' potatoes are only half the size of yours [here in Herefordshire, UK]. A little trick I do, is to turn the compost bag inside out, as I prefer the plain black as it is less obtrusive. Thank you so much!
For your lawn mower… have you checked the blade to make sure it’s not cracking up with old grass? That was a culprit with mine once. I took the mower and motor apart only to find it was old grass that was hard as a rock 😂
Loved the walk in the woods, and yes that feeling of the 'secret garden" we get is so lovely. Here in Melbourne I am taking myself to the tulip farm in the mountains a hour or so away to buy this years bulbs. Yours looked lovely.
Where I live there is a whole mass of wild garlic right outside my door. The smell is amazing. I’m not a lover of garlic however. Love your videos sweet lady. Sending you lots of love and prayers.x
I adore You sweet Garden and loved the walk in the woods ... happy gardening from New Zealand (as the Thunder storm comes in ) I have a lot of self seeded Aqualigias aka Granny's Bonnets going off at the moment with lots of lovely leaves ..no sign of flowers yet but we are in Autumn ...I was given some seeds off the Purple ones from my neighbours and they are slowly changing colours which is fun to see!
Started tomatoes, chillies, zinnia, cosmos, allysum, german chamomile going on 2 weeks. It's been unusually cool and rainy in California. Trying to be patient before planting them out. Have you heard of Eastern Redbud trees. Beautiful flower show, heart shape leaves and fall color. Maybe for front yard? Walking tour was so pretty. No one does it better than Mother Nature 🌱
Great video. The walk in the woods was lovely. Just a comment on your tulips: Dead head the whole stem of the flower to the ground you took the head off. Then only the leaves soak up the sun’s energy for the bulbs. When the leaves die back you can cut them off.
I am just starting my potatoes, planting seed for Bush green beans, Swiss chard got a bag of garlic and two rhubarb plants. Temps at night are staying around 40.
Hi Catherine , thanks for another beautiful garden video everything green and lush your potatoes look good hope they taste nice what lovely tulips. The walk in the woodland bit was o relaxing and so much to see. Great video. ❤👍
Garden is looking lovely. Here in Aotearoa, we are in Autumn. I was given a lot of dahlias -- well, i was given "4 plants" but once i got them home and checked out the tubers, I ended up with 55 dahlias. I potted them up and then put them in my nursery area to see how they'd go. Well, I checked on them yesterday when weeding my nursery area and discovered that they all have new leaves! I looked up if this is normal for my climate (zone 9), and it turns out that it is normal for them to keep leaves year-round! So, all in all a win!
U need to plant the sun flowers deeper into the pots. Just leave the leaves above the compost. Its a bleading heart the plant in the front u got as a bulb the pink and white flower
Wow...what a beautiful walk...what you photographed...was amazing! Thank you for sharing! Looking forward to seeing your garden grow this summer...see you next week.
Your garden looks beautiful. I've planted my tomatoes, and bell peppers. My grandson planted radishes and carrots from seed. He's watering them every day and I'm praying they will grow for him. We got our blackberrys tied up and put tensile on them(keep the birds away). We were able to get them down early this year. My apricot tree has fruit on it this year. My grandbabies are checking it every day. Tomorrow we're planting onions and some herbs from seed.
Your walk in the woods was lovely. May is so beautiful with fresh new leaves, more flowers are blooming and the birdsong is delightful. Gardening, I must go out and check my plants.
The bulb you got from Karen that is blooming is called Bleeding Heart. I’m in Michigan (USA) and mine is in bloom right now too.
Yes Dicentra - Bleeding Heart ❤️
Agree 100%
Mine are flowering too, I am in upstate New York
Mine too! I have 2, different varieties. Love them. We live about a hour north of Atlanta.🍑😊

I love the reflection of the flowers in the mirror on the wall fence!
At 13.37 it called a bleeding heart my favourite plant

Great clean up and garden looking wonderful. Thank you so very much for sharing this with us.🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Sunflowers take a while to recover from being pulled up. Baby them with patience.
Everything is so beautiful
For your lawn mower… have you checked the blade to make sure it’s not cracking up with old grass? That was a culprit with mine once. I took the mower and motor apart only to find it was old grass that was hard as a rock 😂
That is actually really really helpful! I’m gonna try that. Maybe some wd40 needed to oil things up ❤️
You live in a lovely place!

So loved the woodland walk. Faeries live there 🐞🐝🐌🌸🍀🌺
