- Keep fabrics scraps and clothing from landfills. I use selvage scraps. Which are the scraps of scraps to create a beautiful one of a kind useful small crossbody. I use up old jeans that would be thrown away.
Gift to family and friends, donate, sell or keep for yourself. Use up other scrap things around to embellish and create to your own style.
An easy tutorial that is easy to follow to help you create your own sewing project. Use up scraps of lace and ribbon to add unique embellishments to your own project.
Full tutorial, easy to make for all sewers.

Very nice and alot of work with sewing, filming and editing. Thank You for your dedication to sewing and showing others how to make a beautiful project!
Thank you for the kind words and for watching 😊
It’s amazing how the selvages add up.
It really is and I just love how unique the new fabric looks when it’s sewn together.
What a cute little bag!!! I save my selvages and this is a great way to use them up. Thank you for a great tutorial!!
You are so welcome! Thank you for watching ☺️
Another great tutorial with a beautiful finish. As you created I tried to guess what you were making (I'd missed the word crossbody in your description), starting with a hot pad, then a pouch, before I guessed it must be a bag haha. Now I have another project to add to my selvedges list. I've had a break from sewing for 3 weeks so itching to get started again next week. Looking forward to seeing what you next create with your selvedges. All the best for 2025 🤩
Thank you! I’ve got so many selvages and my quilting friends keep giving me more… I’m not sure I will ever run out 😂
I'm always surprised by how much fabric people cut off with the selvage edge. I cut mine off right at the edge of the white, which gives me the full amount of colored fabric to use. Then I just toss the white strip with no guilt. Thanks for sharing your tips.
I use every bit of scrap I can! 😅
Nicki, this is sew clever!!
Thank you Heather, I love what you did there 😁
I’m coming back to try this❤
Thank you, my daughter has claimed my bag already 😃
Love it. Would take me about a month to make 🤣 new subscriber
Thank you for subscribing 😃
Very cute bag! Thx for sharing
You’re welcome 😊
💛
Thank you Cathy 😊
Did you use the little pieces you cut off the longer strips at the end where you needed smaller pieces?
Yes, I don’t throw any away 👍🏻
I have some more for you!
Thank you, you’re my star 🤩
What model of Juki sewing machine are you using?
Mine is HZL-DX7, I love it 😍
3/8 if an inch is 10cm not 1cm. Fyi
You must be thinking millimetres not centimetres. It’s actually 0.9525 cm
